No she doesn’t, especially at pallets/structures. She has no way of knowing which side of the pallet/window the survivor is standing on, even without iron will. It is a legit mindgame. With the new changes, survivor will know her location and be able to stay safe.

Personally, I thought she was fine as is; she has counterplay, it's just a lot of energy to maintain randomness. But, I'm fine with the current nerf, because it doesn't change her too much and I can appreciate not wanting to face her in her current state. I mean, I can play nurse on console fairly well, but I don't like to often because it takes a lot of mental energy.
I do worry that she will become too easy to evade, though, because people that play a lot already know how to counter her. My brain is predicting that she will be tolerable to face for regular survivors but too easy for survivors that play a lot.

Most people actually believe that the Spirit will no longer be playable..... Instead, others are muzzled with any arguments until they say nothing more. For those who claim the Spirit would be dead after the patch, they are wrong and will be very surprised. I am then curious what comes next about what is complained about

She won’t be too easy to dodge. It will be tough against good survivors but with a killer as strong as Spirit, the skill will pay off eventually and that’s how strong killers should be.

Nope, in fact PH is a good example of what is wrong with killer. It is way too hard to consistently hit his power, and even then it has limitations. He is way too much work for too little reward, not to mention his cages, which can often help the survivor. If you are going to put that much effort into the game, you are far better off playing someone like nurse or blight. PH is a pointless character.

Compared to Nurse, Spirit, Blight? He comes nowhere near them. If you want to deny reality, that’s your problem. In hexy’s tournament, Nurse averaged 2k. When ph was used, he was lucky to get two hooks. Like most of the cast, he is irrelevant.

There's being a top-tier killer and then there's being a strong killer. Whilst he isn't top-tier, Pyramid Head is definitely a lot stronger than people give credit for and is in absolutely no way, shape, or form a weak killer.

Are you really going to base this off the highest level of DBD? That’s just not a fair argument. Everyone knows only the top tier can compete which isn’t really a PH specific problem. High level DBD is just boring and no one cares about it.

Then why are we talking about character strength at all? Yea, if no one knows how to play the game, pyramid head will dominate. But the same can be said of every killer, which makes character strength discussions pointless. This is the only community that thinks it’s valid to discuss the game at a level in which people are bad at the game.

I have to disagree. If that were true, genrushing wouldn't happen. The fact is that many, many survivors think escape = fun. So matches where they completely outclass the killer and escape with ease are the best to them.

There a lot of middleground, i.e the vast majority of the playerbase, that is in between "not knowing how to play the game" and "literal tournament play."

This game is polarizing. Either you know how to loop/hold forward, or you don’t. What makes an average player? Someone who hides? Someone who does gens but can’t loop? If you know how to loop/tiles, you will guaranteed waste a ton of most killers’ time.

Stealth, pre-drop pallets, obscuring scratch marks around loops, Los breaking, etc.
Lots of better players (streamers) with loads of footage for review. If you want indepth visuals and commentary breakdown, try a tru3talent video on the subject.
Don't have to like everything a streamer does, but look for videos that provide a clear factual basis for the tips.
I've seen lots of video counterpoints with emphasis on the feeling of fairness while making really basic mistakes against her.

Come on don't be disingenuous. You know damn well there is more to the survivor gameplay than holding forward. I can absolutely immediately identify a decent survivor, a bad survivor, a good survivor, or an extremely good survivor. The fact I can tell the difference indicates there is a difference between them to begin with.

IW doesn't change whether or not you can read what a Spirit is going to do. Hating spirit is popular, that's why there's a "consensus". It doesn't matter how many hours of footage show her getting repeatedly stomped, how many high level players detail and demonstrate her counterplay, all of the data that shows she is barely in the top 5 killers by kill rate (and since that was last year, probably dropped out of the top 5 by now), or that she only has a 5% pick rate which contradicts the "every other match is Spirit" narrative, people are going to complain until she's nerfed down to D Tier.
Just watch. Between her last set of nerfs and this one, survivors have gotten everything they wanted and said they needed for "fair" and "fun" play against her. Her best add-ons were changed, you know when she's phasing and where's she at while doing so, IW hard counters her, and none of the previous nerfs were reversed. But as soon as survivors have to face the fact that they still can't beat her easily because they only want to run in loops or in straight lines, they'll come back complaining that she needs the dust kick up mechanic or a full on rework with a new power.

Mother daughter ring was in fact not changed but her greens were all too strong anyway. Survivors just want a killer who they can use their skills against. This is why killers like blight, billy, huntress and Oni are so well liked because the survivors actually do something to counter them. Right now spirit is just you guessing at a loop. And I’ve already stated in the past that I want iron will nerfed anyway.
Fact is current spirit has no feedback at all and is the only killer who doesn’t so it only makes sense to give her some

Yeah I always have. I was just hesitant before to play her which caused me to play her less than I could have but now that she’s getting changed to be fair, I won’t have that feeling anymore.

You should know as well as anyone that holding forward is incredibly strong. Survivor takes minimal skill and is much more about running early and knowing tiles. Killer takes significantly more skill.
No, it’s not good enough, especially when killers like Nemesis and DS can do it for much less work. The cages are usually complete RNG. You can’t know at all times where the survivors are, so you’re hoping it doesn’t spawn next to one of them. Decent survivors rarely clump together, so more often than not you will be sending the cage to a nearby teammate. It is utterly worthless.

If you use cages as alternative hooks and not as a way of creating a lot of pressure by preventing Unbreakable from activating in a situation you'd otherwise slug in and immidiately chase another survivor then of course they'd be bad because you're using them wrong.
Nemesis needs to hit survivors three times, his hitbox is janky and depends on where your camera aims, has an even more limited range, and cannot hit through walls. Deathslinger has a longer range but is a 110% killer so high wall loops with predrop will kill him. He also cannot hit through walls.
Pyramid Head sits in the middle with range (8m), but is 115, can hit through walls, has a much better hitbox too, and can be used in situations outside of animation lock believe it or not.
I main the twat, I know how to play him, he is easily better than Nemesis and if PTB slinger hits live then easily better than him as well.

I agree.... I watched True test things out and I what i saw was that this nerf is good enough for those that have and use headsets but those that don't are still going to have trouble

Cages spawn at the furthest point from PH so you can generally guess where it is pretty well. Cages are mainly for stopping ds/pallet saves anyway so it doesn’t matter too much if the survivors save early. Also while I will say killer is the harder role there is a lot of skill to playing survivor especially when it comes to looping.

Yes, you can often tell where the cage will spawn. The problem is that you can’t know if there is a survivor in that region or not. If saving three seconds or avoiding a pallet is the best you can say for cages, i’d say you just confirmed they are weak.
As someone who plays ALOT of survivor, saying that it takes much skill just isn’t true. These days you don’t even have to know how to loop. Just hold forward and slam pallets early. The only reason you normally lose at high ranks is by making a huge mistake or getting a potato in your lobby, but that’s the nature of a team game.
