The best patch BHVR will never make
Yes hello Scott again, but seriously, we all know bhvr will never ever make a patch like this and will never make the game great in such a way, it would take them actual effort into changing the game and fixing the real issues it had for so long but we all know they will never do that, but thank you Scott for showing us what a team of directors that cares about the game would ask the devs to do to their game to make it better.

even though the video is a joke(which was actually pretty good) I disagree with some of these changes. First off Topknot was nerfed already I don’t think he knew that. Making Slinger 115 would not fix his issues he needs more than just more speed, people said the same about Hag and yet she became the best. He mistaked Flip Flop for Buckle up, Flip flop makes recovery progress wiggle progress not range he made a mistake there(I don’t know if that was part of the joke)? Some things I don’t agree with

We had this patch with Boons. Yes we had some very controversial changes like Slinger and boons but they buffed blood favor they buffed most of the bad perks they nerfed hatch buffed Trapper(thank god) and plague a lot of stuff was changed that patch

honestly i forgot to remove the old source from the patch notes I overwrote and left that in there. total mistake.

Honestly I couldn't find a thing I disliked about this "patch" would put the game in a much better state all around (except maybe the deathslinger on thats the only one im on the fence about)

Cause it’s literally the best player of dbd every game always has the one player that comes up with something better than the actual devs and don’t think there not listening they could take any of these ideas at any time. Otz suggested that wraith should have true invisibility and they added that Otz suggested lots of stuff from his blueprint and the devs pretty much did all the stuff he suggested

Players with 3+K hours could balance the game better than the devs would, how many are we with 3K hours and have been playing since 1.0.0? let's say we are 2K left still playing? how could we not balance the game better than a team of 10-30 devs in the balance department who are all but 1-2 bellow rank 10?
and yea please deathslinger revert every single change they made, bring him back the way he was.

this was a good patch yes, but still the real main issues weren't adressed which is map logic and survivors perk balance, and they killed deathsligner, this was a 75% great patch and a 25% awful patch, and tbh that 25% still stopped me from playing my second main which is deathslinger.

I actually really like those fake patch notes. Only ones that are questionable are bloodlust being completely removed and reverting the Stridor change (or the Iron Will buff?). Myers also seeing a survivors aura through walls at tier 3 is also questionable.

Yeah, we got DeathSlinger nerf, Wraith nerf and boons in that patch. I would rather go without it.

He also talked about smaller maps and better RNG map design, so it would make sense to remove it along those changes.

Yeah, but they ######### up a lot when listening only to nerfs when he talked about Deathslinger... That was not the way that Otz talked about it.

it took me 6 minutes to realize it was a meme when i saw it on my yt feed. I was already wondering why does it say 7.0.0 and why the dislike bar was kind of high. When i realized its fake i was overwhelmed with sadness.

Only thing I'm not to keen on is the "see scratch marks through walls" thing given to Predator. That needs a range limit otherwise you can see scratches on the entire map.

This would be the best patch in the game's history by a long shot and the devs will never do it. For whatever reason, they are *extremely* stubborn about many things, solo vs SWF info gap being one of them

The developers are too busy making the next content patch to put enough resources into any meaningful balance.
Can't blame them either, i would do the same as long as people keep buying the DLC's. So, you can complain about balance all you want and how this change and that change would make the game better but every time you purchase a DLC all it does is show them to prioritize hammering out new chapters every few months. It doesn't matter if you play the DLC stuff only for a few weeks or a month, they get your money and your time.

I was SOOOOOOOOO hyped to come back to the game finally......
Should've expected this from Scott, oh well. I will continue to enjoy not playing this game with the way it's going.

The problem is that it takes them years to change anything whether it's good or bad.
It took them 5 years to give Trapper 2 traps base kit which is not even a crazy buff. That was literally changing a number from 1 to 2 and a couple of add-ons.

exactly, don't tell me chaning 1 to 2 would break the nurse blinks or make blight slide on every flat walls or else

Well I got about 2.5k hours and decent experience on both sides but ive only been playing since 2.4.0, which isn't bad but its not 1.0.0 ill give it that
There were 2 main balancing paths they could have taken, balance around keeping the instant scope, or balance around removing the instant scope and buffing the killer, and while im unhappy which side they chose im even more unhappy with how the counterbalancing leaves him bland
32 meter terror radius means he is no longer a stealth killer
and the only counter balance of faster movespeed and shorter cooldown when you break the chain just doesn't cut it, hes still a slow killer with all the drawbacks of being a 110 with none of the real upsides other 110 killers don't have, all other 110 killers can cut chases short but deathslinger doesn't really have anything anymore, he just leaves way too much to be desired
personally I would have just nerfed unscope time to be 0.75~1 second, but kept instant scope, gave him a 32 meter terror radius, and reduced reload time down to 2.25 seconds (and reworked key ring) (or alternatively the reload speed increase give him some kind of movement ability) current balance on him just feels bland which while is

Keep how punchable you find people to yourself, or be polite about it (yes, you can be polite about it)--as is, you sound like smooth-brained thugs, and I know you're better than that. That didn't come off as caring as I intended, but know I just want you to go send time with someone who loves you for a bit.
On topic, I watched the video for kicks; even though I don't necessarily like or agree with Scott, I value collecting the input of others to better understand different perspectives.
I was impressed by some of the suggestions, not so impressed with others; I'd elaborate, but it's off to work for me for a good while, and I need get back to it.

The only thing I dont fully agree with is making maps smaller but not adjusting already strong killers.

massive maps should be adjusted, strong killers are fine how they are, weaker ones need changes

I dont agree with it, because though nerfing maps will bring up weaker killer, it will also bring up killers that do not need the help.
We really don't need to bring back the SS tier.
