Except that's ALREADY the primary excuse trying to rationalize boons as A-OKAY and totes balanced despite being... y'know.... these moveable, infinitely lasting, infinitely replaceable even when "crushed," AOE perks for your whole team, that are actually stronger than the individual counterpart perks...

Yeah, that's some bullshit there. Straight-up ######### bullshit. Not that this backpedaling is what sinks the argument. That just reveals the smokescreen as that much more transparent.
Taking even a few moments to actually consider the math of the time-value defense for boons is what really exposes the position as outright objectively false.
Starting from worst case scenarios getting literally zero usage from the incredibly powerful boon effects... taking a whole 14 seconds from 1/4 survivors basically ends up breaking-even if it wastes just 4+ seconds for the killer to locate & snuff the totem. Gotta remember: four survivors, one killer. Makes killer time far more valuable than survivor time, say, 4x as valuable...
If the boon takes any longer to snuff? That's gaining value. Every instance of actually using those boons? That's banking major value. You've got to outright assume the worst cases of the worst case parameters until you're seeing any consequences from boons as a survivor. Their "downside" is entirely predicated on a player making one very bad play, compounded by a really stupid play before it costs them... for a rather trivial time-lose when you've got 4x the players...
The prospect of balance via boon trade-off costs is downright absurd when they're negligible beyond the point of irrelevance. There are no hard decisions made in applying the perks. They've got no true costs, they've got no true drawbacks. Not meaningfully anyhow. They're such a ######### joke...

That out of this entire boondoggle, it's their suggestion for a smaller AOE radius (and/or implying to cover the whole effect field with the sound detection) that's crossing the line here? You think THEY are the ones trying to bust this game wide with wicked one-sided ways? Uh... okay then...

I’ve stopped playing killer during peak times when it’s nothing but SWF squads throwing up boon totems left and right. It’s just not worth the misery of playing against this imbalanced garbage. I’ve switched to playing survivor during peak times, but of course my queue times are now super long because nobody else wants to play killer either.

slugging is a mechanic you need to slug if gens go to fast and if you down someone then they can crawl to the totems en recover 2x as fast just saying 'don't slug' means i can't use a game mechanic to my advantage slugging forces people to help someone off the ground that pressure on 2 people then you have 1 surv who you are chasing then you have 75% map pressure thats insane for most killer but the new perk disabled that all tohhgter sorry if i my grammer is garbo :D

yes why ever cleanse a dull totem anyway you can just locate every totem and then look at them later for noed there is no reason to cleanse a dull totem

Without pumpkins anymore it doesn't even feel worth my time to go looking at totem spots. Boons can be fun but the teammates I'm getting, I'd really rather we all die than use a perk that might help them. It's unfortunate: one way or another, the matches go a lot faster when I'm not wasting time booning.

Oh wait until the boon that lets you pick yourself up for free comes, I cant wait, sick of these greedy killers, you get 1 dc before even one gen is done and they wanna play so hardcore still, or ofc the part when its only 2 survivors but they wanna be greedy and down both if both is injured, finally a way to killing greedy slugging. I love that people dont expect me to use boon as a leon while they try tunnel the poor mikaleas and you be shocked that some mikaleas dont even run boon totems, they just use her for glam lol.

Yeah, during the event my friend went in as Mikaela with no boon perks and was getting tunneled while I went in as other characters with boon perks and laughed at him the whole time. It was great. I mean, he spent the whole time on the hook, but I was getting tons of points booning totems while the killer was busy with him, so I was happy.

Sorry to butt in here but I am a Twins main and I always have Charlotte and Victor in close proximity. This person here may not main Twins but they're not completely off base, this only ruins you if you are the type of Twins player who spams Victor, mass slugs and doesn't take adequate care of Charlotte's positioning

All those idiots on this forum that know it's OP and abuse them in all trials.
2 CoH in the game, there is a healing totem 100% of the time on the map. Impossible to hit anyone and run, they are all healed in 5 seconds (with the extra medkit).
I mean come on. They all came to take protection hits and ran to a boon and they were healed in 5 ######### seconds.
But yes, everything is okay, being fully healed in 5 seconds while the killer needed 30/45 seconds to get a hit is perfectly fine and fair.
All trials are like this, every ######### trials at high MMR.
But no worry, BHVR will now bring a boon totem doing like unbreakable but an infinite amount of time and for the whole team. Once again it's okay, it is situational.
Survivors are so confident that they don't even feel the need to cleanse the plaything totems...

2 CoH, one on one side of the map and the other one on the other side. So you snuff one, go for the other, snuff it and the first one is back again. So how do you take care of boons ? Especially when it takes 14 seconds to bless ? If it needed 50 seconds to bless okay but 14 seconds is nothing for 4 survivors, especially when they gain ton of time healing in there.

It's annoying. They come, take a protective hit, and then disappear again. 10 seconds later they stand in front of you again, fully healed. I now always take forced penance with me. That gives me at least a little time...
"just do boons" funny ... Had 4 survs with boons today. Now please someone explain to me how I should proceed against it? While everyone is repairing gens, I'm supposed to hunt totems?
Survs don't need deadhard or other exhausting perks. CoH + lucky break + iron will ... Not even nurses calling counters that when shadowstep is there...

Shadowstep should only show scratchmarks. The auras of CoH users should be shown to the killer, when they use it in a certain radius, around him. This would make CoH a high risk, high reward perk. If every surviver deserves selfcare, as 5 th perk, then every killer should get a nurse is calling. It would also give new value to off the record. A perk that barely anyone uses above IW.

Boons are crazy good right now. You get an infinite perk to reuse whenever you want to place it on a new totem. Killers have to use undying and whatever perk to save it with to even get a second use out of it. Once a killer hex is gone then that perk slot is useless. So why do survivors need to just having such a broken perk? I say this coming from an equal playtime on both sides. I love booning a totem, but hell the killer should be able to break the totem for good. The would be equal balance correct?

Effect is weak ? Being able to heal in 5 seconds and to infinitely replace it in 14 seconds is weak ? And when you have 1 boon on both sides of the map then what, do you hunt boons and once you snuff the second, the first one is back again.

Yes, moreover they were good survivors, they have played well as i did but there was nothing i could do.
They were heavily carried with boons, DH, Lithe etc... Without CoH, i would have got 2k sure, maybe 3k.

I don't think the boons are OP. You need to find first a totem. And that tooks sometimes a long time. So not really efficient on gens. The extra heal is cool but I really don't think is broken and OP.

Finding a totem is not difficult. Anyone who has been playing dbd for a while knows the places where totems are usually found. Survivors often spawn right in front of a totem

There is a huge difference being a solo killer having to hunt for 2 CoH during the whole game as they re-pop all the time and 4 survivors looking for 1 or 2 hex totems that are gone forever.
Let's the devs rework Devour Hope like every time the totem is cleansed, it will reappear somewhere else 20 seconds later. We will see what's your reaction :).
I can't handle new survivor mains that always think they know everything better than ppl with 2k hours on both sides.
If you find CoH balanced, it means you are a terrible DbD player and i'm pretty sure even abusing Meta perks you are still unable to escape on a regular basis.
Let me tell you, i escape 70%+ of the time in soloQ, most killers i face are doing 4,7 hooks average and for you it is balanced ?

And the high skill killer population is draining, thus, high skilled survivors are matched with lower, sometimes way lower skill level killers, they get stomped hardly, it's hugely concerning. If it continues like this, in 2 months there won't be any killer left.
And i'm pretty sure one of the next boon they will create is a 2000m2 area prove thyself with 30% increase speed... it will be a huge joke.

Yes that's true. Sometimes spawns a totem directly into your face. But when I see a mate with a map and running around and try to find a totem so he can finally cast his spell's, this time is gone. So still not efficient in my eyes.
In a SWF group it's for sure effective. But in my solo experience it's not really efficient.

Sorry, but these people aren't the problem either. If you can't even find totems with a map, you really don't have much game time.
And it doesn't need a swf. Any solo survivor with a little playtime and map knowledge can lead you to any spawn without tools or perks .
1
