Do you guys think tinkerer is op?
ngl tinkerer should get nerfed in some way especially with ruin undying meta but i dont know what that nerf should be what do you guys think? (edit) im not saying tinkerer is by far the most op perk ever and shpuld be nerfed into oblivion im saying it has insane synergy with the best perks in the game and maybe should just have a tiny tweak and my god its not that deep guys just a simple question/ suggestion

Big NAHHH... I would also put in a "git Gud" but tbh, it's actually a fairly balanced perk and deserves some respect. You may hate it all you want, but in the current survivor meta, it doesn't do much. Against noob players it's definitely a travesty, but against decent-good-god survivors, it's not even worth equipping. So, does it deserve a nerf?... NAHHHHHH, IMO. 😘

i dont entirely disagree dont get me wrong but ruin undying even with boons is still op especially if you have a drop chase playstyle to defend every tinkerer

i dont hate i just think it kinda carries if ruin undying is in a weird spot thats a pain to find especially in solo q i personally dont like the fact that perks carry and this goes for both sides seeing i play both equally

if youre solo with bots and an already strong killer with carry perks like ruin undying tink "do bones" is a little unrealistic

This will probably be a hot take but unless you are a mobile enough Killer or very experienced, its usually not worth running both Ruin and Undying. Better to do Ruin Pop.

If the killer drop the chase you reset in 16 sec because of boon so he lost all is pressure so its good for you

Ruin Pop I think is much stronger than Ruin Undying on Killers of equal skill level precisely because of the stability.

yeah thats sweet and all but thats beside the point i dont care about getting injured because of tink i think its just weird that it activates infinitely when perks like ruin exist and you can just indefinitely regress the gen

On its own its a perfectly fine perk, its just the crazy synergy it has with Ruin that makes it a problem.

I don't really think it's fine right now. Maybe make Tinkerer activate once on each gen? I think that's fair.

I don't think so but it falls in the pretty big list perks that have counters but people just don't bother.
When the third piston of a gen starts moving you should always expect tinkerer except proven that the killer doesn't have it.
And once you know they have it start doubling up on gens. it takes 14 seconds to finish the last 30% with 2 people and when the killer arrives they can only commit to one of you. The other one can easilly finish the gen
If you are in swf comms it's even easier as you can still split up and just time it so multiple tinkerer triggers happen. No matter their mobility killers can only pressure one place (with the exception of nemesis but he doesn't have mobility)

Ds has counter. Hit again. Old MoM has counters.. hit again. Boon totems have counter too, hit agains. Every surv perk has the same counter

Ruin is all about luck for killer are you lucky enough for the survivor not to spawn on ruin or just having ruin far from the gen. Tinkerer at least is not about luck and you are sure it will always stay active.
I think the best counter is to always expect tinkerer just like killer always expect power struggle and head on

Yes, head on is the same that make the killer know 24 secs before a gen is done and give him undetectable status

The issue with Tinkerer is how overpowered its synergy can be with Nurse and Blight and Ruindying. I personally think the issue here is Tinkerer. While it's not OP by itself, it's sure as hell broken with the above three.

Tinkerer with pop on most killers is fine.
Tinkerer with ruin on most killers is fine too.
Its only problematic on nurse and blight but people starting to learn how to play against it most of the time, unless the killer has very strong map on top of that too.
It is annoying with ruin undying on blight and nurse? Yes especially in solo queue. But OP? I dont think so.
Boon meta is on and even if you dont use boons yourself, many others do or they at least interact with totems a lot every game. I think hexes were semi nerfed with boons just cause they forcing people to focus on totems and learning totem spots more and more.
And lets say we nerf tinkerer so it activates just once per gen. Can you as a killer imagine using it still? It would be worthless, not meta worthy and instead of current tinkerer ruin undying we would see more corrupt ruin undying

Im not saying its the same in the effect aspect im only saying you should expect tinkerer in every killer build and play around the perk just like killer do with certain perk.
Its not like as a survivor you need to remember a lot of info and you can know more or less what the build the killer use in the first 5 second of a match.

Tinkere is fine. It's an information perk that tells you useful information. Unless you are a mobile killer you can't really control if you can interupt the gen before it is finish. I've seen killers who over commit to every tinkerer proc leading them to get no hooks.
If survivor split and get multiple tinkerer procs at the same time even blight will not be able to stop multiple gens at once.

It's okay by itself but it's only really strong with other slowdown which is how most people use it (and I don't blame them).
I don't think it's overpowered but if I was going to nerf it in any way I would just put a 30 second cooldown on it activating twice on the same generator.

thats actually a good idea i like that one even tho i think that could be more like a 20 sec cooldown tho because i wouldn't wanna nerf tinkerer to hard because on its own its fine

I agree with that. Ruin/Undying is making tinkerer a bit too strong right now, especially when certain killers use it- Yes, I'm looking at you Blight.

This along with Discordance just provide too good of information to a killer with no downside, in my personal opinion. Throw in there the undetectable effect with Tinkerer for free, stealthy gen defense.

The downside is it's a limited time window to act on and if you can't it's not giving you information you wouldn't have gotten when the gen completes (where the survivors were). Discordance requires the survivors to do a particular thing to activate it. So they do have their downsides.

I'm still trying to figure out how people want this nerfed. I play solo and I rarely see this perk. When I do I find it hilarious when a killer comes out of no where and I scream "Holy Hell" or "Ahhh #########". I could see why noobs hate it but they hate everything.

Okay, I'm not sure what you are talking about. It sounds like you had a rough game or two and decided to blame it on a perk.
Tinkerer is fine. There is nothing about the perk that is overpowered or problematic. It's not even a meta perk. There are better info perks out there.
Ruin/Undying isn't as strong as it used to be. It's a streaky, 'win more' perk combo that has a strong impact when it works, and turns out to be two wasted perk slots when it doesn't. I'm finding Pop+Oppression to be a way more consistent regression tool, but these days I'm having more luck with pure, early aggression than regression. Regression barely helps in games you are already losing.
But okay, let me see if I can help.
A big part of what separates 'good' survivors from 'okay' survivors is the ability to figure out what perks the killer is using.
- If he's hitting people and recovering much faster than usual, he has STBFL. Get the obsession to distract him.
- If he's one shotting people getting out of lockers, he has Iron Maiden. Don't use lockers.
- If he is constantly finding you when you are working on a gen with friends, he has Discordance. Split up.
- If he is constantly ambushing without a terror radius when you are about to finish a gen, he has Tinkerer. Note your escape route before getting a gen to that point and be ready. Don't repair gens injured. Pay attention to audio queues.
- If he has a 'blank spot', expect NOED. 2 = NOED+NWO.
Once you know what perks he has, you can easily play around them.

nah i didnt have any rough games i just think tink should have a cooldown or something because its incredibly oppressive in the current meta not on its own but if theyre arent going to change ruin then i think tink should have a small cd and im speaking from both side i play both equally and i have alot of hours im talking from pure game balance imo i think they should take all the top perks on both sides AND NERF TF OUTTA THEM and then make all the bad perks alot better and bring everything to a decently equal level so that we see some actual perk variety

No, that perk can make you jumpscare one time when you don't know the killer have it equiped, but as long as you know that perk is present you only have to stay aware of the surronding and the sounds. If you are still having a hard time against killers with the perk then just equip Spine Chill.
