Unhooking in front of killer

I just got a very angry message on PSN from someone who said I was a tunneller / camper lol.

I hooked someone, turned to walk away, and immediately they were unhooked. Naturally, I turned around to down them both.

How is that seen as unfair to people? Is it just an unspoken rule that killers cannot touch survivors at the hook, even if they didn’t wait for the killer to leave? Seems like some BS lmao

People will expect you to be courteous and punish the farmer, but you're playing to win, not to show mercy, so play how you want and don't let others tell you otherwise.

Typically, I will down the one who got off the hook and give them a chance to be picked up by a teammate, while I chase down the farmer to hook them.

However, if I don’t feel like waiting around and I hook them both, I feel like it should be a lesson to be learned from. Instead survivors act like I’M the one in the wrong lol. So dumb sometimes Is2g.

Survivors have an unreasonable expectation that if they get unhooked they can't be touched for whatever arbitrary duration they decide.

    Better to just ignore them.

Many survivors know enough to blame the survivor that rescued them in that situation. Others are just conditioned to blame the killer for everything.

You'll always do something wrong in the eyes of survivors. My PSN inbox is full of salt too - and wild accusations all because they lost a game of Dead by Daylight or it wasn't their ideal match so they get upset things didn't go their way, they'll get over it.

Hookbombers are the worst kind of survivors. Whenever I catch a hookbomber, I fully ignore the unhooked and punish the bomber.
