Kill Switch update: Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

So, how gutted is Wraith post-patch?

Haven't had time to play yet and check, but I recall that the game's most pressing problem was that Wraith(!) is OP(!!). In your answer, assume that the reader runs All Seeing Blood 100% of the time.

No difference, just like spirit, and deathslinger with M&A.

edit: i take back what i said about deathslinger, he's so sluggish now. spirit... well at least it's no longer as cheap as before to use her.

If you knew how to play against him as it is, nothing really changed outside of some hits he can't make anymore.

If you didn't know how to play against him, I doubt anything really changed.

Slightly weaker against good survivors which is a shame.

I read some people say he is exactly the same and that false. If you were a casual wraith and did not know the limit of his lunge after an unclock he is the same. But if you main him and had the muscle memory of the maximum distance you could get for your lunge after an unclock then you will see the nerf is massive because you need to relearn that and relearn the distance you can have with the survivor before you unclock

He lost 0.25 seconds on his post cloak speed boost. It still leaves you with half a second of adjusting into half a second of omegalunge. He's completely fine. Even All-Seeing was barely touched and still does the same thing in loops.

seems like it lost a lot more distance than math says it should've so i'm not sure i'd classify it as an omegalunge anymore

at any rate it lost a lot of its moderate antiloop potential so that's pretty sad

He got bashed down a couple of tiers by the nerf. He only just barely made some lunge hits at loops before the nerf and against decent survivors + boon totems, hit and run does not work.

A lunge lasts 0.3 seconds. You have 1 second of mega speed after uncloaking, so you can megaspeed the entire lunge 3 times over. Not sure what math you're doing.

He feels really bad unless you decloak right on top of them. You can no longer get away with decloaking slightly earlier which obviously hurts a lot of his play around pallets unless you get a bodyblock.

His lunge feels a bit off, similar to how it did in 4.6.0. I might just be imagining things, though.

He's still destroying solos, as are many of the new and recently buffed killers lately (especially Delta Variant Plague and Pinhead).

Hopefully this means they have buffs coming soon to get solos to SWF levels without buffing SWF.

the math where if you lunge at the usual time after the duration nerf you don't get nearly as much distance out of your lunge?

even if you immediately lunge out of cloak (which doesn't work vs a running survivor's speed, always needed to wait a bit) it seems you don't get as much distance as you did before, hence something feels quite off about it

maybe it's the change they did to wraith's lunge in the first place that wasn't working properly, but if so i'd like to have bug lunge back even if he is going to only have the 1s speedup duration

    Not as slinger and spirit.

Altough those changes can really affect the outcome of the game because getting a crucial down out of the uncloak or not means a lot sometimes.

Spirit is still super strong and still one of the strongest killers in the game. Not sure why people complain about her. She needed some counterplay.

I think they didn't nerf it same way as he was on PTB, his lunge felt way worse on PTB than live, but maybe just my feeling.

I didn't really have issue while I was doing challenges with him.

    as someone recently put it

'survivors knowing where and when the spirit is phasing is the exact opposite of counterplay' (for killers, survivors just dunk pallets on her effortlessly now and are never caught off guard, because for some reason if the killer isn't nurse and they can't be looped for several gens then they don't have counterplay)

Well you can feel that extra 0.25 loss. Sometimes you will not hit Survivor because of that.

But for the most past he is same.
