DC Penalty OFF make's the game totally unplayable..

What's the point of even play the game when ppl started to DC massively after they turned off penalty? When I play killer for example Plague and down first survivor with red puke in first 60sec he just DC and his friend I guess DC too and I'm left in match with two survivors and what I'm supposed to do?? And this scenario repeats again and again and again survivors just do clicky clicky with flashlight and when I'll catch them they DC.. Or when I play survivor I try my best to take agro of killer on me to let my teammates do gens, we have left 2 gens to do and then killer switch agro to someone else, kill him and this guy just dc and then another one dc... What the ######### is the point of even play the game right now!? Some bunch of streamers cried enough on streams and YouTube that they get so many hackers and cant play the game while lying that "hackers problem" is global when the truth is that only content creators constantly get hackers in their lobby just cause some morons want to have fun stream sniping them with hack.. So I see now few streamers are happy cause they can DC every second game when they get hacker and the same time all the rest of the community that they meet hacker once per 10000000 matches has ruined the fun of the game cause almost every game someone DC in first minute, usually more than one person.. I stopped play DBD until they turn it back on cause I dont see any sense of play now..

Well, I've been playing the game the entire evening so it's not really unplayable

    Checkmate

What are you supposed to do? Kill the other 2 survivors that's your objective after all. Go and do it, don't worry about people who DC they lose time and blood points, so they get their punishment.

The problem with this is that survivors will DC to lower their MMR (I'm not even sure if it does lower MMR now, perhaps they are trying to preserve it) - and it denies their team a win and me BP. You've not only made it easy to grief without penalty, but you're providing a direct incentive to be a jerk.

Honestly, the AFK/DC penalty should be way harsher, something like LoL's LeaverBuster where you can lose your account if you continue to do it. Your enjoyment doesn't trump the enjoyment of 4 others. If you queue up, see the game through.

Losing an account because you DC? No wonder that game is more notorious then DBD. But I understand losing BP isn't fun and BBQ stacks but it is what it is. This game isn't balanced enough to warrant sitting through the nonsense that can happen. (Slugged for 4 minutes, being bullied cause the map was against you and the survivors had better perks.)

Honestly if the DC penalty was harder they would lose a lot of players. I don't even know if I will keep playing when it comes back. I was on the line of leaving the game before they turned it off, and them turning it off has made me enjoy the game again because I don't have to care about the cheaters, stress, or bullies in the game.

There is nothing worse in this game than when you are forced to endure constant humiliation and bullying because you have to wait 5-10+ minutes if you decided to simply walk away. A game is supposed to be fun, not make you miserable.

And the game is fun without a DC penalty, when you can just walk away when you are not having fun. When you can walk away from the bullies that put too much time into this game and treat it like an esport. Players pay money into this game to have fun, not to get bullied or be stressed out, this isn't League of Legends. This isn't a competitive game. This isn't an eSport. It's an asymmetrical (Link) game, it's never going to be fair or balanced, but it can be fun.

If you want this to be League of Legends. Then go play League of Legends. This is Dead by Daylight a completely different game.

Thing is - those situations arise maybe once in a blue moon. The occasional DC is fine. However, allowing people to DC at will to troll their team and deny the killer a good match is poisonous for your game.

If you are constantly DCing, you are basically a plague on the community, as you're ruining dozens of people's games on a potentially daily basis. Damn straight, you should be removed from said community.

And don't knock LoL - between the Tribunal and Leaverbuster, the game went from probably the most toxic game on the planet to the least toxic MOBA out there (which I guess is like saying the smallest elephant in the world, but it is what it is).

Well you know that blue moon thing you mentioned? I just experienced it, Freddy on Swamp as per usual. (I always ######### get swamp as him) and the survivors Gen rushed me to oblivion and annoyed me and the Claudette was cheating because she would just disappear mid chase and end up behind me like 40 meters away. I didn't DC I should have because I spent the whole match struggling to catch 2 meta monkeys. ON LOOPS I SHOULD BE ABLE TO CATCH THEM AS A ######### ANTI LOOP KILLER.

Yup. There are hackers. If I see one, I just park my killer somewhere in the open and go get a drink, and report them after the game.

    This sounds like a lag-switcher.

That said, it could also be someone with a terrible connection.

    Shrug.

It's a good system, regardless of genre. Someone who constantly and deliberately DCs to get easier matches/troll is ruining the game for multiple people.

Why do you think this is something worth defending? Today has literally been 'survivor DCs the second I hook them', and now I have to throttle back to give everyone a chance, or I just have to wipe them - no fun either way.

Because you are wording it wrong. Players are not dc'ing to get easier matches or troll games. They are dcing when they are not having fun or being humiliated. Which forcing these players to stay in the game only grows the already too much toxicity.

It's a good system in League of Legends because League of Legends is a competitive game. It is a skill based game. It is a relatively balanced game.

Again. If you want to play League of Legends, go play league of legends. You are wasting your time here trying to turn DBD into an esport.

I'd be happy with their punishment if they weren't immediately able to queue up again. Turn the DC penalty back on.

thats not true and i rather take that than be taken hostage by hackers.

If this many people are just leaving games the issue might not be the lack of penalty. It might be the game itself

Yet they queue up again. There’s a whole lot of bad logic in this thread.

The first player I catch almost every game quits out. How is BHVR suppose to fix that? Filter them out with a penalty.

I love the penalty, it keeps players in game and prevents the trial from being ruined from a sore loser. I'm all for keeping it. But then I got good at the game and MMR began, and i face hackers every 5 games. The penalty needs to stay off
