What do you think would fix Deathslinger?
Due to the recent changes Deathslinger has his ADS being nerfed and his Movement speed while aiming being buffed. However I personally believe and also quite a few others believe, that Deathslinger is still in a pretty bad spot. So I'm curious as to what you think should be changed to Deathslinger to be more fun.

Revert the ADS and Terror Radius changes.
Remove Deathslinger being able to walk backwards to deny Survivors the ability to unchain themselves with the environment.
The issue with Deathslinger and why he was "uncounterable" was because of moving backwards. Survivors were never given a chance to be able to fight against the chain hence why it felt "unfair". Even though that chain was supposed to be his complete counterplay.

I'm not sure about FULLY reverting his ADS but I do see your point about the walking backwards.

even though I agree with the top moving backwards wasn’t the reason he was annoying he was annoying cause his whole chase was RNG on weather he would aim or not. At least Huntress, Trickster and Demo gave indications that they were aiming. Slinger had none it was a instant ADS. I know that was his strength but against a god slinger that never misses you couldn’t counter him cause by the time you get in between a object he could have shot you already. This was his problem

What if it was .25 sec and gave a sound que?

That would be better but the problem was he had a sound cue but you could never hear it cause Slinger would constantly quick scope.

What if they added .5 sec of not being able to do anything when putting down? Maybe even a full second tbh.

If I were to change Slinger here’s what I would do. First Revert the changes and start from scratch
- Make it so when Slinger ADS and let’s go he can’t attack or aim his gun for 1.5 seconds.
- increase the chain from 18 to 24 meters
- increase his terror radius to 32 meters so if someone uses M&A they can’t abuse the 24 meter chain outside of terror radius.
- Keep his current stun when the chain breaks the same cause they actually buffed slinger by reducing his stun
- Remove the whole walking back mechanic so survivors can actually move the chain to break it. This is what I would do to fix deathslinger

- I'm not sure how to feel about 1.5. I think this should be tested. There is a PTB so it is possible to test.
- This is nice and all but what's the point of increased range if the chain can still break at the same speed. Shouldn't the chain get a buff in terms of how long it lasts till it breaks?

The chain would also be buffed so if you hit someone from 24 meters away you can actually real them in and hit them

I would also do addons to now idk what to change cause after the update his addons are pretty ok now since some were buffed but I would still change some

Yeah. I seriously don't understand why they gave him an addon that makes him move 1% faster while aiming.

I'd lower his TR from 32 to 28m. Low enough to give him some help for being 4.4, but big enough you can't cheese with Monitor.
Beyond that, I'd just change some of his add-ons.
Movement speed add-ons should have their values changed. I think 5% and 2.5% (from 2.5% and 1%) would be fine.
Reel Speed add-ons are useless, and their effects can be replicated by backwalking. What I would do is buff their effects, but remove the added acceleration from backwalking (so the reel takes longer if you backwalk in the open, but could still do it to get some cheeky hits).

Well he was problem for some people, I was not one of them. I was 100% fine with him, including playing againts him. I think he was fine killer who you could win againts him easy with either the Killer not being that good with him or Survivors being rly good as a team. He was not even a top tier killer.
Now (thanks to some survivors complaining about him) he have some more counterplay but he is totaly clunky and unfun and much weaker so Killers will less likely pick him or play him thanks to him being so trash.

just revert and go back to the drawing board on reworking instead of gutting deathslinger
32m tr on a 110% with a power like that is utterly inexcusable to exist in-game and it blows my mind it made it into live, that's saying something

Revert the changes and as others above mentioned make his chain easier to break. No more walking backwards for starters that's what i feel that most of the frustration comes from. You get speared and cowboy starts walking back wards the survivor is locked in place and can't do anything.

Nothing, BHVR is too stubborn and prideful to reverse changes. The ideal nerf to slinger would be to add a small cool down when leaving downsights before you can look again, something like 2-3 seconds. If you landed a shot the time would be spent reloading and would prevent ADS spam into M1.
INSTEAD what we have is a Killer made more unfun and sluggish to play, which is a complete failure in terms of game design. They took the Killer and made them not fun to even play, which is frankly a travesty and I'm shocked people aren't asking for refunds for borderline ruining what made the Killer enjoyable. Same with Billy.

Revert him back to his old self than we'll be good and if not maybe just make him default killer speed or something.
