Any Advice for Nemesis?
I feel like I'm playing way worse then I normally do on other M1 killers, especially in T1.
It's not helping that for some reason, MMR decided to give me at least 1 BNP for all of the games I've tried to start learning him with.
I only got him yesterday, but I do think I'm getting better. I'd say my main issues right now are about gen pressure and overcommitting to chase.
any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Well heres my advice
Always use marvins blood it makes nemesis reach t2 much faster were he is much more threatening and as long as you level him as you play him you should get enough to use them quite sustainably especially if you get and use bbq on him
Be creative with the whip but understand its limitations, the whip is very powerful and even more so at certain tiles where you can hit the survivor over them, try and learn which tiles you can and can't hit over (when the survivor isn't crouching) and you can usually get an extra hit or two where you shouldn't or get a hit you should get much faster
Early game you should focus on getting out of t1 quickly since you are at your weakest there, kinda like myers
Thats all I got to offer

Sure. I played a lot of Nemesis for a while and got decently good with him.
A few things:
- Nemesis is all about his tentacle. Forget the zombies, if they do anything than that's fantastic but often they don't. Using the tentacle in the open will often get you juked; instead wait for them to drop a pallet or vault and hit them during the animation. There is a 'tech' (see: exploit) where a perfectly timed DH can prevent you hitting the survivor or breaking the pallet, but that's another discussion and you shouldn't see it much.
- That said, always M1 when you can against uninfected survivors.
- Get to M2 as quickly as you can. Kill zombies if you pass them.
- Nemesis is a fantastic pallet-buster. Bait out the pallet drop, break it with your tentacle and you can often resume chase fairly quickly, or at least burn through a lot of pallets really fast.
- His addons are mostly weak.
- Perks wise, I like Plaything+Retribution (Nemesis thrives on information and a stealthy Nemesis is just terrifying) and then either Discordance or BBQ and the slowdown perk of your choice. I like Pop, but a lot of killers still enjoy Ruin. Replacing Discord/BBQ with Oppression is also a solid build that a lot of streamers seem to like.
- Keep at it! He's a lot harder to learn than you'd expect, as missing tentacle strikes mid-chase can be very unforgiving.
I've really started to lean away from CI these days, as even survivors at my intermediate level have just started hiding, doing totems and waiting it out. More often than not it feels like Lethal Pursuer is my go-to for early pressure/infections.

Some less obvious/more advanced tips:
One of the best things about his tentacle is that its damage box lingers for a third of a second. Sometimes survivors will just run into it in that time, but what you really want to do and what I assume Bloodshade is also referring to with "dragging hits" is strafing left or right while unleashing tentacle strikes. This technique allows you to increase the tentacle's hitzone a lot and make a lot more hits happen. It's especially good to strafe hits around corners since most survivors will not see it coming.
If a survivor is not already infected and playing a pallet, it is not seldomly beneficial to try and actually avoid hitting that survivor with your tentacle and break the pallet instead. If the survivor gets infected they get a speed boost and can potentially leave the tile, however if you just break the pallet with your M2 you might very well guarantee a down with an M1. In order to do this, you want to aim for the very corner of the pallet, such that even if the survivor vaults it, the tentacle will impact on the pallet first, breaking it. You can also aim next to the pallet and then again drag your tentacle into it, which will also ensure it registers on the pallet before it can a survivor vaulting it. Usually you will only want to do this if the survivor is already injured, but if you have Save The Best For Last or an Exposed perk of any kind active, this can obviously also be beneficial against healthy survivors. Keep in mind that sometimes it is still better to infect the survivor in these scenarios even if they are already injured, depending on what they have available other than that dropped pallet, because if you cannot follow it up quickly with an M1 and the chase continues, obviously you will be much more threatening if the survivor is already infected.
In order to hit survivors over obstacles with your tentacle as reliably as possible, you want to stand as close to those obstacles as possible.
Enduring is a great perk on Nemesis. Since you can destroy pallets quickly and get easy hits on survivors on dropped pallets with your tentacle, you really want to force them into scenarios where they are trapped at a dropped pallet. Without Enduring, the stun time can allow them to make it to another tile, which is why good survivors try their best to get a stun on Nemesis. With Enduring, you can not only get the pallet dropped asap, but then the survivor also won't regularly be able to make it anywhere else and is forced to play that pallet on which you can then hit or zone them really well. You can add Spirit Fury into the mix for fun, but it's not really needed.

The Build:
- Discordance
- Ruin
- Tinkerer
- Undying
- No addons because we will be playing like a MAN
The playstyle:
Start the game just as normal, go to a far away gen and look for survivors (if discordance doesnt pop first), when you find them u have to make a decision, you either hit them with a whip or hit them with M1, getting to stage 2 is pretty important and will take you 2 hits on non infected survivors to get you there, but sometimes its better to just M1 so you dont waste too much time.
When nobody is infected think of your power as Michael's Evil Within, you probably wanna use it when u can't land a normal hit such as across pallets and windows, also if u are not very confident of landing the whip, only use it in corners and easy to hit areas, not the open ones.
As the game goes on you should constantly consider if its a good time to whip (and give them an extra speed boost) or to just M1. For me i find it more threatening to use the whip as an ensurance to damage them on places i normally wouldnt rather than spamming it and making my gameplay super predictable...

Otz did a pretty decent job of going through his findings and tactics when he did his 50 win kill streak a while back. It might be helpful. Look up "Otzdarva nemesis" on YouTube, and it should be the first video.
