Does the Nurse feel sympathy for the survivors?

So many people have told me she feels “sorry” for her victims and I’ve never truly understood why. Can someone please help me or share their view on it? ✨

Well, while she was alive she was a nurse in an insane asylum, and actually tried to be good one. She cared for people.
    Then one day, she snapped.

Nurses Calling helps her find the injured people. It would be as helpful to someone looking to save people as much as hurt them.

Her Mori ends with her gently closing the eyes of the people she kills. In a strange way it seems like she is trying to rescue survivors by killing them and trying to free them from the entity.

Meanwhile the Entity keeps her basically hung by the neck her entire existence. Her neck is obviously broken, or badly damaged, and she can't breathe well, so there is some leverage make her keep sacrificing.

Thank you 💖 I’ve always been super confused by the concept that she had sympathy. That really helped! 😄

Maybe the survivors would have an easier time escaping if they remembered their safe words
