Pentimento got (re)buffed!
So basically on the PTB Pentimento said that it would apply the gen slowdown first, then healing. The effect was the other way around so they swapped the text, causing the forums to collectively groan.
Well fear not, they've returned it to what we thought it would be doing!
It may be useful now.

This is a very welcome change, honestly. Pentimento isn't going to be super useful because people break totems more rarely now, but if even a single totem gets properly broken, you'll get some serious value out of this perk.
Between this, the buff to Grim Embrace, and the sensible nerfs to her power, I'm really pleased with how the changes were handled.

Nope, because boons exist, and there is no way for killer to destroy a totems. Besides you know how many time you can waste while resurrecting all five totems?

Survivors are still scared of NOED, plus they need to destroy totems for archives challenge and inner strength.

Ok, but still you will lose a tons of time resurrecting all these totems, you would need basically to make a circle around the map. Gen rush guaranteed

How? Pentimento seems to be useless against boons, because the totems have to be broken.

That's why the other two are there; Plaything to make it less likely the specific person it's affecting actually has the boon perks, and Thrill to make blessing a hex take forever to encourage breaking it instead.
It's not a guaranteed-value build but it could potentially be really strong.

I'm not going to enjoy this perk. If it's still 30% I think this just is another perk that hurts solo q, the weakest part of this game. I'm happy it's not dead anymore but I'm really not sure this perk was a good idea in the first place.

Whoa, wasn't expecting this at all. Maybe I'll end up getting to use Pentimento after all! The main issue (beyond boons) was that it wasn't easy to keep several relit totems up at once. Having one up for periods of time was a much easier goal.
Unfortunately, the perk is going to be one hundred percent useless for Adept Artist because nobody cleanses dulls anymore. Pentimento's an indirect buff to NOED, really.

Thrill makes blessing a boon take 56 uninterupted seconds.
If they still want to bless the hexes the slowdown i get from it will be so much higher then pentimento could ever give me.
The only downside to this build is thrill being found first. But you could just as well forget plaything and bring undying and ruin instead to reduce the risk of that happening

You need to pair it with perks that force survivors to cleanse totems, aka other hexes. Blessing a hex takes 24 seconds so it's a time most survivors don't want to spend.

My swfs isn't afraid of noed. Only baby Survivors are. We boon every totem we can and remember where totems are so if there is noed we get it. And with boons, inner healing isn't used often.

There's just no way pentimento doesn't get nerfed to 15-20% in my mind. Soloq and newbies wont understand why they are being slowed or how to stop it if they don't forum or research. Or even if they do, they wont have the comms to ask directly who should go handle it and where.
If Pinhead overperformed, this will too imo.

Can confirm this is true, lol. I noticed this on like day 2 of boons when I was testing some stuff with my friends.
Honestly it makes more sense being 28 anyways since it’s double the normal time.
