Got all 4 iri emblems, does that mean I played well?
So I know grades are different to mmr. I'm just saying if I got 4 iri emblems as a rank 1 grade you would assume I played well? Or no?
Basically i got paragraph and paragraph over hate on how i done nothing all game, I'll write pretty much the game below if you wish to read it just curious if you think 4 iri emblems is proof enough.
So the game: killer was blight, I forget the perks but wasn't anything crazy, I know he had pop (no ruin etc.)
In total of gen progress that I done was 5 gens, we did not finish all 5 gens (got the last one to 95% before being chased off at endgame) the reason for this is he kept popping my gens. I finished 3.
I got 2saves and 2 and 1/3 of healing, the 1/3 was a slug and the 2 was of the hook.
I had 2-5 chases, while not many It wasted the killers time and he never got a hit, the reason its 2-5 is he would get distracted by me and then give up not long after. This is due to him struggling to get me and was smart not committing to me. I'm happy to get chased, I love it! But I couldn't force him to do it and it was smart, so I focused hard on those gens as no one else seemed to be doing it.
It felt like my team was struggling in chase and often went for altruism and always needing to heal. So I tried my best to progress gen wise, was close to the last one but the other two got downed within 5seconds of each other, hooked and died. I was chased by the killer, mindgamed my scratch Mark's and found hatch.
Did I deserve the mass amount of hate? Or did I do the right move?
Side note: I dont care about the hate, if had a blast playing today just curious what people thought.

Nah just really curious, like I said I had a blast today with my games. Most fun if had all week, but my curiosity gets the best of me and I like to know how people think

So why so much hate? Answer that for me lol. My team was a 3man swf so maybe times have changed, they wanted me to stop doing gens and body block. Should I? Curiosity my dude, maybe there was a flaw in my play but it's hard to know your own mistakes unless proven wrong.
I assume from the comment you dont like the post. That's fine, you didnt have to read but this is a place for discussions and I'm curious if I should of done things different

It's not that I hate the post so much, it's just that you already know you've done nothing wrong. Clearly, there's nothing you have done to deserve abuse, because why would you. You knew you'll get people that'll be on your side when you've made this thread and that's okay I guess, sometimes people need a pat on the back - And that is to be expected when you dedicate a post to how good of a job you've done.

Well there seems to be little winning on this forum, like you make a post about one side and you get attacked by the other etc. Sometimes I never know what to post about lol, iv tried to do community challenges and stuff everyone can get in on but it's rare more than 3people comment.
It's not so much I want a pat as just to discuss and talk to people about stuff without being attacked for an opinion if that makes sense

If you are paired with a group in ANY game, you will be the odd man out. I would need a bit more context, but you said yourself they struggled in chase, maybe a body block would have helped them out a bit. Sounds like you didn't even get hooked and everyone else died. I would have considered you as a garbage teammate if that happened regardless of your medals. But I wouldn't send you a message or anything.

Well I was debating to take those hits etc. But i know no one was really doing gens and wanted to progress the match.
Maybe if it wasnt blight I could body block and they can hold W but he catches up fast. Like I did distract him at times but he really wouldn't chase me.
I expected us all to die tbh, hatch was just luck and means little to me. Maybe I should of tried to protect them more but I wouldn't of known how to begin that game tbh it was an odd one lol

Yeah, that is true. Some of them just don't have it and you need to basically cut them off and block a door just to take a hit. Been there and done that. That is why context is important. I hate it when my sister gets tunneled out and will not just take a hit, but let him hook me to get them to leave her alone. But even then, the more relentless of them will just slug and move on. Literally nothing you can do about it.

Honestly wasnt many doors on that map lol, iv body blocked alot before in the past and it has sometimes worked to help them alive but sometimes we still all die or I'm left on the hook and the team doesn't want to "repay the favour" if you will.
I probably should of asked gens, or body block? Which is better? So people dont think I just want praise lol

You didn't deserve the hate in general or specifically for how you played.
And guess what? You didn't even deserve a mmr increase, which effectively went down despite playing well. 2 year of making for this system, btw.

Read my above comment, probably should of phased the topic better. I really dont need to brag, if I was to do a post every time I done stuff like this in a trial I'd have an awful lots of posts.
I make alot of discussions etc. But not the best writing, I'm awful at english.

Mmr dont even make sense lol, games are so up and down in how they play. One day escape 19games as a solo with killer getting few hooks, next days no one does gens haha.
Do wish mmr meant more though.

I mean I'd take the compliment but I'm fully British I'm just dumb with language lol.
I can do college and get A* in maths, computers, design etc. But barely get a C in English... I just cant do it and I dont know why :( I honestly think its because I'm always interested in other things and watching and listening to things in all different kind of languages has mixed it up within my brain D:

A lot of players just can't take responsibility for their own mistakes in a match.
I remember being in a similar situation to yours against a Freddy running Discordance. As soon as I noticed, I avoided any gens with other people - the other 3 continuously teamed up on gens together & were constantly getting chased because of it.
I ended up finishing 4 of the 5 gens, and when we finally finished the last gen we were down to just me and 1 other survivor. I chose not to bodyblock for him (as NOED had appeared and they were on death hook,) and the endgame chat was just a mess of hate from the other survivors.
Somedays you just can't win haha.
