Seriously i feel like i can actually see as Freddy now since they turned the brightness up.
The Dream World doesn't exactly look great even now but going from one extreme (darkness) to extremely bright has been a major improvement in my opinion.
The Spirits map in the house though...That's an issue...

It's not good on the survivor end though. I liked it better when I had a hard time seeing in the dream realm, it made being in there feel more disorienting and dangerous. Now I feel like I can see with almost no issues, which helps me find my way around the map and plan out the places I'm running to during a chase.1
