Well I fold
I just can't play this anymore. The issues are just too bad. Consistent performance ruining chases and basically every other aspect of a match. Hackers every few games. Hit Validation. The map offering last second switching SWF every other match. NFTs. Ddosing. I have played since late 2017, right at 4 years, and have around 5K hours, 2500 last year alone during quarantine. Through the pallet vacuums, old ds, the Ochido days I managed to deal with the bullshit and keep playing but it finally broke me. If performance is improved I'll probably play again but until then, enjoy your times in the fog, I know I'll enjoy my time away. And shout out to the legend Pulsar for being a console revolutionist. Later peeps

The problem with these threads is that most people who say they quit are still playing the game.
3 -
Do you have the tell everyone?
2 -
Wish I had no clue what you said. Man I am getting old.
1 -
Yeah the performance has been so bad for me too. I try to suffer through it cause I still love this game.

this forums whole point is giving feedback.
if someone is quitting the game it is a lot more beneficial to everyone if they make a post here explaining why they left, because that allows the Devs to see why people are quitting, which in return allows them to work on improving those aspects of the game that are driving players away.
12 -
But if it's feedback shouldn't it be in feedback section?
1 -
yes.
but lets be honest, no one ever posts there xD
thats why the mods are so busy moving posts around all the time...
5 -
The leaves fall off one at a time. Eventually they'll have to kick it into gear and make this game worth the time people invest into it.

Welcome to the land of exile, my friend.
Here, we shall plan our coup...I mean, hope for the game to get fixed eventually!
Yes, that is definitely what we should do.
3 -
Take a break, come back when you start feeling pangs or there's a new perk/killer/map you like the look of.
That's one of the best things about gaming as a hobby - there are thousands of other games to play.
1 -
Devs don't care and I'd wager that most people on the forums don't care.
1 -
If no one here cares, why are you still here?

I don't care if OP quits. What does that have to do with me being on the forums? We get enough of these posts everyday.
0 -
the Devs do care.
and this is feedback that is mostly meant for the Devs, so if most users on here dont care, thats not OPs concern nor does it matter.
and i'll have to ask you the same question as @JPA did above: if you dont care about this topic, then why are you participating in this discussion? all you have to do is to simply not care about it and ignore it, yet here you are.
3 -
If we get multiple of these posts everyday, then I suppose it shows you that there are plenty of people who feel that way, and probably more that don't care.
I mean if someone new joined, this is the place for them to ask questions. I think it also makes sense this is the place people can post before they leave and sign off, but then you get people like you that wanna give 'em a last bit of toxicity before they leave the DBD community
1 -
Do the forums not have a feedback section? I would leave but these pesky notifications.
0 -
Feedback section makes sense for some specific feedback, but for a general post like this, which might cover a broad range of issues, I think "General Discussions" is fine.
Also, all of the OPs reasons for leaving have already been identified as an issue and widely discussed. So a post like this makes less sense in the feedback forums, if you ask me.
0 -
they have.
this also belongs there - but the general trend on this forum is that everyone posts everything in General Discussions, meaning the mods are quite busy moving posts from A to B (the general misconception here being that Feedback and Suggestions was a "dead" subforum and no one ever looked there (which ofc isnt actually true), so if you wanted to voice your opinion on something you'd have to put it here in General Discussions instead).
and if you wish to avoid those notifications (so engaging debates) on posts you dont care about in the future, all you have to do is not comment on them in the first place - i doubt anyone here is going to @ you to them randomly.

I took a break at just before Twins launch because of how bad things had gotten\were getting; then came back when I got caught up in the Nemesis hype... yea that patch was an awful mess too and still not made any progress on fixing the performance issues from that patch, just introduced new ones with the following updates - and added more DLC since which brought more problems with them too :')

i quit for 4 months then came back for a month and quit right now. There's no excitement same old DBD. They try to make it seem new but it isn't doesn't matter if there's new killers or perks it's always the same old meta with survivors nerfing killers by being babies on here. No challenge to this game whatsoever why play.
1 -
my thoughts exactly.

About 10 days later, fully quit killer. Play Surv. Maybe twice a day before I'm done. Been playing Re-Reckoning (free on ps plus still peeps should get it, really fun if you like old school Fable-esque RPGs) and Hitman 2. Not that many care as some have stated, just voicing my opinions and all cus it feels good to be able to voice complaints or talk about the game considering none of my irl friends play it.

I was this close to making the first 2 lines the title when I made the thread

VHS closed beta is out now. Worth trying to get a key to scratch that 4vs1 itch. It’s a different game but does so much right that DBD does so wrong and it already has features we’ve been waiting 4+ years for.

I'm sure some go back to it quickly but I guarantee many do not, some like myself stay on the forums for a little while because of habit, boredom, or an intention to come back in the future if things change in a favorable way towards the individual. I'll probably never come back at this point purely because the amount that would need to change for me to come back will likely never happen but I used to be pretty active on the forums even though I haven't played or had the game installed for months now, I come back just to get a state of the community as well as when I get bored with Twitter or something

The people who make these threads have "main character syndrome" and they think the world revolves around them and their actions. They think anyone actually cares. It's kinda like being in a random match of Cod and having a rando says he's leaving the lobby cuz "x,y,z" players are bad. No one gives a damn. Just leave. No ones gonna bat an eye
3 -
I kinda said why I posted it, it feels better to be able to vent frustrations about the game and issues when there aren't many viable outlets, but whatever "I read this thing voluntarily and feel like I wasted 20 seconds of my day therefore you are the issue not me for reading it" right?
0 -
I never said it was a problem. Just that you've got main character syndrome. That's all. I kinda like reading posts like this cuz it gives me a chuckle. So vent on my dude, it's enjoyable to read

Please don't swap to VHS, here! enjoy double blood points

I really dont know why you guys face hackers that often. I saw like 4 or 5 Hackers in like 6 months.
0 -
Its been on the rise considering hackers know the devs will do next to nothing about it so they can get away with it. You must be one of the lucky ones, I got a hacker probably every 6th or so game
