Best teachables?

I'm a new player and I'm pretty sure I know my way around the game now, and have an understanding of how teachables work. I play almost entirely survivor and visually my favourites are jane, kate and yui, so I'd like to build them eventually and "main" them. (I currently only have the feng min and doctor DLC and i play feng the most right now.) My ideal playstyle is as like a "stealthy helper", someone who usually hides but can pull off rescues and chases etc when I need to. Which DLCs should I buy first for good teachables? Any help is appreciated 😀

You should not just hide. If you are not busy - you do the gens. Otherwise you won't be good at this game.

Good teachables for survivors (the meta): Iron Will (Jake), Unbreakable and Borrowed time (Bill), Dead Hard (David), Sprint Burst and Adrenaline (Meg), Decisive Strike (Laurie, requires Halloween DLC), Balanced Landing (Nea). The boons seem to become meta in SWF, but at the moment only Mikaela has them.

Iron Will and Spinechill are good for stealthy playstyle (spinechill is common), don't pick Urban Evasion though since it will teach you to play inefficiently.

If you want to be a stealthy helper then I think the Hour of the Witch DLC which contains Mikaela Reid would be perfect for you, she has Boon: Circle of Healing and Boon: Shadow Step

A Boon is a perk that can be activated by a Survivor by blessing a Dull Totem, Blessing this Totem will associate all Boon perks equiped by that Survivor to that Totem, and you will only receive the effects of those perks if within 24m of the Totem.

Boon: Circle of Healing, increases healing speed by 90/95/100% while within range, and even allows people to heal themselves without a med kit.

Boon: Shadow Step, hides your aura and scratch marks when within the Boon's range. This effect lingers for 2/3/4 seconds when leaving the Boons range.

These 2 perks are really good and sound like they would suit your playstyle perfectly!

Another teachable that Id recommend is Bond from Dwight Fairfield. A perk that allows you to see your teammates auras from 24/30/36m away. Not only does that provide you info on what theyre doing, but you can easily find them when theyre in a pinch.

And usually its always good to have at least one Exhaustion Perk, these consist of Sprint Burst, Balanced Landing, Lithe, Dead Hard, Head On and Smash Hit.

Since you already have Feng Min, Lithe is a pretty good choice and is already accessible.

    Hope this helps!

    • Quick and Quiet - Meg (you make no noise when doing fast vaults or quickly hiding in a locker
    • Iron Will - Jake (you produce zero grunts of pain when injured)
    • Borrowed Time - Bill (you can safely unhook teammates near the killer as they temporarily get another health state so they won’t go back down instantly)
    • Urban Evasion - Nea (your crouching speed is the same as your walking speed)

combine all of those and you’ll be a stealthy player who’s able to lose the killer during chase, but still able to help out your team and go for rescues

Stealth is not a viable option anymore. Also not like you need to hide from killer considering you as a survivor are the power role. Every second you spend in a game walking or crouching is waste. You need to be always running from one gen to another. So don't waste your time trying to make a stealth build. You'll come to realize that it was all a waste by the time you are done. The real perks you need are Decisive Strike from Halloween DLC, Unbreakable from Bill, Dead Hard from David and finally Circle of Healing from latest DLC.

Ok, so would a good build be: decisive strike, boon: circle of healing, borrowed time and lithe? thanks for all the help you guys 😄

That's solid. Personally I prefer Dead Hard or Sprint Burst over Lithe, but Lithe is perfectly fine as long as you identify a place to vault to trigger it.

Reviewing your preferences and considering you're new-ish and I reccomend this:

--Self-Aware-- (general perk: used to be Nancy's "Fixated" use to recover exhaustion while stealthy)

--Sprint Burst-- (Meg teachable) /OR/ --Lithe--(Feng teachable since you like her)

    --Kindred-- (general perk)

--choose a perk to finish your playstyle. Reccomend: --Windows of Opportunity--(Kate's teachable since you like her *and* it benefits your chase ability) /or/ --We'll Make It-- (general perk)

Or!! You can practice your stealth ability *without* using perks for it, and emphasize your goal to be helpful. Such as an hook save build, or general medic build.

My current favorite of such is:

    --Self Care (Claudette)

    --Botany Knowledge (Claudette)

    --Desparate Measures (Felix)

-- We'll Make It (general) /OR/ Circle of Healing (Mikaela) /OR/ Blood Pact (Cheryl)

However, since you're newer, you could try a medic build like this:

    --Botany Knowledge (Claudette)

    --We'll Make It (general)

--Kindred (general) /OR/ Empathy (Claudette) /OR/ Bond (Dwight) to easily find those to heal and stick with thru auras

What might be really good picks to start you off are We're Gonna Live Forever (David King) and BBQ & Chili (The Cannibal). Both of these perks are primarily used to increase the amount of bloodpoints you gain, making it easier to level up other characters and get their perks unlocked.

Although the game endorses stealth, it isn't a very viable playstyle and can hinder your team more than help them
