Is Sloppy Butcher even worth using nowdays?
I feel like it is hight risk / not that big reward situation because if the team has good med-kits or just CoH Boon then it is just worthless perk.

It's good on Console because it freezes people's games when you get hit.
The ethics of this are....questionable.

Not after coh.

it still does? lol I remember hearing about this issue like a year ago or even older than that.

Unless you need the extra tracking from the blood pools I don't think so. Forced Penance basically does its job better these days but even then I wouldn't think about using that on anyone but the Twins since they get a lot of mileage of out keeping people injured.

I remember playing Freddy with it on original Xbox one. I’m pretty sure 60% of my chases were cut short due to it
2 -
No, it only adds 4 seconds to a heal. But with CoH you'll never get any value of it other than the occasional blood tracking
1 -
No. Sloppy Butcher is for either a hit and run playstyle that wants survivors to stay injured longer, or for one that hopes to provide slowdown by making heals take longer than normal. CoH kills both of these things.
4 -
It's been an unfortunate problem since at least 2018, from what I can remember.
0 -
It increases the self heal of CoH to 20 seconds from 16 seconds
It increases the healing of others in CoH to 10 seconds from 8 seconds
0 -
If you pair it with nurses and monitor it may buy enough time to take advantage of a person focused on healing. Hag in particular can be effective as her terror radius is small. I should add hex plaything is strong with this build.

There’s no “risk“ in Sloppy. Because it’s very easy to apply, it’s fine how it is. Could try Coulrophobia and Distressing.
0 -
No. It's a dead perk since CoH.
0 -
Well the risk is that the perk would be almost worthless if they CoH or good med-kits, etc. Aka wasted perk slot for nothing.
1 -
You're still applying the 20% healing speed penalty, regardless of those things.
0 -
I use it on Oni all the time because it makes more blood orbs spawn.
0 -
They are still slower healing then without it.
If anything it's gotten slightly more usefull since CoH cause people are actually healing now where they didn't bother unless absolutly necesarry before.
1 -
Heck no.
0 -
Actually it doesn't make more blood orbs spawn. Two of his add-ons allowed him to increase frequency and orbs drops.
0 -
I know It doesn't make more spawn but it makes them spawn longer.
0 -
Nope. Outdated perk.
0 -
It helps Oni a bit. The more time it takes for a survivor to heal, the more blood orbs they spawn.
0 -
With COH existing, no, not really.
If you get lucky and nobody has COH, then it's okay like it was before.
0 -
i've gone against sloppy a few times since COH has been out, and it does almost nothing.
before COH, it was a really solid perk. nowadays, no. it's a joke with COH.

Sloppy Butcher has been falling out of meta for a while. Since toolbox nerf and now key nerf, med-kits have just been becoming more ideal to run as items and they already trivialize healing speeds. Even then We'll Make It has always been just out of meta as it's a good perk but struggles to beat out meta perks.
I can say that even before CoH, I was asking myself if Sloppy was worth running because the few times I experimented with it on builds it didn't seem to really impact that survivors would heal up before I could interrupt them anyways.

I think it has its uses. Definitely a perk that i still see in my games when i play Survivor.

Sloppy Butcher has been in a though spot for a while, even before I left the game.

The problem is that before CoH, unless survivors had We'll Make It or medkits (the former being underutilized and the latter being a finite source), a heal would waste 40 seconds total; either two survivors spending 20 seconds or one self-caring with 40. This is why hit and run tactics used to be good slowdown and now they're not; Sloppy still makes injuries take longer, but it's half of what 'longer' used to be. CoH lets people heal themselves at medkit speed - 20 seconds for one survivor, 10 for each if there's two. 32s + 8s wasn't a bad deal; 16s + 4s isn't worth the perk slot, and Circle of Healing is absolutely everywhere so you're probably getting the 16 + 4 in any given match.

Yea... cause if you do get a Hit on a Survivor they will either run to the COH spot or stay injured (more dependency on where COH is) and it takes time to do it and get healed up
0 -
I'd say useful on the stealth killers since you can sneak up and combo it with Nurses calling works really well
1 -
exactly why I don't run it.
0 -
When does it have uses? Coh counters it immediately with very little effort what's the point of using if when every single game their Is atleast one person running both boons
0 -
It helps against both boons. 20% slower healing speed and haemorrhage to track blood trails.
0 -
I'm really not trying to be rude but you realize 20% slower healing does nothing against 100% faster healing right?
3 -
ya gotta do what ya gotta do
0 -
Are you able to confirm it’s not additive? Similar to the changes made to Stridor and Iron Will.
0 -
100% isn't thats why I said it does nothing you can test it yourself
Coh completely counters sloppy just like iron will completely counters stridor its a garbage change and makes the perk useless just like stridor
0 -
It's been completely power crept, can't you see? There's a million better alternatives.
