We Deserve Better...
As a community, as consumers, as gamers, we just deserve so much better than the slop game devs (in general) keep tossing our way. We as a gaming community are so stuck in this toxic loop of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥/Complaining about Lack of content, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ updates, game breaking patches and unfair balances no one asked for, only to accept what we are given by the Devs in response and await for the next (surely incoming) dumpster fire.
We deserve better! But the only way we are going to get better products, patches, and responses is by using the only language game devs and corporations understand.
MONEY!
Time to close your wallets! Dont just complain on twitter and steam forums! Dont just uninstall the game for a week, only to return and start the cycle again! Just close our wallets, stop their cash flow and starve them the hell out, until they are forced to either fold or get their ♥♥♥♥ together!!
This game has been out for over 4 years, yet here we stand in 2021 with a company that has yet to perfect the craft of releasing a patch/update without breaking the game so bad (yet again) that their community cant even access a product they paid for!!
(I'm not saying this should never happen, im just saying this has happened way too often for a company that should know better!!!

Should've closed your wallets months ago tbh. They've got so much liquid built up this year, it's going to take a wallet famine across the board to have an impact.
But yes, you're right.

Can you not tell people what to buy? Let people have fun

He's not telling you what to buy, he gives you advice.
If you want to keep buying stuff then just do it, no one is keeping your wallet closed but yourself.
The point he is trying to make is if you want bhvr to listen to the community, then the community has to shut down their income.
Every company is affected by income and so is bhvr.
Meaning no one is buying cosmetics or dlc is no income for bhvr, and thus they have to start and take a look at why that is happening.
But again if you want to keep buying stuff than by all means just do that, nobody is forcing you not to 😉

I'm gonna buy because nothing happened so

Well then you're blind as ######### aren't you.

Yeah well,BHVR is not the first and not the last community, that will always put money first over everything else.

And that is your full right to do say, nobody is judging you.
If you want to keep buying then do, if you don't want to then don't 😉

We are well past the point where BHVR would be a sort of "crowd-funded" enterprise that it would be justified to buy whatever they sell as it being a way to support a start-up to succeed financially.
So now the player market determines whether what BHVR sells are worthwhile to them. If its not good for you, dont buy it.
And if you dont like how the company is operating, think about whether your $$$ are better spent on companies operation that you do like.
PS: I worry abit about a certain type of consumer that out of a kind of "completionism", "OCD" and to compensate perhaps for other areas of their life, feel compelled to buy everything whether they have use for it or not, but those occur across the board in many markets and is an issue with its own peculiar characteristics.
I was somewhat amused to watch a certain extremely prominent streamer of DBD the other night flat out say that they will use shards, not cash, to "buy" newer content in this situation (which they have also received from BHVR and earned masses of ingame), but thats understandble as they also run their stream as a profit enterprise, so its incumbent on them to have new content to show in their output.

For example:
Im a HUGE "Hellraiser" fan. I own most of the movies (canon or not) in hard copies and some of the comics, but have seen/read all of them.
For 10yrs in the 2000s (Im born '81) I walked daily past a video rental store in Helsinki that had a nigh lifesize Pinhead model in the shop window, and when it went bust (cos VHS/DVD ended) I still regret to this day that I didnt have the foresight nor cash to buy it.
Thus, related to DBD.
I bought Pinhead DLC (a sort of catharsis to the above), but instead of playing Pinhead since its launch (maybe 10 Trials :P ), Ive just been grinding BPs via other Killer/Survivor/Challenges etc into a Prestige 3 Bloody model which I finally completed (poignantly to this topic) yesterday. Now I gotta BP to perk him.
BUT. What about the Chatterer model and this notion of potential other Hellraiser models (and or content) as NFT related?
The Chatterer model I have not bought, not because I cant afford it, or wouldnt love to have it, but cos the price is too high. And I wont buy it because of that.
There is a "rational" price threshold that even a devout fan such as myself has to consider.
I was willing to buy Pinhead DLC and grind in DBD for BPs to Prestige 3 for the model skins (thus providing matches to the pool, either as Killer or Survivor), and which I will continue to grind to perk him and to play it, but even I wont pay the current cash price for Chatterer skin, and if NFT is involved in future Hellraiser content, that makes the rational quotient of my choice to purchase even less likely.
PS: There is a post of mine some years ago on these boards, where I specifically suggested Pinhead to be included into DBDs lineup.
