Remember when BPS were stacked during double BP events?

It's been a while since I've seen the double blood point event pop up. I've been burning the anniversary cakes as much as I can this time around. But, I remember when people would just stack BPS the entire event. Sure, there were the farming games, but there are people who burned them to still play the game like it is. As long as if the killer or survivors weren't being selfish (camping/tunneling or gen rushing), everybody still benefitted from it. I don't know if majority of the community doesn't need more blood points or if they simply don't care in general. Maybe they might have already burned them all a long time ago. I don't know. It's just very weird to see single digit party streamers burned when playing killer. As survivor, I've seen maybe one or two killers burn a BPS or anniversary cake.

Not saying that the BPS aren't rare. However, it is possible to have this happen in a blood web (I think my second or third time seeing that anomaly ever). It is also possible to just save the BPS for when the double blood point events pop up. The only time I burn BPS is if I plan on going to the next prestige level. Once at P3, I've just sat on BPS unless I get a 4 stack that wants to burn them or this event comes out. I get it that not everybody knows or plans ahead on saving BPS for this once in a blue moon event. It's just strange that after playing this game since late 2017/early 2018 that the stacking of BPS this time around is very low.

Maybe people basically gave up on BHVR running a double BP event, maybe people just don't have them on who they want to play, maybe they're in my boat and haven't had time to save them since starting the game.

I don't have many BPS on survivors and I tend to save them for the rare occasions I play with a SWF. I've used a few this bloodhunt and none of them were on worthwhile games - they were all against killers who were trying to end the game as quickly as possible and I didn't get decent points out of it.

The current state of the game has robbed a lot of good will from the player base on both sides.

Killers are generally not in a good place with MMR, Boons, back to back to back nerfs without any compensation.

Survivors are generally having a better time in the game, but people are getting camped and tunneled out of the game pretty hard right now.

Nobody is going to really waste a BPS when they most likely won't get a game that is long enough and chill enough to make it worthwhile.

Then there are the people who come back only during events and go super tryhard mode on purpose just to make games super short and waste people's offerings

lots of killers camping and sweating out there, i don't ever want to use bps and make the killer get more points. bps only when i play killer because i get to control the match.

It's probably because of our beatiful MMR.

Killers sweat and camp hooks and tunnel people to death.

Sweatsquads who are sticked onto gens and do their daily ritual of clicking and bagging.

People become selfish because of it and drop BP only for themselves. It didn't use to be like that but here we are.

I have more than 400 anniversary cakes on my killers, but since survivors like to trash talk me in the post chat I decided I won’t be using them ever. If I want bps, I’ll be using Survivor Puddings.

The same with my survivors, everytime i burnt a bp cake/bps, the killer decided to play like a tournament. So no offerings.

I have noticed this happens as well like why not try and push the game and get as many BP as possible but no everyone walked out with like 10k counting the bps

100% this. People on either side rarely deserve the extra BP.

My assumptions were correct that the community has become selfish/burned and no longer want to spread the love. We can all thank Behavior for not listening. It really has been a pretty good job so far in splitting the community.

I spent more than 1 mil bp yesterday and found only 5 bps. It is insane how rare those are. With the amount of camping and tunneling as solo survivor lately, no way I use them during events.

Trying to adjust to being a survivor player again, but quickly getting bored with it.

I used Event Cakes (I had over 100 on my Nemesis, and I played him quite a bit, because I needed some more Add Ons) and BPS in every game.

However, two things need to be considered:

    • BPS are very rare. The green Bloodweb-Items are the most of any and BPS compete with many Add-Ons and especially Map Offerings.
    • Bloodhunts are so rare, I dont think many players keep BPS or Event Cakes for those Events. I will never run out of mine, because those Events are so rare that I get more BPS and Cakes than I can actually burn during those Events. And getting 100% Bonus BPs at some point sounds better than storing it for months to MAYBE get a Bloodhunt.

I leveled my Jill from P1 lvl 1 to lvl 50 and I got a grand total of 2 streamers and 4 escape cakes (and I went out of my way to get them). They're not very common.

I did consider that BPS are rare-very rare along with people not storing BPS for a blood hunt event. It still points to the final fact that people have become selfish when they do get them as they don't want to give the sweaty players more points when they are looking for fun even outside of the event.
