Game should be FORCED to be longer
I don't even care, give each survivor 6 hook stages, make all gens take twice as long, put pallet into every single tile you can, make exist gates opening takes 2 minutes, anything.
This isn't serious post obviously but honestly, who likes short games.
I'm sooooo bored of short games (less then 8 min) for any reason on any side, be it survivor or killer.

It depends.
Sometimes, if I'm up against a particularly stompy group, I'll be happy to have a short game and to just move onto the next one.

I kind of feel the same there. If I'm getting heavily beaten in a match I would much rather it was over quickly and go on to the next match.
I tend to enjoy quick matches though, the more fast paced the better for me, I don't enjoy slow matches - I also really don't enjoy matches where survivors are just hiding all the time, they draw out the match so much and I love the chases too much when playing as either role.

As with everything, context is king.
If it's a brutal war of attrition, it can certainly be fun. I know that sometimes I'll give survivors a chance if they get an early DC - but I'm told 'just end next time' as often as I'm thanked.
I think the only time it's really frustrating is on maps like Badham or Haddonfield where you just end up going where survivors aren't and they are using PTS+BNP and you see 3 gens pop before you even get a chase. Now that can be irritating, especially when I've splurged for streamers and some fancy addons.

Here I'll totally agree. A more robust gesture system even, as suggested by others, to help work around language issues.
I've also suggested some sort of artificial MMR inflation for SWF groups, say a temporary 1.1x multiplier for playing in a 2man, a 1.3 for a 3man and a 1.6 for a 4man. It would mean that these groups at least get a stronger killer to offset the benefits of increased coordination and information sharing. This also frees up lower MMR killers for solo groups.

I think 7-10 minutes is the sweet spot. Longer than 10 is too long. 15-20 minutes is zzzz territory

But don't you go into another game and do the exact same thing ? I mean, I do get bored with drawn out games too but if there's more action packed into single game that it warrants that time, why not.
Games that bore me the most are around 5 min or less that basically are survivors holding M1 in early game, a bit of normal gameplay for the 4th gen and unless killer does something insane or survivors insanely dumb, 5th gen is free, leave and repeat with almost no chases at all.

It's something most other games to, to ensure fairer matches. I think it would work well in the context of DbD.

I wish matches had a time limit of 20 minutes. At 20 minutes game just ends - survivors left in match don't receive escape points and killer doesn't receive kill points for those survivors, it's a draw. Honestly think same for EGC, just have game end in draw instead of being used as tool for kills.

Game forced to be long, as Killer should able to get 2 kills at around 8-10 hooks, as the first survivor to die should be at least 60% of total match time. Where everyone has equal chance to play a 10-15min long match.

I just want multiple hooks and chases :/ it's all I want.... not allowed it at my level of play though. Im even forced into the perks I have to use to try balance the game.

I don't think the natural gameplay loop of DbD lends itself to a more lengthy trial. I don't care so much about the engagement aspect since I view DbD as more of a sprint than a marathon for both sides. If I can blast through gens in 5 minutes and leave, it's still reasonably fun. If I'm in a 15 minute game, people simply aren't doing objectives effectively on either side. It's just bad and boring to me.

Would be nice if there was some match longevity beyond "total collapse of survivors' ability to do gens after one hook".
It's a pretty lopsided experience if the outcome of a chase ending in a down can be, often enough, "Well I guess the game is basically over now" after the first chase.

The best one is when I'm solo or mayne with one other, we're on one side of the map, and our teammates are in the other side. One of them is downed and hooked, and their Kindred shows them screw around and attempt to bodyblock/flashlight save/loop aroumd the hook shenanigans whatever. Now both are down and hooked side by side and not even a gen is completed yet.
Hard not to want that match done and buried and forgotten at that point.

That’s not why solo Q is bad though?
Do you think communication is going to force survivors to do gens, take hits, save before second phase etc?

The simple act of knowing who's being chased, or healing another, or going for the unhook, or pounding out that last gen will def make solos more efficient. It's what Kindred is supposed to cause when survs are smart. Supposed to.
All we can do is get more tools provided. Can't make people use em sadly...

Yep, exactly my point. Many times all Kindred does is make players upset because it's one thing for survivors not to do ANYTHING while not seeing each other's auras, another to see them do NOTHING while they see each other.
At that point I just let go of the hook. There is no point in playing with teammates like that.

Had a 20 min game because I did a god tier 3gen lock and refused to chase them away from the gens. Strange that they started to dc and accuse me of holding the game hostage because I wouldn't let them repair the last gen
