Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Perk build for a an awful killer player.

I am a survivor main, not brilliant but steady rank 8 player. I am only rank 19 killer and last 3 games had 12 escapes :(

My main issue is scratch marks, I can't follow them for sh!t. So my biggest issue is losing people in chases.

My thoughts on a build to help with lost chases is bloodhound, sloppy butcher, coulraphobia and nurses calling, so if I get a hit in I can follow the blood but if I do lose them, they will take a while to heal and then hope nurses calling can find them. Any good ideas for me, and yes I know.... I need to "get gud" lol

Just at the beginning, you dont really want to rely on bloodhound.
OP, at first scratchmarks might mislead you but you'll get used to them. If you are in coldwin farm among the corn just look down to see the scratchmarks better.

I have found Stridor, Sloppy Butcher and Nurses calling at the best for tracking but you need good headphones!

I often always get a first hit in as am good at sneaking up on survivors but it's that chase man. Obviously my strength is with 3rd person view and not 1st person view.

So you say bbq chili but instead of bloodhound or coulraphobia?

When I first started killer i was struggling a bit also with scratchmarks ^^

So I started using Bloodhound. But games after games, I was seeing that I was only relying on blood marks, and that is not good. You want to develop your vision, and your ears.

If you use bloodhound, don't do it on every games, try to alternate so you gonna feel the difference with / without, you gonna learn a lot more like this, instead of being static and using the same build everytime.

Then, if you're a survivor main, try to think about what your opponents are going to do. If you got map knowledge, you know where are the buildings, loops and pallets... Use this knowledge as a strenght and guess where they are going to catch them.

An other alternative is : play Freddy.

Yes. Lot of people saying he is bad, but trust me, you can still do things with that guy ;)

Especially that he is a tracking god, once you've got someone in dreamworld, you can't miss it.

    Hope that helps !

I've been having a lot of trouble tracking recently. People have been saying scratch marks are harder to follow with the engine update, and it seems like that's kinda the case. But it could be me with my inability to focus and read the scratch marks properly. It just takes practice really

The scratch marks and sounds are broken right now so it's harfmder than it should be.

I'd avoid Stridor right now as it doesn't seem very good. Was a lot better befofe the audio got wrecked though.

Bloodhound is probably a good one along with sloppy butcher to increase the bleeding and slow them down.

Also NOED. Can be a game changer. Go for Ruin too to slow the game down a little bit.

You will get better, just need to practice, don't worry ;)
Also have you tried Predator perk? It makes the scratch marks much more clear.

I had the same issue of following scratch marks when I started as killer. I used the combo of sloppy butcher and bloodhound. With those perks once you hit a survivor its near impossible to lose them.

Just follow the red brick road. Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow the red brick road.

Whatever build you pick, make sure Hex: Ruin is in it. It's a must if you want to have an easier time as a killer!

Just level up The Hag the unlock the perk as a teachable for the killers you want to use it for.

Scratchmarks are bugged now, don't worry, you can't follow them not because you are a bad player.
