PC or Upgraded Console?
Hi friends!
So I have an Xbox One S with over 4k hours, but as we all know, console performance can be a real pain in the booty so I'm hoping to get a better platform to play on.
Is the Xbox Series X worth getting? (Idk if there's any on stock)
- It's much cheaper than a PC
- My progress would be transferred
- Performance would be better than my current Xbox... I hope
Or is a PC the ultimate choice?
- Better performance than consoles
- PTB access
- Cross-progression has not been implemented yet :(
If anyone with an XSX can share their experience, I'd appreciate it. I play with friends who have both XSX's and PC's so I'm somewhat torn on my decision here.

It's a pretty bad time to build and buy a PC due to GPU prices, so I'd pick up the Series X. If you have those stacks of cash, then sure, go for the PC, it's way better than console in every way, but I'd go for the Series X for now.

I play on Xbox one for my first year and a half and in June I believe I bought a Series S and all my problems went away. Loading time near instant, no frame drops, etc. I had to upgrade to a series because there is no ######### way I would restart my progress.

If you can get a Series X, especially since you can transfer over progress, get the X. Gamepass exists, and it's an incredibly solid console with good performance regardless. PC has the advantage of M+K, filters, and the ability to uncap FPS and play on low shadows, but due to it's price and difficulty building them, consoles are the best option for budget builds. If you can get one, ofc.

Oh really? That sounds amazing.
Restarting all my progress would be a living hell so at least we have the opportunity to keep it.

PC. 100% but wait until the price gouging goes way down. For now, get the console.

I would say pc but I don't know what you plan on doing with your system. In the long run pc would be best but it's a bad market rn. I've heard people say the best thing to do is buy a pre built just for the graphics card but idk. Definitely do your own due diligence on whatever you plan on doing.

Thenl choice of PC or Console should be based on significantly more than just one game.
How much do you want to pay?
What games do you want access to?
What else do you want to do with it?
What type of experience do you want?
Etc.
Neither is a wrong choice, it is all personal preferences in the end. The tribe members will act like they are two totally different things, but in the end they are just machines you play on.

PC master race hands down, 120 FPS constant, keyboard/mouse 0 input lag, custom graphics. Way better to play killer.

And no Cross Progression, nor is it likely to ever come. So in going to PC there's not only that actual purchase, but to buy the game again, buy the DLC's again, and then any wanted cosmetics as well. And the best part: relevel every character from scratch.
Who with thousands of hours into this game and whatever monies spent would start all over again? You know the grind.

You got a point.

It's kinda funny that even though Series X prices are through the roof, it's still cheaper than a good PC.

Define "good"
I'm pretty sure you could get a PC with superior hardware for a lower price.

Not with the chip shortage.
The Series X is supposed to be 500 USD, you can't build a 4K PC for that little.
