why is halloween event so lackluster

i get it, thanks for 666k bp, but you could've been more creative with the actual event, not just add more skins and give little to none extra bp for special hooks/gens

i've been playing since august, but from what i've seen, this event is exactly the same as from previous years

    I always look forward to getting some special experiences, such as finding some special objects.

    But now it’s still repairing the generator, again, again, again.

    They put pumpkins in the trial for you to smash, but unless you know they're there you aren't really looking for them and can easily miss them. Although I agree, if they were really going to scrap all other events to make 2 more special and amazing, they should actually make said 2 events more special and amazing. Not just repeat the same mistakes from the prior year.

    I mean, there's an entire Halloween tome that you can earn two free outfits ($20 value) from, so I'm pretty pleased with the event (even though I don't play Doctor or Mikaela). Very generous for sure

    That one Blight Event: Multiple instances of progress during the match represented on an on-screen "tracker" that was always visible.

    This Event: Kick a pumpkin, get a BP notification in the upper-right that disappears, and only see progress once you exit the match.

    Oh right: That one blight Event with the Serum's: You had agency on what parts of an outfit you unlocked first. You also had to choose what you wanted with the event currency as you couldn't get everything.

    This Event: Follow the rails. (But the challenges are nice, but could have had them award event currency to be used in an event shop)

    Truth be told, its very underwhelming. Like the year before that...and the year before that...

    For some reason the earlier years they actually cared enough to put effort. Siphoning the Pustula flowers out was super cool and it gave free cosmetics, now its just: Pumpkin...okay?

    If anything, this event is less than past events. In all my years and playing this is the most boring event I've seen in any game. For Honor actually has a better DBD event than DBD itself.

    This (I hope) has to be something to do with the new character, killer rebalances, perk rebalances, new boon totems and scourge hooks.

    Recently they have been actually putting in a lot of effort and I wonder if its a direct result of them getting rid of other events, since clearly they havent spent that time towards the halloween event. Im fine with that, if it wasnt in such a broken state from all the recent changes I am actually proud of how much they have been doing right lately.

    Dont get me wrong, I was hoping they'd have a kick ass halloween event but they really disappointed here and Ive played all of there previous events.

    Id be happy with a reskined halloween item that makes it unique but instead they copy and paste the last again making the previous even less valued to un collectors.
