This is upsetting
Ok so I've played fair amount of Artist games and I felt like I'd try to go against her as survivor (I was doing fine against her on PTB).
Buuuut, the issue is that nobody seems to play her. I've tried just about 6 games but I was expecting to see at least 1 artist since she just release and is considered pretty good killer.
Unfortunately, no luck. Have you people seem many artists ? If not, why do you think it's the case.
I hope I'm just unlucky, it would be a shame if she was never played.

Don't bother. She is incredibly unfun to versus.

I liked facing her on PTB a lot. Anti loop killers are far more interesting to loop then basic M1 ones imo.

I'll be real here.
I don't want to play her with incomplete perks in my MMR for some reason Survivors are just sweating it hard. So I'm grinding her Blood web at the moment maybe until I at least get Barbecue to farm. That and I just find her power boring if I really have fun with it I would be playing her regardless if my loadout is crap.

It’s actually the opposite, you don’t have to use your brain when playing as her.

While I do think that she will need some small changes that give her slightly more counterplay in future, to make her more fun for some people, your opinion doesn't have to be the same as that of everyone. Some people enjoy going against killers that you might not enjoy going against.
And maybe you just haven't figured out a good way to counterplay the Artist yet. Not to mention that Killers need to be strong and be able to down survivors reliably fast to keep up with the gen times in this game currently. I am not sure if she will actually need more changes, maybe she is fine the way she is.

Considering boons have not been touched, mmr is terrible at higher lvls and this killer is original. I imagine killer community probably have no incentive to come back dbd again. I don't feel the urge to come back so bhvr will just have to find other meat for their grinder that is playing killer.
A side note. There's nothing wrong with an original character. In fact I like them because bhvr is free to do whatever they want with them and there is zero chance of them suddenly disappearing once the license runs up(Rip demopupper). Since they aren't a licensed killer there isn't an already existing fan base so there isn't a surge in player basis when an original killer arrives.

I played with the artist but the genrush was so big that I gave up. And level up a character from the ground adds to the frustration

Sound about as much as looping open loop vs M1 killer. At least here you can about the crows.

Until BHVR changes how maps are with all the safe Gens/Loop after Loop/Map Size we will see more anti loop Killers. Personally she is fine the way she is, the people who says "she has no counterplay" are people who DONT want to learn and dont want to stop using loop after loop until the Killer gets annoyed and leaves.
Just like with Old Spirit she had a counterplay but no one wanted to learn it they just complained "NO COUNTERPLAY ERRR NERF". Artist seems really fun and has alot of potential to be a top tier Killer.

I've had two games tonight, both was against The Old Crow.
First game was on her map as well, I quite like it but its a bit too bright, had a good game against her but I get the feeling that the killer didn't really know how to play her, I was trying to do a challenge so she ended up killing me (and Bill) quite an enjoyable game though.
Second game was on one of the old maps, again I was trying to get a challenge done and again she got the kill against me, second game was a lot tougher though.
All in all I'm quite happy with how she looks.
I won't be buying her just yet though, I'll wait for the hype to die down and she'll no doubt get nerfed or buffed and I'll buy her then.
Has anyone used the survivor yet? any idea if the perks are any good?

She's fun to face, but I hope some of your killers come to me because I don't want to bore of her. Her ice cosmetic is really well designed, even if it does look like something out of Flash Gordon.

Oh lord, I want to like it, but that cosmetic makes me think of a huge duck chasing me xD combined with her bird chokes, I'm basically laughing my head off running from "big-bird".
On a side note, I've had a healthy dose of her today!

I've played 4 games as her. Did pretty well. You guys don't know how to play against her yet.
However, tonight I feel like zooming around as Billy. So I'm not committed to her 100%
But she's fun!! Alot to learn. But I definitely enjoy her.

Faced her a couple of times today;
I found it really easy to waste her time and force m1 gameplay. Kept getting crows on me until I learned the tells but she was never able to injure or down me with them. With the nerf to idle crows I have seen alot of players counter the power by running into it before she can make use of a setup.

Went against her all night last night to the point I WANTED to see a Spirit or even a Bubba lol This morning only 1 so far. The map though I've only played on once. Is there no offerings for this one? I've closed out 5 blood webs and nothing.
