So how fast will circle of healing get nerfed do you reckon?
It's definitely too strong and needs a tone down.
The thing is, when do you reckon it'll get nerfed? I wanna know how long I have to play plague for before it becomes a non game breaking perk.
Issue is that it's most probably an old MoM situation where due to the survivor releasing on their own, there's not much reason to buy the chapter, so they make 1 perk incredibly strong to make people buy it.
I give it 2 weeks.

This might be a hot take, but I find shadowstep way more stronger. Circle of healing is straightforward and consistent in what it offers but shadowstep can make tiles into a nightmare, even if those set ups are rng.

100% agree I have a bigger problem with shadowstep.
4 -
I haven’t even gotten to play with it yet bruh
3 -
As fast as dead hard: never
5 -
About a week longer than it originally would have taken.
1 -
It only took a few hours and they deleted it from the game. After already being nerfed prior to going live.

I have to disagree.
COF gives everyone a we'll make it on others, brown medkit on yourself, highlights the totem for every survivor to see saying "COME HERE FOR HEALS", all at the expense of a little time wasted by one survivor and 1 perk slot.
Shadowstep has more counterplay as it's clear when it activates, you can change your pathing to go in areas with more LOS, and it really don't do much on outdoor maps. Indoor however it's a monster perk.

Honestly, it wouldn't shock me if it was nerfed when it gets reinstated. I got to use it for all of one match as a survivor and it felt grossly unfair with how strong it was.
I never dealt with it as killer since it got pulled so quickly but I can't imagine the killer was happy with that match and that was on a bigger map. I can't imagine the damn nightmare it would be on The Game or Midwich...

I hope the devs will make snuffing out boons more impactful at stopping those perks instead of nerfing boons into worse versions of existing perks.
I think the fact that the killer either gives up all pressure to temporarily remove the boon from play or the killer ignores the boon allowing survivors to have uncontested aoe buffs is just a lose-lose situation.
I played a game against a Nemesis who kept dropping chase to snuff my shadow step and he basically threw the game doing so. But at the same time it was a totem under the dock so you can't really just ignore it either.
2 -
Hopefully, I still think however that COH should get a fat nerf, most likely getting the self care part of it taken away.

Both boons need a nerf. Killer's can't track survivors in shadow steps AOE when they also have IW. It's even worse if they have spine chill and get a head start.
COH gives infinite super heals to the entire team. They can heal so fast, they can almost do it mid-chase.

Funnily enough I've had no issue with shadowstep as breathing and blood still exists. COH is the new old MOM, people will claim that it's not broken yet it's game breaking.
Remember "Just use special attacks 4Head MoM is fine"? Now it'll be "Just snuff out the totem 4Head".

Yeah above all i think the range its still too big and to top it off its extended even more for 4 seconds after leaving the area. Its needs to be reduced, it greatly affect slow killers. Either that or the disability to relit the boon infinite times, killer don't have time to step on totems at all.
1 -
Hopefully never
5 -
It doesn't need a nerf. People are overreacting. lol
7 -
Not soon enough
2 -
Soon enough that I've decided not to unlock the teachable.
1 -
It's an okay perk idc if survivors wanna spend 2 or 3 gens worth of time lighting boons
2 -
If I had to guess, COH will get nerfed in the next chapter.
2 -
when sales taper off
1 -
Yep. People don't realize that time spent blessing totems/healing= less time on gens. It's not OP at all.
6 -
Probably once sales start to slow down. I'd think a month.
However, I'd prefer if they just increased the totem aura sound somehow.
But to be clear, I do not think it's overpowered. It is powerful though. I've mostly played killer since the patch.

Half a year

I would give them the Demo Portal treatment, they cannot bless another Totem until the previous one is destroyed.
1 -
They're both kind of ridiculous imo. The effect is just not proportional to the requirement. In another game, where killers don't need to snowball of of injuries and where killers can afford to waste time looking for survivors that leave no scratch marks, these perks would be fine. In current DBD, they're just not a good thing at all.

2 Years.

I actually really like this. I was thinking just remove the boost to healing speed. Make it equivalent to Self Care. But maybe they should combine both our ideas!
Ok, fine, the person who blesses the totem that’s being used can get a healing speed boost.
3 -
BHVR definitely will nerf shadowstep and circle of healing but until their cash cow this new survivor until then we will waiting tho
1 -
shadowstep is fine tbh.

Why should it get a nerf? Survivor finally has a totem perk, which they have to waste time not doing the objective to get benefit of a very small area?
I think they are a very good addition, something to change the game up a little bit. Killers get new overpowered perks all the time. Starstruck, Plaything, Undying, and Blood Favor got buffed to only name a few.
1 -
Wait for the next boon totem that will be even stronger.
Those ones wont be nerfed for a while.
Just do bones.
0 -
That works, but only if they're injured. And for killers like spirit that won't work at all.
3 -
sooo, never and one week?
0 -
as soon as dead hard (never)
0 -
just do bones and gen completed will become so fast.. lol
0 -
I want it nerfed. Not because it's too strong, but because I really despise being left to go second state while I watch a Mikaela wander the map, bless a totem, and then self-care, and THEN come get me.

Boon: Guardian Angel
A boon that will be nerfed in 23 years
All survivors suffer from the Endurance status effect.

They need time to collect data.
Most of the anxiety over these boon totems are just killers being terrified & scared. In reality, the perks are probably not as powerful as they seem. We shall see.
0 -
you'll probably be waiting longer than that.
0 -
It's a survivor perk, so maybe in 2-3 years...
If it were Hex: Circle of Death, it would be nerfed into the ground next mid-chapter balance patch.
3 -
exactly lol

I just hope it doesnt take as long as DS.

The DH/Pallet validation took it's toll last night so I switched over to survivor. 3-4 games had this boon and man it is incredible. Really saves a load of time and I had a med-kit so I healed what seemed like in 7 seconds mid chase. I like it as survivor hate the thought of it as killer.
0 -
Honestly hope it happens soon, 4-5 second heals with a good med kit and add ons is stupid strong
0 -
I'd say next chapter. They are still selling Mikaela's DLC.
0 -
A bit surprised it wasn't nerfed before being brought back to live.

Looks like a mistype, pretty sure you meant "buffed". I'd be shocked if BHVR nerfed this perk being so survivor sided based on the "data". I agree with others here that shadow step is way better. Honestly it shouldn't hide both your scratch marks and aura from the killer. That should be split into two boon totem perks.

Boon - Tinkerer : Grant 200% speed boost in repairing gens on the whole map. If snuffed, will teleport on another totem 3 times in a row. The 4th snuff will stun the killer during 130 seconds.
Survivor mains on this forum : "Boon Tinkerer is balanced"

Tinkerer vs Tinkerer
I will outtinker your tinker

It's a survivor buff, it will not get nerfed because, you know, too many cry-babies will cry about it
