I Literally Can't Play Killer Anymore
No, not because it isn't fun or it's too stressful.
It definitely ISN'T fun and it IS way too stressful but I'm literally sitting in 20-25 minute queues for every Killer.
My matches are lasting MAYBE 8 minutes. I either get stomped or stomp. My current queue for Spirit has been going for 19 minutes as of now.
To top it off, there's not even a guarantee that I'll be able to play a match. The infinite load bug, crashes and DC's are extremely common. Not to mention the general state of high MMR, but that's been discussed too much anyway.
This is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous that my queue times dwarf my actual match times.

..spirit?
so then you do get into a match and just get clapped by pallets + constantly bamboozled by survivors that know where the speedy blind girl is at all times
brutal
though if want a random anecdote, a friend of mine was winning a 2 party streamer game on haddonfield and went to pick up someone and then crashed

You play with cross-play off, right? That definitely affects it, but that's still ridiculous.

Wait times on my nurse have started to rise even without using gen defence. Tempted to crash my mmr again since all that awaits me is long q times and cheaters.

Sometimes I do. The other 50% of the time the Survivors run in a straight line while I phase.

It'll probably be the same with it on thanks to the hackers infesting the game

lol
well only so much you can do for people like that, there's no outrunning a 5 sec 1.5x sprint burst, even if one has to stand still for a few sec to start
i guess headphones are comparitively pretty rare on console so maybe it's not so bad over there in general, but my god

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if hackers somehow ######### the queues even more.
Then, like you already said, even if you do get a match, there's a chance you won't be able to play because BHVR is a competent company that cares about their game, especially during an event.

I'm on ps4 with cross play on and my killer wait times are very short in the evenings.
I've only encountered 2 hackers in the last year, so I guess I'm lucky.

Yeah, basically.
Crossplay on will increase my hackers and but maybe decrease my waiting times.
Crossplay off decreases hackers but increases wait times.
0 -
Maybe.
I just waited for 22 minutes to get a Spirit game on Haddonfield where my Ruin was cleansed within 30 seconds and where all the gens were done in under 6 minutes.
I just literally can't keep doing this. I'll never be able to lower my MMR in a reasonable amount of time.

I played yesterday and today a few hours and i didn't crash a single time on PC. As killer and survivor.
You play on console? People are reporting a lot of problems there..

Yeah, there's a 119 page thread about all the issues Console has that BHVR hasn't fixed.
Am I bitter? Yes.

If your wait times are short at any time then your mmr is really low. This is why you have not seen any cheaters since their mmr will be high.

Yep exactly why I don't play much killer at the moment. Finding a lobby is no problem, but as soon as we start loading in I can just leave an watch a movie. If I actually load into I most of the time am doing something else already, cause after checking every 2 minutes for 15 minutes I do something else. Had some games that after waiting for 15 minutes just crashed and send me back to the menu.

That's ... probably not the case. Unless you think Otzdarva has low MMR -- just looked at the VOD of his last stream, and his first match took 18 seconds to get a lobby and his second took a whopping 16 seconds. I'm guessing he's not playing at low MMR, so the idea that a short wait time = low MMR doesn't really hold water (if anyone has high MMR, it would be him, no?).
The SBMM system still prioritizes (I believe, at least) putting people into games over "fair" matchmaking -- it's why during the evening hours, when survivors and SWF groups are at their most common, killer queues are almost always instantaneous -- they were prior to the implementation of the system, and they are still that way, due to the imbalance of people playing certain roles.
Crossplay being off definitely is going to skew those times. I'm on console and have crossplay on -- definitely have run into a couple of suspicious things that I thought might have been hackers, but when the game can be so buggy at times, it's honestly hard to tell.

I'm still getting 20 minute queues, for the record.
It's 11:00 PM here

That's a crazy wait. I don't blame you for being frustrated -- I'd be too.

Honestly this game needs a proper bot mode. Not just for training purposes, but one that can help to sustain the life of this game once there are no longer an acceptable amount of players online. Plus it's a great way to counter the long load times.

Most people use headphones now, how else do we scream at each other in game chat?

there's post-game voip and not just xbl voice messages??
a bit out of the loop on console happenings hum

Oh well - a few months ago when survivor queues were bad killers just said it's because all the killers are leaving because killer isn't fun and too hard, now the shoe is on the other foot I guess that just means all the survivors are leaving because it isn't fun or too hard.

You clearly haven't read the post this isn't a "Us vs Them" issue its a console issue.
Ps. The OP has been one of the main people trying to raise awareness of how bad consoles are getting and Killer was just their best example of how bad its gotten for consoles.

Console was never mentioned in the original post. I do apologies for not reading every OPs extensive comment history to try and decipher what their post may actually means.
and I'm more-so pointing out the ridiculousness of blaming "not enough of x" as a reason for long lobby times when I think we all know survivors aren't leaving in droves.

I think it has something to do with high MMR in my region.
I would imagine it's difficult to get to high MMR as Survivor because it's almost entirely reliant on your teammates.
Also, because I don't want to quote you twice, if you haven't figured out what my crusade is, respect.
1 -
it is and that's why for the most part on my higher mmr killers i get swfs and i get swfs that don't own up to being swfs
and those killers aren't that high because i don't play enough because sbmm makes me unhappy with my treatment in-game

If you do not play too many licensed killers, it might be a good idea to smurf. You do not really need perks at low mmr.
0 -
CrossPlay off means long queues but less hackers, you must choose.
Anyway It doesnt make any difference, games without hackers are the same with or without CP.
Join Lobby, Start the pallet breaking simulator, keep breaking more pallets until you have 1 gen left, and enjoy the tbag fest at exit gates. "The Game" has an extra BP for Killers, more pallets than any other map, we should say thanks to BHVR for such amazing gameplay.
MMR Things I guess, we must git gud, as baby survivors genrushing on premade use to say.

I play Nemesis and Pinhead.
And I don't really want to smurf, but yeah, I'm sort of running out of options.
Maybe I'll become the only Console Nurse main.
