Spirit power rework
I and many others feel this rework was a taaaaaaaaaaaaaaad bit too much of a nerf to be called a "increase for skill playing as and against her". devs, BHVR, mods, can we get your attention to how you could have just removed the fact that survivors couldn't hear her phasing sound in her terror radius? this would negate her standing still mindgame and let survs know when she is actually phasing and would keep her still in a relatively high potential as killer. no directional phasing, no footprints, just straight phase sound regardless of if you are in her terror radius or not.

Directional phasing and seeing footsteps don’t completely ruin her so stop being dramatic. She’s still super fast and incredibly strong, but a bit more on the balanced side.

I don't know man I don't think being able to move rapidly and instantly appear and hit somebody is strong especially if they know where I'm coming from.

I have seen plenty of videos on it and as someone who heavily played spirit it does ruin her quite a bit, i am not being dramatic, just realistic. realistically the devs could have balanced her as I suggested above and she would have been fine, spirit and nurse were the only two killers whose power promoted mindgame that the SURVIVORS had to do and they couldnt cope while all other killers have to mindgame the ######### out of pallets and good loops to get a hit. now the devs are taking the mindgame out of spirit as you can just turn up your volume and sit at a pallet

oh but dont forget, instaheals, BNP, the upcoming boon totems that allow you to self heal at a speed of "we'll make it" and numerous copout perks are balanced, but mindgaming survivors with a killer power is wayyyyyyyyyyy too OP

For the 1000th time, she moves 76% faster than the survivor and the sound isn’t exactly as reliable as you think. She will be fine as long as you are good with her.

This is probably my second most unpopular opinion, but my favorite version of Spirit was the first one, back when she didn't have a vault animation and had collision while using her power.
That is the Spirit that I really loved.

I have seen plenty enough vids on the ptb to know that the sound is going to break her. in the ptb before spirit was even released she had a directional sound bug that completely destroyed her and made her so incredibly obvious to play vs it was insane. that was a BUG that had to be patched to make her playable, now BHVR is re-introducing it as an update saying it isnt even a nerf.

I disagree, I think the directional sound is good, as it gives survivors a bit of information they can actually work with, and their counterplay therefore doesn't only consist of complete guesses.
I wouldn't mind if they reduced her ability cooldown though, from 15 to like 12 seconds for example. We'll have to wait and see how she does after the nerf.

She didn't need any nerfs tbh. She was fine. If you were that spooked by her, use Spine Chill

How do killers like Huntress, Pyramid Head, Nemesis, Clown or Oni for example have to mindgame the ######### out of pallets or other loops? Don't get me wrong, they have a fair amount of counterplay on the survivor side, but they themselves have a lot of counterplay against survivors as well. Which is how it should be.
No, I would say Spirit and Nurse are the two killers where mindgames are definitely in their favor, especially Nurse. Other killers have more equally fair mindgames. Hell, killers like Nemesis or Pyramid Head have lots of counterplay against survivors, and generally are not easy to counterplay as survivor either.
