For the record I’ll probably still be here on the forums but I’m done playing this game for the time being.
I’ve put well over 2000 hours into dbd and have been playing since it was added to gamepass but I just can’t support a dev team that have made so many bad gameplay and moral decisions anymore
The last few chapters have been a mess. All kill was a total design and artistic failure imo.Twins while cool were a mostly failed design and came completely bug ridden and resident evil came with the most boring licensed killer, 2 meh survivor and a map so bad it’s been disabled more than enabled. I’m just not excited for new content anymore which is terrible for a live service game
Sure this newest patch sounds good and I like the changes but in the QnA they essentially said this was a one time big update and we’ll probably be back to mediocre next time.
Plus this NFT business is plain immoral and I’m glad I never bought pinhead to begin with. The fact that they are actively supporting this is sickening
With VHS coming out soon I can’t wait to have another option. I’ve actually got so desperate I’m back to Friday the 13th and am genuinely having more fun there than in dbd
Sorry if this comes off as a rant or vent but I just needed to talk about this. No point playing a game I don’t enjoy anymore

Just for the record, as far as I can tell the dev team isn’t at fault with the NFT stuff here. Actually I think i saw on Twitter that some just got informed about it with that tweet just like us.

Oo What? I guess you have no idea what happens just go with the rageflow.
As they even told, they have to give out keys for the license owner every time. And they have nothing to do what the owners do with them. There is no feature what do anything with NFTs...

They came out on Twitter and promoted/endorsed them.
They admit they were involved and partners with them in order to make it possible.

Art theft is a problem with NFTs and developers are no different from this. The problem is that you do not need any special data or other application in order to turn something into an NFT. As such is is quit possible that the developers where not involved in this and maybe did not even know about this. They just created the models, music, voicelines and so on and then added them to the game. Some time later the company took the files and handed them to the NFT creators without even asking the devs. This could have well gone over their head with no consens to this part of the project.
I do not know about canadian law about this but in the US most devs have no rights to their created content. In europe it is the opposide as a dev has a inrevocable right to their product and can only have a license agreement about unlimited usage of a creative work of art. Maybe some canadian can clear this...

I write it slowly so you can understand - BHVR give them the model (clearly not for free, and probably they had a contract about it), and cdkeys. To the company. They can use it for promotion - and they do it, promote their blockchain #########.
You hang to a phrase so you can rage about it like hell or wth? But again - there is no feature at all what do anything with NFTs. Nothing. Literally.

Part when captain choses to go North everyone on board should know they go North. Without it u won't trust your captain and question his decisions. That's why suddenly rats start to run from ship.
It doesn't happen when everyone on boat agrees with goals and main course.

Sorry to hear this. This is being said a lot lately but does not seem to matter. The game has grown quite stale of late and a few add-on changes won't help that. Also there's a Halloween event coming this week but can't shake the feeling it will just be a Halloween lobby, couple of halloween items, and special hooks that grant 1000 BP instead of 500. I used to be so excited for events but MEH.
I turned my game off yesterday to play Gems of War.........Yes I said that "Turned DBD off to play Gems of War".

This is a reaaaaaly realy bad example. On a ship in the old days the people down below didn't had to know where they even are, not to mention which direction they go. It is rare that they vote on a ship. The captain make a decision, and the others do it. Or they go to mutiny, or leave the ship on the next port.
And this is the same there. Those, who can say what they want probably knew about it. The devs, who do not make decisions about these things didn't know. This is how a comapny works.

Not talking about the heat thing happens lately. For the gameplay design DBD has too many flaws that keeping the choice for players to play in a very unfun way for both side. Which gave me stopped playing, times to times, though I went back really soon.
But as an artist, the characters design in this game is so great that I grew bond with and made massive fan arts. I just cant image one day I may have to quit this game.

Yeah I’ve grown attached to a lot of things in this game but I know that I’m better off somewhere else atm anyway
