Are bots even coming to the core version of the game?
So, the mobile version has had bots for some time now, They can replace a player, they can be put in custom gamed so you can practice with killers, or with any build you want. I still don't understand why this function hasn't reached the core game yet, considering that on mobile they don't even have the deathslinger

Unfortunately I think they've said before they aren't planning to bring bots to PC. Which is a shame, it would be nice to have bots both to replace disconnected players and also to be able to practice or explore maps with bots as opponents. (Technically the PC version does have the tutorial mode where you can play with or against bots with Trapper as the killer on a single map, but obviously that's pretty limited.)

the saddest part is that the bots' AI is already in the game, so it's a spontaneous choice not to add them lmao

The killer bot in the tutorial cheats though.

I actually don't think most of the killer bots are in the PC version, they only programmed Trapper and maybe only on that one map. The mobile version has lots of bots but that app is apparently a completely different program they built kind of from the ground up so it's not something where they can easily translate what the mobile devs did to the PC. My guess is if it was actually straightforward to copy the bots over from mobile they would have done it already, it's just not though.

Wait, really? How so lol

It presumably reads your inputs. Most ai do that in games, but they try to mask it to make them feel less mechanical.

DBD needs this.
It would be nice to have a chill-out lounge where you can go around merrily murdering bots with the ability to pause the game if someone knocks on your door etc.
I couldn't play DBD last night cause I was under siege from Trick or Treaters. Had a go on Resident Evil Village instead. Every 60 seconds...knock knock. Pain in the bloody buttocks.

Any cool costumes?

Its funny the survivor bots are both awful and insane, obviously they just run in straight lines and get caught easily, but at "unsafe pallets" its actually so hard to hit them, its actually pretty good practice.

There is a ton of bots on PC what are you on about? :^)

It would be a really terrible ai if it worked only on that one map tbh.

Haha yes.
We had a couple of kids turn up with full-body dinosaur costumes and one had a bright green inflatable alien outfit.
It was nice to see them enjoying themselves after a rather crap year.

Source?

It would be nice to be able to learn the maps without the stress of dealing with other people. XD

I’m going by offhand memory, if I had a link I’d post it. 🤷♂️

Considering how unhappy killers have been, im surprised they havent added bots yet.

The bot will zero in on you regardless of where you are most of the time. The bot can be on the far side chasing another "survivor" then come straight for you. I even tested it with lockers where there was no way it could have heard my character and he zero'd in on the locker even though there was multiple in the area.

Then he would fit right in with the real life killers.

There are bots which can loop better than players from what I've saw playing trapper's training

If not adding bots it would be nice if you could just run a map to learn the layout. I know you can do a custom game, but I need at least a week by myself to figure out the Raccoon City RE map. I am always lost on that one.
