Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Option to let survivors instantly bleed out

Why is it we can kill our selves on hook but are forced to wait the full bleed out duration if we’re being slugged?

and I’m not talking about rage quitting after going down within 30 seconds of the first chase, I’m talking about those times where the killer is refusing to hook, even if you’re the last survivor left alive. either because he knows he can’t take you to a hook before you wiggle free or he’s just tilted and wants to watch you suffer because you looped him all game, even if you’re not crawling to find the hatch because he’s just hovering over you making sure you die on the floor

there should be an option to instantly bleed out if you’ve already reached the half way point, or at least give us an option to speed up the process anyway, it’s really un fun in those situations where there’s literally nothing you can

Issue with this is it creates a easy way for people to rage quite like before, which is something we absolutely do not need.

If you have the option to instantly bleed out if you want, you can just ######### on the first down and basically dc from the game without actually dcing.

It's even harder to ######### on hook now and you'll most likely be saved before you can do so, so I don't think that's even comparable to what you're suggesting.

What you're suggesting would also make an exploit in the game basically become an in game feature, ie dcing for hatch, which is generally considered toxic and rude and so on, we don't need that.

While it may suck you will be forced to bleed out sometimes, whether you decide to crawl to the edge of the map so he can't hook you (which would be your own fault tbh if you were left to bleed out then) or if the killer decides to be a jerk, it's a necessary evil to this game so things don't get a lot worse.

Also the odds of actually getting slugged to death are small, it happens very rarely.

I would be fine with it only if it became an option after losing half of your bleeding bar (2 minutes).

That way you basically have to stay for what is a full hook but not for the entirety of bleed out bar if killer decides to let you bleed to death.

If the timer reaches the half bar It should have the give up option.

There's plenty that you can do.

Get something to drink or eat.

    Take a look outside.

Exactly that, just tab out like if you were waiting in queue. If you add an option to kill yourselves people will grief teammates many times like when you could [commit stop living] on hook immediately.

Survivors that can't face the results of their mistakes are why we have inflated kill rates and unnecessary nerfs.

I'm on console so I can't tab out😂 but I can put the controller down and pick up my phone.

And I think OP meant when their the last survivor left and everyone is dead to be able to tap out.

I hate being left to bleed out. I usually crawl to the killer when it’s obvious no one is coming to help. It’s like, if they aren’t coming to get me, they obviously won’t be pulling me so just let me die with some dignity.

How to say remove the DC penalty without saying remove the DC penalty

I made a recent post on this, all you get is bring this perk in, it's not a help and it's not a solution, I get fed up of it too.

There's also a simple fix to this, run unbreakable. New boon counters slugging, we're gonna live forever does the same, same for soul guard and no mither, there is no reason to be complaining about slugging anymore.

How to say “I didn’t fully read the post” without saying “I didn’t fully read the post”

I specifically said this isn’t about rage quitting, it’s about being the last survivor left alive and the killer refusing to hook because they’re tilted or trolling and instead of just hooking and winning the game instantly they’d rather waste your time and let you bleed out on the ground for 4 minutes, knowing you can’t do anything else

I also said the option should only be available at the half way timer, as to not use it for instantly DC’ing, which you’d have seen if you read the entire post before commenting

    Someone said it, thank you.

Survivor entitlement is what’s driving all the terrible changes in this game.

Maybe only for the last survivor alive, otherwise it would just be another form of RQ, though with everything else in the game this would be the least of my concerns, just goo look for hatch, force them to pick you up

Being able to exit the game instead of bleeding out is like a DC. Sometime the killer will leave you on the ground to bait out the last survivor, if you are dead on hook, before the hatch spawns. Sometimes I do it because the hook that is closes is gone with a death, and the nearest one is too far away. If the survivor wiggles I will lose them. and sometime I will do it because the team is so bad, I would rather let them heal then take the player out.

As regards to survivor entitlement, that's just ridiculous. The entitlement on this forum goes both ways. Killers moan about survivors, survivors moan about killers.

I played a game as a survivor in Hawkins, the killer was trickster with lots of perks to slow down gens perks to help with knives, addons to lesson the knives needed and to ricochet. It took no skill to just spam the knife throwing, it was like aimbot. Then at the end of the game he started screaming that it was survivor sided, we could not do gens because they was so slow, we could not run down corridors, because he did not even have to aim at us, so how is that easier for survivor.

As long as it's specifically focused on eliminating wasted time, sure. So if the game is at the point where outside of edge cases it's without a doubt over, let it happen. Or better yet, just let the survivor teleport themselves onto a basement hook where they get "rush sacrificed" like if you get hooked for the first time as the last survivor alive - no attempt to escape or anything, as this is purely a "gg, lets move on" mechanic. Not entirely sure how this should work as I don't want it to be easy to "circumvent" for a killer that actively wants to be a jerk, but I don't want it to be abused as a ragequit mechanism either - but hopefully my intention is clear at least.

At the same time give the killer a lever in the basement or something that immediately makes all living survivors escape after some condition is met (it's gonna be endgame/near endgame). This includes slugged and hooked survivors because again, it's to end a match and nothing else.

I personally don't care about being bled out or survivors waiting until 0.000052 seconds remain of EGC to leave as I just go get a drink or something. But both situations are a waste of time in a match that in the vast majority of cases is already decided, so a way to skip to the more or less inevitable would be nice.

Lets say, after 4 minutes of being slugged a survivor can press F to bleed out.
