Is there a cap to gen speed?

Say for instance 4 people were on the same gen with the best toolbox, best add ons, all the speed perks, and all his great skillchecks. Does it ever reach a point where you can no longer boost it. I have wondered if this was the case before and wasn't sure if its worth to aid on gens in rare situations like that.

It seems like they would be able to finish a gen from start to finish in seconds.

    If a BNP was once able to finish it with a solo survivor in <10 seconds then probably not.

    I don't think there is a hard cap on generator repair speeds, although there is an effective cap if you combined all the possible repair speed upgrades. It's part of the reason why there's not many perks that affect repair speed.

    Doesn't need to be. i can give you tons of vids of games where all gens are done in 3 mins with very little the killer can do. And these aren't just my vids.

    I'm talking about it happening to Truetalent, Space Coconut, and other notables in the community.

    A hard cap on gen repair speed actually might be a good thing. But I'de prefer making "new parts" part of the game. And survivors have to go find parts for the gens around the map, then install them to a series of skillchecks. Fail a skillcheck, and the repair will take longer.

    The amount of parts needed per gen would need to be played with to find the desired game length. But yeah. Something does need to be done. It's simply not fun to run into a group of red rank survivors with nothing to lose, who just want to depip the killer by gen rushing the gens in 3 mins.

    They don't get anyhting from it other then IRL giggles. No real BP, they black pip, ect. but it still; happens. A lot.
