Are killers not playing the new update?
Lobby times are taling super long since i started playing, when i played yesterday i was getting games instantly and now all of sudden where back to real slow queue times. There is also glitches in the game now i got my friend off the hook and for some reason he was still hooked? and then he fell to floor and got back up like idk whats going on with this update but they need a hotfix asap,

There are currently bugs with survivor boon totems causing games to crash, there are a ton of survivors exploiting server instability and bugs, and a lot of popular killers were nerfed.
I imagine a lot of killers are not playing until #########'s fixed.

Only 3 were nerfed. Wraith, Spirit and Slinger. The rest were all buffs

Anytime there's a new update the game tends to crash. Most players know not to play the day of it's launch.

I mean, I would enjoy playing killer today if it weren't for all the crashes that keep forcing me to revalidate my files.
Getting tired of it, honestly.
If only there was some kind of device, a switch perhaps, that let some otherworldly entity temporarily disable the culprits behind the crashes. Oh my, I can dream anyway.

Figure most killers that run hex as a counter balance are gonna wait until the rush of boon players starts to subside.

Killers wont play when the game is in a bad state before the the patch and then nerf killers while giving an op boon perk to survivors. Also they dont even do anything about the hacker pandemic and instead ban ppl of the foums for providing proof like #########?

Yeah same issues here with the hook then rehooked, as well as getting stuck after attempting a pallet throw and after being unhooked.
There's a lot of issues making it literally unplayable rn.
However, this just seemed to happen for survivor. Didn't notice killer bugs, but like ppl said a lot of killer changes happened so it's possible people are backing off.

When Pinhead came out, killer queues were longer and survivor queues were shorter for me. I assumed that was because there was a new killer but no new survivor. This time there's a new survivor but no new killer, and now my survivor queues are long while killer is instant.

Mainly due to the increased amount of survivors wanting to try out the new character and get their adepts. It'll even back out tomorrow.

I'm not touching killer. No sane person should touch killer right now. Better wait for hotfix/next patch when killer is not so frustrating to play

This isn't a fun patch for killer. Lots of nerfs, survivors getting serious buffs, MMR seems busted, crashes, lots of sweaty SWF's playing the new update, etc.

Add-ons are not killer nerfs. You don't have to play any killer with add-ons. They are optional.

I consider the Pig add on changes an overall nerf as well. Her strongest add ons were definitely nerfed, and the ones they reworked or buffed are mediocre at best.

Ya this is true, but her 2 best add on got nerfed. box and tampered timer. And without add on shes very bad unlike many killer that are still ok without add on

Obviously, I play a lot of Pig and I will tell you right now it was needed. With those 2 add-ons I was averaging 1-2 trap kills every single match. Those traps are mainly for stalling, they can kill, but that's not the optimal strategy. It was 100% needed for them to be nerfed.

95% of players are playing with addons. Her kill rate should drop after this patch so this is a nerf

The main thing I have against the new patch is I just don't want to go against Boon Totems. They crash the game, and they are really damn strong. If I want to have any piece of fun while I play I have to somewhat good, and it doesn't feel good when survivors can undo their mistakes for free.
I am also just waiting for the blighted Nemesis skin :)

Do you think it is still possible to get 1 head with the nerf ? Without tunneling ? I dont think so anymore.. But wtv, ya i agree that it was sometimes strong. But it was fun, for both side. I like being traped against pig too. Just so disapointed that she got a really bad iri add on

- New Survivor and Survivor perks = More players switching to Survivor side to try it out (Happens when a new Killer comes in too)

The game has been crashing for a ton of people today so that's probably the main reason why. Same thing happened when pinhead first came out, crashing all day.

You didn't get the memo? This was the last patch for most killers. Boon totems on PTB was more than enough abuse regardless of whatever minor buffs came to pig and plague. SBMM still in shambles, balance still ass, and the NFT debacle. This patch just deleted killer hexes.
You'd have to pay me to play this bullshit right now.

I mean there's the crash bug, the fact that there is a new survivor, the fact that there is a new type of perk that seems strong, MMR is a thing, Spirit and Wraith got nerfed so that reduces the amount of people who play those killers and some people might drop killer completely cause of it.There is a lot that kinda makes killers not want to play, well. killer.

I played about 7 killer games today and I gotta say boon totems really suck playing against. But the crashing definitely has a part. The mixture of crashing and boons is making me wanna quit playing killer rn too

I think the game has some bugs at the moment but honest i cant blame killers from stepping down. Those boons are ridiculous and every slower killer is going to struggle.
I saw so much tunneling/facecamping and proxycamping yesterday it became hilarous and honest i dont blame anyone!

I got that bug where the lobby wouldn't load in twice, so I just gave up to play something else for the night. Tome is tomorrow anyways... So hopefully it is better by then so I can kick it.

Mikaela has become the new "key", as in whenever I see her now I shall aim to remove her as quickly as possible from the game.

The Nerf was they cover 4 meters less and take longer to create when blessing a Hex totem. The actual effects the boons give are still strong and why I think they are strong. CoH is still a near permanent We're gonna make it and Shadow Step counters nearly all aura perks, abilities and addons, so the 2 of them together is incredibly strong, especially if it is on a small indoor map or shack.

I am definitely going to stop playing killer during peak evening times. It was already super stressful with the new SBMM going against nothing but sweaty SWF and pro loopers with 2,000+ hours in the game. I guess I won’t be playing survivor during peaks times either because queue times will be even worse now that playing killer has become so unfun.

With a survivor release, anticipate more survivors playing, so the queues are longer. Same when a new killer is released, for killers.

Only one of those needed a full on "nerf". Wraith was never OP, and they just...castrated Slinger. Their solution to making slinger more "fair" was to make sure there's a limit to how good the player can actually be with him.

Well they nerfed one of my favourites, Wraith, for absolutely zero reason and implemented new survivor perks that make playing killer even more stressful, miserable, and unrewarding.

Why should killer play the game right now. The dev nerf bad killer because survivor dont like to go against them. After they introduce a new set of perk that can compete with the best survivor perk and deny the playstyle of many killer and counter many killer perk. I cant see any reason to play killer right exept making 5k bp more then survivor
