What are you doing or have done to make your voice heard since the nft news?
If you are insulted because of bhvrs stance it is as simple as not spending real money and using shards or getting gamepass. Gamepass gives you plenty of value for its price.
I have friends who still play and that is their stance as well. A couple have uninstalled and that is their perogative.
Your spending will be the biggest factor in making a change.

I've stopped purchasing even basic things like the rift pass. My last purchase was the RE chapter. As a PS4 player the game has had serious frame rate drop issues since then. I asked for a refund after a couple weeks without a fix but was denied. So no more spending for me until this is fixed on PS4

pick fights about it elsewhere for the lulz.
that just tells them they can take their time and youll come back

Is it really that bad on ps4? I have it on xbox series x and it does run smoother.

I have no stance on the matter. NTF's aren't good but at the same time there should be a wait to get the official official story of what truly happened and what exactly behavior did and didn't do. Regardless however for now I'll just enjoy the game, spend or not spend money as I please and not be hampered by a self imposed moral obligation. Enjoy the game as you please and only stop playing if it is your belief, don't stop because others are pressuring you too.

to be fair there was some improvements at the mid chapter update. But killers are hit or miss still. Frame rates will drop when survivors dead hard and unhook, gens pop, not to mention some killer powers cause it on activation. idk about you but i've noticed the hit rollback at pallets always go against me no matter which side lol my PS4 is hard wired in my router so i know it isn't my ping. must just be the hardware.

I don't know why people are so mad about the NFT, just don't buy it. I don't understand the issue.
3 -
I spoke about it here in the Forums, but that was about it.
I don't play DBD anymore, so I am not supporting BHVR in any possible way. But that is all I can do.
6 -
I wont be giving any money to BHVR again, unless they completely retract their stance on NFTs. I've also deleted the game too, and unless they clear the air about NFTs and ALSO resolve the issues plaguing the game this update, I will neither download it back.
8 -
The 10 000 Hellraiser NFT transactions cause enormous CO2 emissions. It would require 8.5 million trees to be planted to negate them.
That's why people are so mad. It doesn't matter if people who care don't buy it. This world has enough selfish ######### who will buy this ######### and the rest of the world pays the price for 10 000 people's stupidity.
During my lifetime, I want to try to make the world so that future babies and animals have a habitable planet earth.
I hope you understand the issue now, unless you are one of those less intelligent people who believe there's no such thing as global warming.
12 -
I uninstalled the game. NFTs? More like No [Bad Word] Thanks.
4 -
Not playing and certainly not paying BHVR. Playing some backlog console games I have, spending more time with my dogs and watching bunches of Horror movies, just ordered the Phantasm 5 movie Box Set off ebay too. Pretty much any and everything is better than supporting BHVR at this time and the foreseeable future.
2 -
the best part is, those 10000 hell raiser NFTs will consume enough energy to power a house for 83 years. And that's just the power needed to make the NFTs, it doesn't include the transactional energy. If every one of those NFTs is sold, then the energy consumption will be able to power your house for an additional 114 years.

The community would need an across-the-board wallet famine for this to work, and that famine has to last for at least six months, if not, a full year, for any of this to have an effect.
Bhvr will quickly bait the community with licensed chapters and auric only cosmetics that aren't Nea exclusives.
I don't think the people can resist licensed bait.

Stopped financially supporting them via buying DLC, packs, rift, etc.
I was going to still play on occasion, but I kind of don't want to anymore surprisingly, even with the new patch.
I might later, but for now I guess I can add that to the list.
5 -
Well, I certainly didn't buy their newest chapter DLC and have zero intentions of ever buying auric cells or any dlcs in the future. Also haven't played since September but I was planning to come back soon but my hiatus will likely be indefinite unless bhvr completely changes course as well as there continues to be no other successful game in the asymmetrical genre
4 -
I'm boycotting, wallet-wise, and going to streamer communities to request they and their groups do the same.

Even if the loud voices of our dissatisfaction on here and other online spaces are a blip compared to the majority that don't come online to talk DBD, there's enough news and spread to do some damage. Besides,

I did nothing

same. Also looking into signing up for the VHS beta, give a bit of lowspec feedback
4 -
Is that how we right wrongs? By causing damage? Maybe I fail to understand the full frustration being felt, but I wouldn't call for a need to damage a company.
If the efforts here are a blip, then it wouldn't amount to damage anyways.
What's important is that BHVR has lessons to learn. We all do. Consumers cannot force a company to learn, only the company can choose to learn the lesson if they so choose. The best we can do is not to damage, but to teach this company to be more responsible by following through with an actual effort not to put any money into the company or it's IP's.
Due to how trendy this game has become, I'd find it challenging for this community to follow through with such a tremendous effort. It would require individual self control and willingness that I don't know the group really has as a whole. We are all human and we will have our moments of weakness.
If the consumers did stay strong, and they did follow through, the company would be faced with only a few options; learn their lesson, drop the product and work on new projects altogether, or not change anything at all and deteriorate
Even if this community could follow through, even if self control was properly demonstrated, could you handle watching bhvr or dbd deteriorate? It's not a pretty sight to watch something pass away, but that is exactly what all would need to be prepared for in order to teach such a company anything at all.

I'm refusing to buy Mikaela and the Rift until they fully apologize for all the wrong they did. They better start offering refunds too.
3 -
Laughed at the hysteria.
Some of the youtube videos by the DBD darlings have been priceless.
3 -
how does it drain so much energy to make? genuinely curious
And for the record I'm not a climate change denier so I don't feel it's necessary to close with a backhanded remark like that.
3 -
Yeah....it's a game company..a corporate entity. It isn't a person, so spare me the philosophical talk about damaging a company that makes bank off their products and got greedy to support a Pyramid Scheme that actively harms the planet we are living on way more than most other activities a person can do in a lifetime.
The game industry is rife with this bullshit and have been allowed to continue because of nihilistic fence sitters such as yourself thinking nothing can be changed, which use adds numbers and silent voices to those that SUPPORT these ongoing actions. So yeah...it's worth giving them feedback to how ######### ######### it is for their company to be doing this.
8 -
Bro you're confusing me for someone else. I was banned here for advocating that the company has its labor forces severely reduced. Don't you dare call me a fence sitter, ever. As a big time jerkface, I recognize where the boundaries are drawn and understand a fair bit about this company and it's business practices.
That being said, I'll probably be banned again for bringing all that up. See you in six months!

Also no, I'm not a climate change denier and I don't feel it's necessary to close with a backhanded remark like that.

Cryptocurrencies are mined with very powerful and energy consuming computer "farms". Firstly, energy and raw materials are wasted on the computer parts used to mine the crypto. Then all the electricity which the computer farm consumes causes certain amount of emissions depending on the energy source it's produced from. Lastly, every transaction that takes place, the blockchain verifies it through all the past transactions all the way back to the origin, which is increasing the consumption and emissions through the roof. That's what I've read multiple years ago, and I don't probably remember every little detail but that's a simple version of it pretty much.
All this for a futile, scam currency. Only practical solution for NFTs I've heard would for it to be used to certify stocks and even then that same can be done with a legally binding piece of paper.
I hoped that you aren't a denier and thank you for being a reasonable human being who actually wants to understand stuff. I've just been reading so much ignorant sh*t from people in the last couple of days that it's making me lose hope for the humankind. I apologize for my rough words.

Quit and made a Discord Server along with @TheGannMan for others who are dissatisfied with the game.
Nice.
1 -
I have quit the game cold turkey and spending the free time talking to my friends more and playing other multiplayer games to fill that spot currently it's with back 4 blood(plz valve make games again back 4 blood is fun but it's no left 4 dead 3)

How exactly is it you think we can "cause damage"? The only way TO cause damage (and make them pay attention) is by hitting their wallet.
3 -
I suggest abandoning the mindset of causing damage and instead figuring out how to teach. It's a bunch of philosophical nonsense I described in that long winded novel I wrote earlier.
0 -
Yep and that's what I'm doing not touching the game not buying anything but still looking at fan made stuff as this community can make some great stuff
1 -
When it comes to companies (and, indeed, anything capitalistic in our society), the only way to teach or damage is through the wallet.
Unless there are other options I'm not aware of?
Money talks and bullsheet walks baby.

ayo can I join? I like GannMan 🥺🥺🥺

Ooh I'm stealing that
That is such a good phrase lol

Of course! There's a link to it in my most recent thread.

Pretty crazy amounts. Could you write down how you got these numbers?
My calculation:
1 transaction ... 167 kWh
10000 transactions ... 1670 MWh
1 MWh ... 950 kg of CO2 (coal plant)
1670 MWh ... 1586500 kg of CO2
1 tree absorbs ... 14kg of CO2 per year
It takes 113321 trees to cover all this CO2 in a year.
Average household in US uses 10MWh electricity in a year. So the energy needed for 10000 transactions could cover 167 households electricity for a year.
Pretty crazy.

To be honest I haven't done anything. Based off of what everyone is saying I tried to leave a negative review for the Hellraiser DLC on Steam but I realized I bought it via in-game auric cells, so can't. (It was a few pennies cheaper with auric cells!). And I've had a negative review of DBD since 2018*... so yea.
And I know this is quite to the contrary to what many people here are doing but I'm not going to be quitting DBD either. I'll still be playing.

About the same as 2 Boeing 737-400 airplanes flying nonstop for a year.

You are correct that a consumer's number one tool is money. Your use of the word damage is the issue I have here. If you want to damage the company with money, you can do that. If you want to change the company's value with your money, you can do that instead.
It's how you're using this idea that's going to result in any kind of effect. To teach or to damage, while you can certainly do both, I recommend avoiding any intent to damage.
Damage can be a permanent solution to a temporary problem whereas teaching can be a means of investment for the change you want to see in a solution.
Do you want to cause damage and risk no change or value gained from it at all?
0 -
I'm sorry, but there is a world of information out there, and there are literally thousands of resources on how to be a more sustainable company. BHVR has 850 employees. I guarantee you more than one employee knows how bad these are for the environment.
This idea that we have to "teach" a company is bullshhhh. These people make millions of dollars a year, but I'm supposed to be nice to them? Seriously?
You act like "oh we just have to show them a better way". They know the better way. They chose not to take it - and I can't believe anyone, in 2021 would think a company wouldn't know better, or would pander to them as if THEY'RE the ones hurt by this.
You say avoid intent to damage - where the fu is THEIR intent to not damage? Where is THEIR intent to be a force for good in the world?
4 -
I didn't say you have to be nice to them. Keep in mind, I've been banned several times on this forum for advocating a severe reduction in their labor forces.
Ultimately, doing wrong because they are doing wrong is also wrong. We all know how dishonest and damaging they are. Are you going to lower yourself to what we expect from them?
Is that an excuse for you to behave like them? An eye for an eye, I suppose.
1 -
It's more of not supporting bhvrs stance on nfts. Dont spend money and make a change is how i see it.
3 -
My question is, why not be as bad as them? You're saying don't sink to their level, but I have literally NO reason not to. I mean that literally. Companies are not moral, so I do not feel i have to be moral back. If I hadn't seen this stuff for the last 40 years of my life, I might feel differently, but I've yet to see a company do good for goods sake.
And if you can't beat 'em, might as well join 'em and learn their game. (no pun intended)
I only consider morals relative to an individual, not to a company that's beholden to profit. I hear and understand that you disagree, and I completely see and understand your point. But the fact that you've been banned for talking about their labor force shows they do not learn. How am I supposed to "rise above" that?
I know this is more of a philosophical discussion at this point. But I'm sorry, I can't bring myself to feel bad for ANY company that only cares about your dollars, no matter how moral or immoral being that way is.
I expect a ban, so I'm sure I'll be right there with you LOL

TricksterShadow calculated it and shared it on Twitter. So not official source by any means. Probably a different source or a calculation error.
Still, your numbers are huge too.

Am a God fearing person. I don't want to be like them; they are dishonest and deceitful and cause damage. As an american with a fading sense of patriotism, I find the company's endeavors to be in line with the modern wave of socialism thats choking out freedom and individuality. Extreme censorship and selective/exclusive public relations coupled with an ill-refuted sense of worldly unity is toxic to human freedom and it's easy to see that around everywhere these days, bhvr is not the sole purveyor of such illicit debauchery.
Yes, cellmate, we will likely be silenced by the Selective Speech Squad for these comments. At no time tho were you nor I derogatory were we? At no time were you nor I dishonest, were we? Perhaps either of us can be mistaken, but certainly not found in the error of their ways.
I wouldn't ask you to feel bad for them, tho, but I'd ask you to consider if you'd feel bad for yourself if you ever regretted becoming like them.
Forgiveness is divine. What I'd call upon you is to remind me that damage can be a permanent solution for a temporary problem. But, perhaps, I am mistaken; perhaps what we have here is a permanent problem. A permanent problem can only require a permanent solution. And we can deploy a permanent solution without becoming like them. Am I mistaken? Is this a permanent problem on our hands? I might fail to understand the gravity of the situation.
There's a difference between ending the problem and letting it drag out. War is in my blood, sir. Generations and generations deep.
0 -
Nothing, I deeply don't care.
0 -
Sorry, you lost me at the company being in line with socialism which is probably the worst thing you could have said. Have a good day.
1 -
Well there's the issue, you're coming at this as an American but Behaviour is Canadian!
Also it's just a game man there's no need to channel the necromantic energies of Samuel Adams and Patrick Henry.
1 -
That is such a waste of power for something so useless.
