Theory about MMR mismatches people are commonly complaining about.
IE: Where a Killer who knows they aren't god's gift to killers goes up against a very sweaty SWF and clamors 'MMR is broken!'
Scenario: One or two survivors play a whole bunch of solo queue, their MMR goes down. Obviously, we all know the tier order for this game. It IS survivor sided at higher levels of play but it often only takes one donkey to throw a game for everyone. Then the weekend or their afternoon rolls around and the boys are getting on, so they all hop on comms and proceed to do some grade A steamrolling, where the first 6-7 games are against a killer matched against their artificially lowered MMR avg.
I guess the inverse would be Killers playing an alt Killer with their lower MMR starting point and using their high level mind games on survivors that are still potato'ing there way around RPD trying to figure out the layout. I am certainly guilty of this, I didn't have an average given to me because I didn't participate during the soft phases (AND DADDY NEEDS HIS FREE ADEPTS).
This is not a complaint, I don't believe there is a fix. Don't suggest seperate MMRs like LoL has, the game ain't that big, even if it is doing well.
I just want the smoothbrains on either side to stop acting surprised when they experience the mismatch occasionally.

Thats essentially what happened to me yesterday, i kept going against good killers that were absolutely wrecking my team cuz solo q, so i stopped playing and only came back when some friends showed. Even tho we were barely putting any effort in the game, and were even sandbagging eachother from time to time, we would almost always get a 4 man escaped, even though we'd play significantly worse

At this point I'm very much surprised at people expecting to hog all the beginner players to themselves just so that they can have 'fun'. I don't think there's enough players with the same experience with the game to always get that type of match, you're bound to get mismatches. It's a five year old game after all with a dedicated fan base.

Me and my friends just joke that our matches are inconsistent because if we all escape one match, but then all die in the one following, it's a 50% escape rate, meaning it's perfectly balanced to BHVR.

This is my entire experience playing killer atm. First game will be against new/bad players and I easily get a 4k while playing nice and sandbagging, next game players who are way better than me with 4 rainbow items and results in a 3-4 man escape. Rinse and repeat.

That is entirely another different, yet complimentary experience to what I originally described. I do believe that has happened to me as a killer as well.
Personally, I'd like to believe if I could just find that weakest link a little faster I can stomp the inevitable 4 man escape matchup too I Ain't going to let BHVR crystal ball my games.

My experience is the same as most people responding - still a killer main, but SWF, SoloQ, and killer trials are typically 0/1 kills or 4ks, back to back, with very few matches seeming close. My Wraith games still seem bugged though, with no matter the number of 4ks I get I'm still facing potatoes.

I’ve been playing with a friend who is low mmr so consequently I easily loop killers who have no idea what they are doing when I solo again cause my mmr dropped so much. Besides at least it means more variety.
