The Future of DBD Killers
I have been thinking about this... So they keep pushing the line on what can or can't be in DBD. I think Nemesis pushed it the furthest so far since he is from a full on action game. I personally just want them to start going all out now. Like go beyond just horror characters. Go for a lot of things as long as it fits the killer and survivor style. Like do stuff from I don't know superhero licenses or do more action licenses that can fit in DBD! Like maybe Scarecrow or something from DC. Killer Croc. What do you guys want? Do you guys want them to stick closer to horror or go all put like I want as long as it fits?

I want them to stick to horror (or at least things adjacent to horror) but I'm glad they're branching out into other types of horror, and that they understand their aesthetic properly. Something from Gotham would work, though, since it's kinda rundown and grimy and everything kinda sucks there, but it'd be weird to bring in something from Metropolis.
That being said, bringing in things from other genres and then subjecting them to decay, destruction, and rot could be interesting. Something normally shiny and hopeful, left grimy and ruined...
Side note, I'd love to see Constantine as a survivor if we're pulling from comics. More the Vertigo version than the DC version, though, Hellblazer was a proper horror comic.

Resident Evil 3 is not a full on action game... Like, what?

Meh.
Black widow is my favorite so if they gonna go down this route (highly doubt it) would love her....Thanos as killer might be drip too.

You won't get it because the licensing would likely be crazy expensive but Scarecrow from DC would be awesome.

There's a future for DbD killers!? I'm shocked, shocked i tell you!

Postal dude skin for plague, but with a censor instead of a censer.

I swear this is like the 50th post where you mention Nemesis
0 -
Yeah. What about it?

Yeah Jill jumping down a building that is exploding and on fire after a high speed boss battle with Nemesis and his flamethrower isn't action.

Weren't there DC characters in Naughty Bear?

I don't know, besides slasher icons like Jason, Alien, Pennywise, etc. There are others that although they are not horror, I would like to see them, Batman Scarecrow could have chemicals that can cause an effect to the survivor to distort his screen and feel a radius terror throughout the map, each survivor would be reflected as Scarecrow which would enter In distrust, to remove this effect you should be able to cooperate with another survivor or search for an antidote in limited boxes. It's my idea but it would be funny.

I think that they should stick at least to characters that are "horroable". Nemesis with his zombies is a pretty good example as Resisdent Evil is more than just an action game but has a huge horror aspect and I think this sets a good mark.
Action is okay but it should have a terrifing aspect as well as a survival aspect. This means that characters from dystopian games are also quit fitting.
As such i would like them to go for Killers who fit this aspect.
Big Daddy and Little Sister (Bioshock), Slenderman, characters from Little Nightmares are a given. But you could also add characters from Bloodborne, SOMA or Dark Souls (or equaly crafted games) if they want. As long as the character is terrifying enough and hunts humans...why not?
Sure Father Gascoigne or Micolash, Host of the Nightmare are from an "action" game. But they would fit here because the DbD survivors are not Hunters.

Your premise is that Resident Evil isn't a horror series. A lot of people are going to disagree with that.

While Resident Evil is definitely an Action game it still has very obvious horror elements and is indeed horror genre as well as action. Things are not always only one thing or another.

Not what I said. I was talking about RE3 specifically. RE is most certainly a horror series. The biggest video game horror franchise out there.

I was specifically talking about Resident Evil 3.

I'm trying to think of someone from Dark Souls.
Nito? Aldrich?

I hope they mix and match a few demographs, like Oni for example, Samurai + Demon. Id go for something like a ghoulish knight/trojan
Basic ones we still haven't seen;
Vampire
Werewolf
Witch
Zombie (Nemesis power?)
Some left field ones;
Knight
Ghost
Troll
Djinn
Druid
Gladiator
Wolf pack
Ideas are endless

I hope they add a reaper type killer, I'm surprised there isn't one yet, doesn't even have to be licensed. I think they have a lot of margin to stay with horror or at least evil creatures.

Aldrich would be a good addition. But without Gwendolyn and his arrow spam. He would be a giant man eating worm that could gain power-ups by wounding survivors / another way of sacrificing by eating them.
Chaos Witch Quelag also comes to mind or Slave Knight Gael.

Ceaseless Discharge? ;)

I want so much a Bloodborne chapter. It's an action RPG but it's filled with Lovecraftian elements, so it's not like it wouldn't fit DBD. I can already imagine something like Gascoigne, Gerhman or even Orphan of Kos as killers. Unfortunately it will probably never happen due to Sony.

I just want more original characters.
We've seen what BHVR will do just to get a license and we've also seen that licenses can leave. I'd rather more original content that doesn't fund NFTs or leaves the game.

Yeah exactly. Something that can just fit in DBD. It would be so cool to just go beyond horror franchises. As long as the specific characters or monsters you choose fit.

I hope for more original killers.
