Seclude PC from Crossplay against cheaters; Right or Wrong?
The cheating in Dead by Daylight becomes a major problem for everyone who plays fairly and the cheating increases by the number. Reporting them does nothing and the anti-cheat that they use is unreliable. BHVR must focus on this current problem or it will never end. The best solution right now is to remove PC from crossplay and let the people from consoles play with eachother until BHVR finds a reasonable fix.
The killers have no choice but to leave the match because the hacker finds it funny to put the killer hostage, and then the killer gets penalized for it from their hacking. That's just absurd.
You have to do something about this or the game will literally become a hacker vs hacker situation.

Makes as much sense as banning console players from crossplay so I don't lose games when my teammates perks don't work or they lag into a corner because they're playing on a system with 10+ year old tech, which inherently negatively impacts me when I then have to go rescue them because they went down to bad performance caused by their outdated machine.

cant you just turn off crossplay for yourself on console?

Bad idea, that's how you kill a game that started on PC. What needs to be done are reports with evidence need priority and action needs to be taken swiftly. If that is "too much" for BHVR to handle they need to get a better anti cheat cause EAC is a joke that does little to nothing to prevent hacking.

If you don't want to play with PC players, turn off crossplay on your end.
The point of crossplay is to enable everyone to play with everyone.

A. Wrong, because PC hackers can still appear in your console lobbies. Spoofing that system is actually pretty easy.
B. Wrong, console is the secondary market for the game.
C. Wrong, console players are consistently pretty bad survivor teammates - not inherently due to any fault of their own, but because BHVR looks at B and uses that to set their development schedule: console is an unoptimized mess which actively fights against play. The console experience is one of dragging PC players down.

I play on PS4 and I can say that this game has a ton of lag spikes. Now, funny enough, DbD is the ONLY game that I own, that has these issues.
So you can't blame that on hardware alone, since the game isn't exactly a "Next Gen" title. The issue lies within the bad coding and I wish all of you people, who constantly hate on console players, would realize that.
