About being looped.

I am down to rank 5 on Xbox again. Returned to the old get messaged after every game aura that I loved before....not. This is why I deranked and never tried getting back here until recently just going with the flow.

Some survivors are so good at running in a loop around something with a pallet. That they seem to create an interesting situation for the killer. Either break the chase, OR keep running in that circle until you DO get hit by that pallet and they run to the next one. These aren't the survivors who stop by pallets or drop them early for a little space. They know exactly when they're going to hit you or if you're going to hit them. They CAN infinitely loop me if they have available pallets....

I am wondering how in the world are you supposed to deal with them in games where they can all do this? Your gens already get ran through so insanely fast. How are you supposed to down let alone kill multiple people when this happens.

i suck at been looped....tunnelled is the worst, but hey if that's how they wish to do it, i mean who wins? Killers gain less blood points from looping, face camping...

Honestly I try to run with killers that don't need to keep the chase, just hit back off let them get to where they are vulnerable and come back in for the down. Note I am a freddy main so this is even easier especially if you run M&A, nurses, or insidious (im running insidious 3 cause i dont have nurses or M&A).
Actually my current build on freddy it Remember, whispers, insidious, and bitter

You ignore the survivor and find the bad one in the team that doesnt know how to loop. Use him as bait for the better survivors.

This or you just derank

Unfortunately, with most killers, there's nothing much you can do against 4 survivors that can loop with high efficiency. The most you can do is use killers who can counter this, but that removes half the killers from your list. Hag and Trapper can stop one loop, but then they'll just run off to the next one. Doctor and Clown can screw up their loop timing, but they'll usually also be smart enough to just drop pallet or move on early against these killers to avoid getting hit. Huntress gets looped for longer, but once you're good with her, she's more likely to get a hit at the end of the loop. Spirit can turn loops into a battle of wits, but there's a chance your attempts to mind game the survivor will end up with them mindgaming you. Nurse and Legion are the only killers that can truly counter the chain pallet/vault looping gameplay of highly skilled survivors.

Feels like Huntress was supposed to use her hatchets to help end loops earlier, but good lick throwing over what's being looped reliably .

Pallets & windows can add to the looping but not impossible to deal with on their own. The real problem is the collision with a loops wall. Had a meg loop so well that I could not gain any ground because if I tried following the exact path the wall would snag me. I am all for the designed methods but losing out because killers are just bigger is horrible. Yes breaking chase is an option, but that should be when a survivor gains a lead in chase, not because your able to sustain a lead indefinitely.

You leave the survivor that is good at looping, and try to find 1 that is not that good and remove him of the game as fast as possible. You can try to mindgame them, but a good lopper will watch behind them a lot of times and avoid being mindgamed.

if all 4 of them are good at looping, then you just bend and let them do you(unless you are playing some unloopable killer like Nurse)

You can’t fall for the bait. If they seem to be good a loops and find a great loop spot such as the meat tree on the farm maps, the Ironworks loop, or the Red Forest shack loop...break the chase. If you don’t have Ruin, you’ll get demolished easily. Gens get done quickly and you can’t waste your time on the colorful Nea when the immersed Claudettes are fixing generators.

Always break the pallet asap unless the loop is small and you can mindgame easily.
Most long chases are long because killers refuse to break the pallet.

You have to get other players to use the pallets or catch these guys in a bad spot. Some pallets you have to break immediately, some you can leave but need to come back and break it, others you can just leave there (though I never leave them bc free points!). If you are getting looped endlessly though chances are you are either being mindgamed enough for them to make distance or you are respecting pallets.

I almost never respect pallets I just go through them, Most of the time you can get a hit by doing that and it makes survivors less likely to do that extra loop when you chase them again. They will cut the loop short by 1 and wait at the pallet, so you swing through the pallet. Now they will be trying to hit you with a pallet so you can start respecting pallets as a way to get them to waste them. If you scare a survivor enough and condition them to drop the pallet early, they will drop it early. Sometimes it you read the drop you can just go around the loop as if you are going right for bloodlust. That scares survivors that drop the pallet because they did it in a panic and if they do that and see you just going right for bloodlust they will panic and mess up more.

Confused survivors are scared survivors. Scared survivors screw up. Survivors that screw up die.

I am guilty of respecting pallets somewhat. Problem for me is they will just blast off to another pallet if they stun me. The other survivors do so much on the gens in the shortest little chases its not even funny. Then if they all can do that same function as good as eachother im like screwed entirely.

My style is to always break the pallets. Even when its a bad play. I just can't resist it and I don't mind it because even when its the wrong move I know I removed its potential usefullness later.

Perhaps walkling into pallets with the stun perk is needed at higher rank?

Yes enduring helps tons. And combined with spirit fury, you will suprise them and catch them before they make it to the next pallet loop.

I think some of the maps need to be fixed because they can do an infinite loop and you can't catch them while they waste your time and the other survivors do gens. Some of the maps are really bad and every 4 meters there is a place to loop which should be changed.

If you get them to waste 3 or more pallets per gen, it's sometimes worth the trade. If they 3 gen themselves, or you run an end game build, or just get a a good snowball going, not having enough pallets to get away from you can make a huge difference.

I will always take shack pallet if I can get them to drop it because it can make such a huge difference, especially if your basement is there. The only time it's not worth doing is when the gates are powered.

This. Drives me insane watching streamers play Killer and NOT swing through pallets when they could be getting hits. Take the damn swing.

One of my favourite combos for looping is Spirit Fury with Enduring. If you're on an M1 killer.

Best of all the first time spirit fury pops off no one knows you have it so you instantly catch them and get a hit.

And the rest of the wood you eat has a lower stun time. It working on DS also is a nice side benefit.

I think alot depends on what killer you are using.

    Some get looped to death.

Very true, The killers I like to play are the ones who get looped for days, which is unfortunate.

If you don't respect the pallets chases will take less time. As a survivor i can prolong the chase thanks to killers who respect pallets.
Also, i always run Spirit fury + Enduring on killers who struggle with pallets.

Sure but ther is some palets save as heaven wher not all killers can do nothing like only break becose surv always menage to junp other side. This is just sad i need take 1or3 perks to fighy with multum palets.

@ASurvkillivorer the higher ranks you're at, the more slots you have to devote to anti looping perks.Yes, if you want to down and hook enough times to pip, you have to sacrifice BBQ (which is not that useful for anything else than the grind) and, depending on your killer, Ruin. Against a group of rank 1-s you often can't even give up one target who's a great looper, because the next one may be just as skilled.

I'd suggest eating through pallets, using antiloops like Endurance, Spirit Fury and Bamboozle, and get used to the thought that even if you're doing good, two generators will probably pop by the time you first hook someone.

What I do in addition to that, is try to lead the chase to somewhere where I can have the best possible 3 gen setup later on. Not always possible, and even when you succeed at that, it may not work out, but as far as I can tell, that's your best shot.

But with those 1 or 3 perks you are basically making safe survivors zones useless. You gotta build around each killer and playstyle.
Right now i'm playing as Freddy at red ranks with 2 builds:
For farming: Bbq, brutal strenght, monitor and ruin
If i mean serious business: ruin, enduring, spirit fury and monitor.
I'm getting MINIMUM 2 kills per match with the farming build, plus several DCs 😂
Also, being a survivor main helps a lot when playing as a killer, i know exactly what they are going to do.
PS: quote me, otherwise i don't get any notification.
Btw @Raccoon and @PhantomMask20763 what builds do you guys use on Freddy? I'm having so much fun with these 2 builds from above.

I'm now rank 3. HOW in the world is DCing more common at this rank!?

If I use a Black Ward. Seems like it strongly encourages people to quit. Use a hidden offering....ppl are gonna quit. Just had a 4man team all DC because we got the institute as pig. Funny, the sneak is my least utilized killer function in the entire game so jokes on them.
