Michael Myers build help

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve played DBD. There’s so many new perks and changes, and I’m struggling to play my main, Michael, again. I’m getting bullied pretty bad.

Any recommendations for builds? I’m still trying to get the Evil Incarnate trophy but it’s so difficult. Any advice for play styles or builds (including add-ons) or strategies would be super appreciated 😁

The only real builds for Evil Incarnate are double iridescent addons, and Play With Your Food to try and counteract the speed debuff.

I actually got that achievement yesterday, and I would put it down almost entirely to the fact that I rolled Hawkins. Do you have any map offerings for that map? It's very very good for Michael in general tbh, but you've got a limited time to get that work done.

Bamboozle is underrated on him. People who hate on Bamboozle are the ones getting bamboozled by survivors. Its the truth.

Now I am a memer, so I run fire up too. Do I recommend it to others? Well, yes... But actually no.

Save The Best For Last, Bamboozle, I'm All Ears, Coup De Grace. Those are three perks that are very nice on Mike. I wouldn't recommend running them all simultaneously, except maybe STBL and Bamboozle. But you should probably just run the one which tickles you fancy the most. They're all great perks for either antiloop or crowd control.

Lethal Pursuer, Corrupt Intervention. These two perks are a necessity for Mike. They make his early game way less painful. Especially on big maps where it's hard to fund survivors. Lethal lets you find them right at the start letting you get out of t1 as fast as possible. While also not letting gens fly because of corrupt.

Spirit Fury, Enduring, Brutal Strength. Any of these perks are great for him around pallets, they allow you to have much more pressure in chase as predropping pallets will be way less effective. Spirit Fury especially, when it's active you just dont need to respect pallets, which when you're in T3 is key.

Bamboozle is very strong on Myers, it makes his vault speed almost as fast as Survivor medium vaults when you are on EW3 and it also blocks L/T walls, "god" windows and forces faster shack pallets drops.

M&A is also very strong, it makes his TR on EW2 so small you can pretty much sneak upon anyone unless you are on the open and it also fuels his biggest strength, being able to sneak into the strongest Survivor with 99% EW3 and down him in seconds, a chase that could last 2 minutes or more suddenly lasts 2 seconds.

If you are using BBQ get rid of it, is worthless on Myers, there are much better detection perks for him like Thrilling Tremors or Discordance.

Ruin is also not very good for it works better in the early game with high pressuring Killers, something that Myers sucks at, PGTW works much better.

Wait for next patch October 19. they're removing slowdown from tombstone on tier 1 and 2 so it's gonna be easier to get achievement

  • In terms of choosing perks i think they best way to think about it is, The Shape's power comes down to having a small terror radius, slightly faster vaulting and a built in haunted grounds with slightly longer lunge, basically.

So with that definitely do not run terror radius perks because they won't see much use much use outside of tier 3. Instead it's a good idea to decrease your terror radius even further using Monitor and Abuse and the Dead Rabbit Add-on. Both these add-ons combined give you a 6 meter terror radius when not in a chase in Tier 2. You could also use Furtive Chase to counteract the downside of monitor and abuse, and has good synergy with Judith's Journal. This makes it easier to stalk survivors and also gives them little to no audible warning of your approach. Also, Infectious Fright is good on Tier 3.

He has slightly faster vaulting, which can make you slightly unpredictable but it's not worth relying on in a chase. If you use bamboozle or fire up, then you can have a very fast vault. Pallet breaking perks are also a good idea. You can also use Coup De Grace to increase your tier 3 lunge even further.

Many perks work on shape, due to the fact he does not use a special attack. Feel free to experiment.

With evil incarnate it's recommended you use Play With Your Food to counteract the speed debuff of Judith's Tombstone (Btw use both ultra rare-addons for this) and the other three perks are whatever you think would make it easier. Unfortunately there is a counter to tombstone, it's just hiding in lockers. When this happens you cannot kill them using the add-on, which makes it really hard to get this achievement because you just have to hope that the survivors don't do it.

I believe a Myers build should focus on his strength. Which is tier 3, unless ur doing a meme jump scare build.

So, when in tier 3 you need find multiple people quickly and end chases quickly. His lunge is longer already and he vaults a little faster.

My recommended build is Bamboozle, Monitor&Abuse, Infectious fright and Corrupt intervention.

Corrupt to make the survivors come to you

Bamboozle the vault even faster and corner survivors in chase

M&A and IF to down and get into chase again as soon as possible.

Monitor can be changed with Ruin/Pop if you want gen defence as well.

To be honest, I think running 4 slowdowns is justified here. The slowed movespeed is a kick to the teeth. I think running Corrupt Intervention, Ruin, Undying and Pop Goes the Weasel and the green stalk addon should get the job done.

Bamboozle, Corrupt Intervention, Infectious Fright, Monitor and Abuse

I play Myers a lot. He needs a combination of early game slowdowns and chase perks. I like to Corrupt Intervention/PGTW/Bamboozle/Monitor and Abuse.

Corrupt will help buy you time to stalk early. Pop is good regression once you get rolling. Bamboozle is a great chase perk and synergizes with his increased vault speed in tier 3. M+A gives you an 8 meter TR in tier 2. Great for sneaking up on people.

Wow thanks for all the advice, everyone! I’m definitely going to try out some of these builds. So many different styles, but they all sound really fun & useful in different ways. Just gotta grind away at bloodwebs to get some of these perks.

Someone mentioned that his add-on is going to be buffed so that he’s not so slow anymore, thus making the achievement easier. So if I can’t do it by then, hopefully this patch will help :)

All of the advice people gave me helped tremendously. With the iri add-ons and Hawkins, I was able to get the Evil Incarnate trophy first try! And I’ve been getting a lot more kills.

    Thanks so much guys 😁

Either Corrupt Intervention or Lethal Pursuer is a must. You got to find the survivors and start stalking asap. Ruin and Undying of course if you wanna be super meta or maybe Surge or Pop Goes the Weasel if youre more chill.

Obviously three gens going off while you're trying to stalk isn't fun so one Gen Regression perk and either Lethal or Corrupt is needed if you wanna have a good game against half way decent survivors. For your other two Infectious fright is great for getting the most value out of tier three, Monitor and Abuse is great because it makes your already low terror raidius in tier 2 lower AND stacks with the Dead Rabbit addon so at tier two youll be on them before they know it. Also Bamboozel is good because it stacks with the extra vault speed in tier three.

For addons I would go with the ones that make your stalking faster and his tier three longer or again Dead Rabbit to stack with Monitor and Abuse.

For Evil Incarnate I did with Corrupt, Ruin, Undying, Deadlock with both iri add-ons.

For normal build I like: BBQ, Surveillance, Pop and either Corrupt / Ruin / Eruption / Oppression. add-ons are just for stalk speed.

for actual michael play? Lethal Pursuer, BBQ, Infectious Fright, Corrupt Intervention. Build I usually run on him.

Play With Your Food is great on him. Get all 3 stacks off of your obsession, fill your Evil Within to almost tier 3, and go find the others. Go tier 3, down that survivor, leaving you with 2 stacks of PWYF. Infectious Fright will let you know if there's anyone else around to start a snowball. Either way, Tier 3 Myers with that speed boost is deadly. For the other two perks, I usually go with Ruin/Undying, but you can swap them out with whatever you feel will help with gen defense.

Discordance, Brutal, Pop, Corrupt, addons: j memorial, dead rabbit.

You could run the best build with the best add ons and nothing will compare to time played. Having game sense against good survivors will net you kills and even wins, because truthfully Myers is pretty awful in this game.

My only suggestion with myers is not so much perk related but to practice timed tier upgrades. What i mean by that is practice myers with tier up to almost 3 like a tick away from a survivor or 2 so that you can quickly pop EW3 and insta down more than one person that imo is myers strength and its hard to master doing it right because you dont want to ever waste your tier 3 on only one person if it can be helped.

For Evil Incarcerate I recommend Corrupt Intervention, Play With Your Food, and Whispers.

As a general build I like Bbq, Surge, Corupt, and Whispers.

For evil incarnate, double iri add-ons, ofc.

Perks: pwyf, corrupt. Then pick any combo of bamboozle, brutal, ruin, or deadlock. You can also use whispers for that last kill.

For general gameplay, same perks, except you can ditch pwyf and add to the mix pop, monitor, coup de grace, undying, infectious, discordance . Someone likes Lethal Pursuer, but that perk is massively overrated. Finding survivors is not difficult in general, if you know spawns, and you even have a stalking ability that highlights their outlines.

Trail of Torment w/ the infinite tier 3 add-on (Fragrant Tuft of Hair) is quite fun. I recommend using J. Myers Memorial with said add-on. Once you reach tier 3, you basically have permanent NOED, and with Trail of Torment you can sneak up on survivors and instadown them without them expecting you. I recommend using Corrupt Intervention with this build, which will allow you to reach tier 3 without losing as many generators, and chase-dedicated perks such as Bamboozle (which is helpful for his supervault in tier 3), Enduring + Spirit Fury, or Brutal Strength.

    Congrats!

I was going to say when I play infinite tombstone myers I tend to go for save the best for last, then stack slowdown perks to give me enough time to get the final tier off. You already cracked it though so GG :)

Ruin, undying, tinkerer and STBL/lightborn is a good go to I find.

I'm looking forward to the rework though, a lot of the speed debuffs will be reduced from the iri addons.
