BHVRs killer design is outdated
As per usual, with the new killer being available to play, we have yet another chance to see BHVR apply their outdated killer design to another killer.
Really oppressive 1v1, but is hard countered by holding W.
This is an issue that has plagued almost every killer since Blight, Twins can be really oppressive in chase, but can be countered by holding W, Trickster suffers from the same problem, as well as Nemesis and PinHead.
This is not only getting old, but it's making the counterplay some of the most boring stuff in the entire game.
We need more killers with good 1v1, and good map pressure so they don't just have to hold w to punish you, because let's be real, that's not fun for either side.

An ideal killer has mobility, map pressure (important for 4v1), chase potential. These aspects can overlap.
Ex: Nurse can end chases with her chase potential, and that same power gives her mobility (it’s a freaking teleport) and map pressure (she can quickly apply pressure to different generators).
Blight’s power makes him move fast - again, which can end chases/loops quickly. He can also pressure generators very well since he gets there so quick. Same can be said for Spirit… although she’s been getting nothing but nerfs lately.
Funny how the top 3 killers (by general consensus) I mentioned have all 3 right? It’s almost like there’s a pattern here.
Regarding Crow Lady (Artist), she has a potentially good chase power, potentially decent map pressure (shooting crows at gens) but NOTHING mobility wise. This automatically disqualifies her from being one of the top killers. She can still be good, but will never be near the top due to her limitations.

We desperately need killers that have fair counterplay. They need to remember that the only thing survivors have is pallets in the game. Either give more tools to use or stop making anti-loop, super oppressive killers.

that's exactly what I was going to say.

Intel doesn’t mean jack if you can’t get to gens fast enough. Even Spirit can struggle if she’s not running some kind of speed/duration addon because gens get done too quick.
And Artist’s chase power is far from being considered “downing for free”. Survivors have plenty of ways to dodge crows.

Better then design they had before making killer with not good enough antiloop who got easily countered by just throwing down a pallet.
Antiloop powers are essential part of the game and make chases more interactive, not just loop wood 4 times, throw it down and repeat 10 times before all gens pop so that you can do the same boring ######### in the next match.
Besides, good blight is far more opressive in chase then good trickster or nemesis, it's not even comparable.

Especially Nurse. She deserves to get nerfed to the ground right?

Y'all need to stop with the word oppressive. It doesn't mean what you think it means.

Sluzzy do you have fever?

Chain hunt literally just got nerfed heavily. Undying was nerfed. Solo Survivors do not like any kind of 1v4 pressure the killer can generate that forces them to do things outside of an active chase. If it can be ignored like Freddys sleep mechanic it is ok but anything actively disruptive gets nerfed. Until BHVR either commits to active disruptions and is ok with solo survivors getting screwed by bad teammates this will eternally be a problem for them. Where they can't make good 1v4 abilities so the only option they have is to introduce strong anti-loopers or introduce garbage D tier killers who get countered in the 1v1 AND the 1v4.

Ahem flashlights, god loops, flashbangs, medkits, op meta perks, pallets that completely blocks path, 4v1.......too bad survivors only have pallets so killers csnt be anti-lock killers.

I feel like she has 2 vital pieces in her kit, good anti-loop and good scouting ability since she can send crows to scout gens for her. However, she is definitely hard countered by survivors who just run straight forward to lengthen a chase as much as possible instead of going for loops. The press W to delay down as long as possible playstyle is further improved by the new exhaustion perk, which gives you 5 seconds of speed boost instead of 3 seconds when taking damage, you can basically cross the whole map by running in a straight line with the 5 second speed boost, which basically means every chase you do as killer will be at least 30 seconds if the survivor doesn't try to loop until the end of their running in a straight line. In a game where every second is vital for the killer, those long chases can really hurt, especially if the other survivors are gen rushing with Prove Thyself.

Avoid them the same way you avoid Trapper, only you have to react faster since she can place them faster.

Holding W is the way. They just added a survivor perk for that. Fun and interactive game.

Well you gotta expect certain things from licensed killers. Nemesis being a good chaser and complaining about it is like complaining that Michael is a stalking killer. It's kinda hard to really talk about those because that's probably what people expected from them. That is how some should be. Not Nemesis though. He should be a good chaser but it was executed in the wrong way.

i think chase power is the best power, i can say from a Wraith-main standpoint that mobility does nothing if you play against smart survivors who use every ressource to it's best. Downing people fast is the best pressure you can have in this game. Stalling powers can be fine but it's nothing against a good chase power.

Yeah but if they have no mobility it just becomes W m1 simulator for survivors. If looping doesn’t work against them why bother trying?

I've been saying this for a very long time, it makes little sense to target survivors' only resource against killers, with each killer release if you are not willing to give survivors more resources.
