Why Survivors can use their blight event add-on but Killers can't?
Is there any logical or offical explanation? Because it makes no sence. You either make it Event only duration, for both sides (so it is fair) or you make it no one can use it. Why lock it only for one side?

Event add-on OP?

Already was last year
So yeah nothing new
Notblike killers addon is like bad or anything right?
1 -
No. But I don't get why Survivors can use it all year but Killers only for two weeks. It makes no sence and it sounds "unfair" for the other side.

One is usable up to 12 times a match, and changes the fundamental way that we interact with the game. One is usable once per match.
When talking about Fairness, we need to understand that Equality and Equity are not the same.

Okay but on the other hand that add-on many times stops working or it doesn't work suddenly at all. Happend to me many times. So "up to 12 times" is sometimes "up to 1-2 times" as well.

Plus the survivor one gives you a pretty decent speed boost that can make the chase last even longer. There is also a pretty decent period after where you can't do anything plus it removes your power to have it

I’ve never had the addon bug out on me.

It's still a weird double standard. I have no idea why BHVR don't disable this for survivors after the event ends.
Also - this would be an example of equality, not equity. Equity is outcomes focused. Equality is about the starting point.

It was like that last event. So as you can SEE BHVR takes the balance of this game very seriously. NO one side has any advantage, clearly.
Sarcasm can also be fun :D

This was the same complaint last year. And I have not seen the Medkit Add-On being used the whole year, until this years Halloween Event where new Add-Ons were available.
But I guess we need something to complain about, otherwise this would not be the DBD-Forum.
Dont forget the mighty flickering Flashlight.

I am just asking why is it like this because it makes no sence.
Flashlight doesn't bother me because it is just flashlight like any other. These add-ons have unique effects.

This why can I zoom zoom as a survivor but not a killer

Single vs multiple uses per trial, killers can save it via black wards while for survivors it's consumed upon use, survivors have bad add-ons in general and this one is somewhat passable instead.
In the end, it's a non-issue.

Because the game is quite survivor sided.

Because the dev favor the survivor experience over the killer

Don't tell him about Screen Stretch either guys. Just. Don't.

Yes because a trapper being forced to rush forward instead of placing a trap is absolutely a bonus.
A nurse being forced to waste time rushing when a blink is needed is just so damn good, amirite?
Huntress just hooked and sees a target to throw a hatchet at? Nah, she's gonna rush headfirst into a wall instead while that target gets away free.
But yeah, it's totally a good thing to use all the time and the survivor side being able to gain a speed boost on command is totally the worse option. Ya know, a speed boost that against 110 killers makes the survivor nigh uncatchable if they're smart about pallets and windows. Or essentially turns a 115 killer into a 110 in a chase against that survivor. But yeah you're totally right, the random FORCED rushing by killers is clearly the stronger option.
Please, my dude. Ya gotta think a little more critically

Unless it was bugged (which I heard it was), it shouldn't be random. It should activate when you use your power (and you have a token). You should gain a token every time you hook someone. There isn't anything random, or forced about it. If you equip it, you should know how and when to use it.
While I'm sure you want to engage in some kind of "BHVR hates killers" or "Killers have it so hard" conversation, I'm not really interested. If you cannot see how the add-on when used properly changes the fundamental ways you react to killers, and instead want to focus only on the situations where it might be problematic, all in the hopes of proving that it was unfair for the item to not be allowed year-round, then I am not the one who has problems with critical thinking.

But it's not usable tho? I tried to use it, but I cant
0 -
My guess? Because if you had killers randomly Blight rushing all year round, you'd have a CONSTANT flood of people complaining that their killer was hacking because they don't know it exists.
No real harm though, outside of Blight himself it's a pretty terrible add on.

Alright, even using your logic of the add on being "good" that's absolutely unfair. There's no downside to using survivor addon. It's just a nice speed boost that as stated can potentially change the entire way a killer needs to approach a chase. So the exact same thing you said about how a survivor may need to change their way of dealing with a killer who has a rush available. So using that and saying they are equals, why should one be available year round and the other not? That's literal favoritism
