Death of m1 juggling

M1 juggling survivors is dead. It often times proved fruitless against teams that healed each other, the lone selfcare offered a few moments of control, but boon healing has dealt the death blow.

Killers, you will receive no complaints from me when you tunnel and Camp me out. I understand the time investment versus the payoff just isn't there for you anymore. You can't be expected to hit someone and Breakaway anymore as it might as well be assumed the damage was never done.

To any fellow survivors that want to downplay the strength of this; forshame cuz I know you just want to keep this untouched for as long as possible. But don't claim me killer bias because I recognize the strength of this and I will be using it.

We'll have to see if survivors start using these perks. Don't get me wrong, they are as broken as you are describing, and if survivors do start using Boon perks and the new Built to Last, any killer that needs to juggle injure states is gonna suffer massively.

However, it is hard to compete against perks that literally nullify your mistakes like DH, SB, DS and UB, etc.

It might be like what happened to Lucky Break. That perk is busted and the design philosophy behind it is poisonous (basically gives you a massive boon for literally getting outplayed and injured), but it isn't an issue because nobody uses it. DH can undo your mistake far better than LB.

    I guess we shall see.

I think one of the key features this perk offers over the others is that it really only takes one user to provide a very consistent benefit the entire team can use.

I just play solo but the perks pretty much calls out to others. Once they know there's a fallback zone the killer is almost forced to leave gens for the down.

That is true. Maybe that will be enough to get survivors to start using at least boon totems as part of their regular builds.

If that happens I do, sincerely, foresee killers that need that kind of juggling suffering massively.

This is why I'm very sorely tempted to get Plague even though I hate how she basically makes healing and stealth impossible. If Circle of Healing does see use... she'll probably be the only damage spread killer who still functions because she also spreads Broken.

I hate Plague because she basically makes several pieces of core Survivor gameplay impossible. Healing? Nah, permanent broken. Stealth? Vomiting says no. Any kind of save? She'll probably know you're there before hand because of the vomit.

No thanks. I'd rather not be a jerk to the Survivors that way. Partially that viewpoint comes from maining Claudette and relying on healing and stealth when first starting out... hated playing against Plague back then so I'm not about to inflict her on others. But with boons... well I got no other obvious options I'd be Ok with.

oh yea I forgot plague makes survivors broken. Don't really like plague but might have to play her if this becomes as meta as dead hard.

but... they spent 14 precious seconds giving the entire team free healing and the ability to bring flashlights or loaded toolboxes instead of a medkit.

That 14 seconds totally balances out the reward (ignore the killer spending time to find it and dropping chase or ignoring a gen to snuff it)

yeah it's been dead a while now tbh. healing is just insane. medkits are crazy. and now with boon totems..

Time to bring some perks to counter these issues.

Nurse Calling to find the self-healing survivors, Sloppy Butcher for more penalty to healing and maybe even Forced Penance to inflict the Broken status effect on those survivors. Maybe even use Bubbas add-on to apply the broken effect to them when you play him.

Wraith will feel this impact very much because his most powerful playstyle was hit and run to juggle survivors off generators. This has gotten much harder with this patch and I think many Wraiths will try to run their add-on that added the Sloppy Butcher effect to their ambush attacks.

Self-healing is very powerful no doubt about this. I want to get that Boon perk as soon as possible to just to try it. And there is nothing wrong with admiting that survivor got a huge buff in this chapter.

As a killer i hate plague because the vomit hit detection is still inconsistent as hell.

Killers complaining about survivors (again) on a killer dominated forum, for a perk that hasn't even had time to be fully flushed out.

    Waaa poor killers post. Next.

you can fit circle or step into your build pretty easily, ds deliverance sprint burst circle/step is quite powerful and you can force an optimal map for circle of healing (biggest ones) or shadow step (more compact + godawful loops/corners like farms/rpd) via offerings

circle/shadow combo massively > nurse's calling/sloppy butcher, forced penance is a meme and broken addons are pretty specific and niche, not sure if they'd be particularly effective since it just redirects them back to gens instead of resetting

Those were just some quick ideas especialy Forced Penance. Maybe Coulrophobia would be another perk to consider however Thrill of the Hunt should beat them all in terms of time efficency. Also Thrill has some other uses than just delaying Boon placement.

The problem comes down to Killer time being more valuable than survivor time. Same for Killer perks. The ratio is pretty much 1:4 and as such it is just a bad decision to take 1 perk as a Killer just to counter 1 survivor perk as Boon perks only need to be used by a single survivor to affect all of them.

At least something like "Mindbreaker" is countering 4 perks on the survivor side because almost every survivor uses an exhaustion perk. Sloppy also affects every survivor as healing is a basic ability.

Damn these Boon things are hard to deal with on paper...

thrill got its notification removed and only really majorly increases the time of turning a hex blue (which is a one time thing if they successfully get it off), it won't see much use now

coulro is a 50% heal speed penalty that already didn't fare well vs stuff like we'll make it/we're gonna live forever, how's that supposed to contend with area we'll make it that stacks with we'll make it

sloppy would be fairly good at its job if mangled also reduced medkit charge efficiency (because you just turn 16 sec self-heal with medkit to 20 with sloppy, might as well use franklin's) but it doesn't, and circle of healing exists that cannot at all deal with 16 sec self-heal (20 sec) or 8 sec medkit self-heal (10 sec)

Ok? It was already dead if someone had a medkit. You have to commit to chase if you want to down them. Still COH is worse than medkits.

  • Seraphor

I agree with all of this. But Plague in now the only reliable way to counter boon totems. They're simply way too strong being infinite.

So if constate Plagues become a problem... blame the boons.

Well outside of BW plays, loading into a lobby with Plague against 4 Med-kits is the best "Ha ######### you" moments in the game. Way to make me feel bad bruh.

rather than broken it could be made so that you caaaaan heal despite the plaaaaaaag dude but it will just start a (faster) timer to injure you again + you still have the typical effects of being max plague like infecting everything and making a scene

something like that would need to come with compensation of course like not autohealing survivors that cleanse (which would also make healing have some relevance vs plague again) but as far as not ganking entire mechanics in a match, there's options

COH is better compare to medkit. Its 1 perk slot on 1 survivor for everyone to have a free medkit

  • dednark
    dednark Member Posts: 93

Disagree. Medkit is faster and available at any time and place.

  • Labrac

It has always been dead. It only works against solo survivors who don't run medkits.

  • botrax
    botrax Member Posts: 633

Medkit only available for you need to always spend bp to make sure you have a medkit in inventory vs CoH unlimited amount of use everyone in the team can get acces to old self care if someone heal you its like getting heal by we'll make it can stack with a medkit so its easier to heal in a chase all that for an investment of 16 sec.

This is a matter of perspective i see CoH as a op perk because the emtire team can use it you see it as a downgrade because you play for yourself
