What's your first thought when you see Devour Hope activate? What do you do?

If not downed/on hook I go check the finished gens, most times it's a hex totem the randoms decided not to cleanse even though it was right next to them.

If I'm on second hook I'll let myself die so teammates have little longer before mori activates.

If it is me who gets downed by it, I usually curse my stupid lazy solo teammates who never look out for totems.

If its not me who gets downed by it, I giggle with glee and become one with the shadows until I find the totem and devour it, using it's energy to become my sustenance and enlarge my ever growing bush.

If my teammates were toxic or just hiding in bushes and I'm at the point where I want all the suffering to end, I locker spam the killer to come mori me, or run up to them and butt dance while they're moring someone else and patiently wait for my turn.

I'm usually the one downed by Devour Hope because I don't care or not if I get spotted which generally means I get spotted a lot.

I usually just shrug and go 'oh okay'.

If I'm not the lucky survivor that goes down I usually just shift into being a gen jockey since the natural instinct people have is to go on a totem hunt and I know the killer is going to step away from the hook and defend his totem so...gen jockey.

Worst case scenario I get a unique death animation. I don't really mind it. I'm not gonna go out of my way to see the mori animation but if it happens, it happens.

I check all the spot's i know a totem spawns for instance on badham there is always one either by the mattress downstairs or next to the desk in the same area downstairs next to where the gen would be

always check next to shack pallet or near shack

always check next to tires and also always check every T&L wall

check the main structures or near them

check unique loop locations (like the bus on autohaven or the shrines on family residence)

don't expect it to be in the open (unless your on coldwind or the red forest)

check in the space behind the lockers in the hallway of midwich

if it is still not found avoid getting found and do a gen all by itself and make sure there is a locker nearby

if the killer is a stealth killer welp hope you brought spinechill if not there's nothing you can do except hide in dwight's apartment or duck into the grass and blend like p3 claudette (unless your wearing a blighted collection outfit, neon nights collection, or seoul sight's collecton outfit's.

basically step 1. try and find it. step 2. do gens. step 3 attempt to hide and hope somebody else finds it. step 4 get found by the doctor with distressing, bbq, im all ears and infectious fright and get shocked to death by devour with 5 tokens

Basically it becomes "Totems Time!", unless only 1 gen is left, or 2 near completion. 😅

I wonder how the hell I didn't already cleanse it. It would really scare me if it took that many hooks to find it. Like, I would probably just give up.

One shot a couple more Survivors and start the Mori train.

I ask "Am I the only one looking for Totems?"

WHERE IS THAT DEVOUR?!?!!

My first thought: Again? XDDD

I then enjoy the show with Kindred as everyone squats in the corner doing nothing or self-care. Meanwhile, I'm looking for the totem. 

Make a mental note to add it to the list of perks the killer equipped, curse against the Claudette that wants to be healed RIGHT NOW and start checking totem spots

Either the totem goes down or we all go down

And have flashbacks to when I would never upgrade devour hope so I could get a stealthy mori off
