Jane's lore has always had her being a Latinx woman (typecast as the "sassy Mexican" in acting roles), and even before her, Ace is listed as an Argentinian of Italian descent.
And before this, the Trickster was called "the first killer to speak" when Plague has been speaking the whole time.

Well the first one isn't entirely wrong, since she was never explicitly Mexican. But then again neither is Jonah as far as any in-game lore we've seen so far so???

Journalists said the same thing about Elsa being the first Disney princess who didn't need a man to save her.
As if magic ice powers are somehow better than defending China (Mulan) or fighting for freedom (Merida/Brave). Take their opinions with a grain of salt and assume it's blatantly false.

Gaming "journalists" rarely make any research at all, they are paid by bulk so they resort to pump out the maximum amount of articles they can write, even if they are wrong, after all most readers are not familiar with wathever they write.
I remember there was this article where they listed the best maps for DBD as Killer and Haddonfield was first or second spot (I dont think Haddonfield is THAT bad for Killer but it isnt a Killer sided map).
