Spirit nerf can’t come soon enough
I really enjoy her a lot and I’m super excited for her nerf. Right now though, I don’t feel like playing her because she hasn’t gotten the nerf yet. I just feel bad for survivors because she still isn’t fun to play against right now. At least we don’t have too much longer to wait, only 2 weeks.

The only thing that makes a killer fun to play against is winning. Any killer that is easy to beat and doesn't require too much thinking or game skill to do so is fun and balanced.
The people complaining about Spirit never cared about balance. They didn't even try to enjoy having really pay attention to the killer's movements and using what you learned to outplay the killer. They just know that they can't run in circles or in a straight line and win, so they complained. Or maybe their favorite streamer told them Spirit is OP and it's ok to d/c against her.
All I know for sure is: if Spirit is still strong after yet another series of nerfs for her, they'll complain and d/c just like they have all along until she finally gets nerfed into oblivion and is no longer fun to play as.

Balance is the single most difficult aspect in a game to achieve and we cant fault them for taking so long as it takes so many finetuned tweaks in order to find that grey zone where the character isnt overpowered or underwhelming. Sometimes its back and forth on a scale until the proper place is found.

My only problem with current Spirit is the same I have with all other high mobility killers, hook tunneling the second a rescue takes place. Otherwise, I actually enjoy playing against her and countering her with my stealth. It is so fun watching her look behind trees, rocks and in lockers, trying to find me but never being able to. It's even better when she acts like shes leaving only to vape back to the gen, hoping to catch me off guard. Bonus points when they do it two more times.
Even in chase, I never thought she was terrible to face. The moment I hear her vape sound, I just walk back over my tracks and usually escape or at least buy enough time to make it to a pallet. Yea, she's strong and hard to predict, but it isn't really much different with how killers have to play around tiles where they can't see the survivor but the survivor can see the tops of their heads and/or red stains.

You can learn to predict what the player is going to do though. You can watch and see if they're the type to fake phase, or see if they anticipate survivors slow vaulting and phase to the correct side, do they quickly notice a survivor doubling back, etc.

I just want her new chase theme tbh, it's so sick. I love Spirit, but her ancestor Oni just has my heart. His own mind game potential at loops I've mastered with his power he's probably my strongest killer right now. Plus, I love the roaring across the map and clocking people with a massive club.

I have to agree with this. This is why I enjoyed playing against Spirit because she's the definition of PvP. Your suppose to trial and error and notice a pattern in your opponent to beat them.

Never had a problem with Spirit. Players who put the time in to be an efficient killer with her deserved the reward. Same goes for Nurse. Whenever I lost to them I didn’t feel like I lost to some cheap ######### like the speed buff & wall hacks on Wraith. F him and his mother.

I am definitely going to start to play her much more once she is nerfed.
Of course DBD isn't a stranger to killers that can have more limited and situational counterplay in chases, like Nemesis or Pyramid Head, but Spirit is just a complete guessing game.

If they felt that she was cheap when she was bugged to the point of being blind and deaf, nothing will be enough. The reactions around Spirit have not been logical, and you're not going to get acceptance just because Spirit has been nerfed.

I’ll get acceptance from reasonable people. There are plenty of people that are reasonable about Spirit, but the ones that aren’t I never felt bad for.

I don't understand why you would feel bad about playing Spirit. Survivor players don't feel bad about running meta loadouts with juicy Medkits and burning Cowshed offerings

Known spirit mains are saying she plays as usual and pepega killers are having a mental breakdown that they can't make survivors do a guessing game.
It's a Nurse nerf all over again. Chad Nurses are playing great and baby nurses has to think about retirement.

I’ve mained spirit since her PTB and Spirit mains are all in agreement this is a massive nerf that completely has killed her. She has no anti loop potential now as survivors can pin point her exact location, she has a mediocre transition counter that won’t work most of the time, a lot of her good add ons were nerfed for seemingly no reason, and on top of all this they did nothing to actually somewhat compensate this nerf. They threw her in a coffin, put all the nails in, buried it 10 feet underground, then threw that chunk of land into a volcano.

what a childish response. Just because I know a lot of spirit mains as a spirit main doesn’t mean there’s a ‘secret council’ lol plenty of spirit mains voiced their concerns on YouTube and the forums when the patch went live so I’m sorry you can’t figure out how to do research.

I think you just suck at dbd if you think an M1 110% killer is balanced or good. Explain how she’s good if survivors can know her location while phasing and just vault over the pallet when she gets close? Explain what she does there

She's been nerfed already via BHVR's incompetence and giving her audio bugs. Maybe stop using busted add-ons and you'll see what most of us are facing when using her, she is hard-countered by iron will which is used all the time and you can't hear anything properly right now with the audio being wonky.
But hey.. two can play this game, when is BHVR going to add ban modes so we can ban DS/DH/BT/UB since they've added SBMM already to this game and have turned it into a competitive game.

Dude flat out admits he won’t play her and if he did play her he’d understand she really isn’t bad in live servers especially against veterans who know how to play lol. Like if they wanna mute breathing sounds n stuff while spirit phases then whatever. But giving survivors the EXACT location of the spirit while she phases was just gross.

Yeah they like it because they can just drop her entirely. I play Hag and Trickster well so yeah I can just drop Spirit too but I don’t want to. I like her power, I like her concept, I like her aesthetic, and I like her cosmetics so I don’t WANT to have to drop her entirely I mean I’ve played her since her original PTB for gods sake :/

like other members pointed out :
- They play spirits a lot
- Most of spirit players that play other killers feels bad on playing him before nerf
- The only one whining about nerf is ONLY spirit mains that can play spirit without playing other killer, now we will see more spirit player than previously due to feeling guilty,
so conclusion SPIRIT only player will drop her off entirely and don't play DBD, and more spirit player that used to like her will come back to play her again including myself

Exactly but these changes kill that playstyle. Since survivors can know your position perfectly they can counter playstyle perfectly.
