I don’t care for it personally since I don’t use exhaustion perks but at least it won’t be an issue for me as killer since I play clown

Tbh I don't see the fun in making the killer take 12 years to catch back up to you since holding w has no counter against most killers.

You're too stuck in an us vs them mindset to be worth arguing with.

I'm more mocking the general sense of these forums. It's rather pathetic. Any perk survivors get that might be worth running gets massive outrage on these forums. I mean... The suggestion that after 20 seconds of running you should basically just drop dead doesn't really lend these forums even the slightest bit of credibility. That's a real thing someone said on here tonight.

Don't act like the people around you haven't made these forums a joke.

I Don't see why you want survivor to take zero skill. Which is what holding W takes. Zero skill. All I want is for looping to be the primary way of playing survivor since it, you know, takes some modicum of skill. Holding W is also just boring to play against or to do. I play like 80% survivor these days. I want to loop and mind game, not hold W. A game with zero skill involved isn't fun unless you just like seeing "YOU ESCAPED!" and feeling like you somehow accomplished something.

Its a perk that complements an annoying game design.

Like you. Your so blind that you can't see what perks Like Overcome does to the balance, what's left of it that is, of the game. Only a very select few killers can actually catch survivors now who run Overcome. They get hit zoom away and hide in a Boon field and heal back.

And survivors wonder why their Que times are increasing........

Trapper, Billy, Bubba, Myers, Ghostface and Oni by base can make the perk never activate at all.

Add addons and you can practically double that list.

Nurse, Blight, Legion, Wraith and to an extend Spirit have movement abilities by base that make short work of the distance it creates.

Every killer can ensure Overcome only activates once if they tunnel of hook

Starstruck, MyC, Noed, Devour Hope are perks that completly circumvent the perk.

You really shouldn't talk about being blind to balance if you are saying "only a handfull of killers can deal with it" and choose to ignore the immens downsides this perk has.

It's Smash Hit tier. Good for distance if it manages to work but straight up useless in some matchups

to the people that are complaining about overcome in here, it's basically like SB only they get 2 seconds after they get hit, I honestly prefer the other exhaustion perks.

Ok let's see where shall I begin......humm ok from the top then.

Trapper will be lucky to get enough traps down with the current GenRush mindset that's out right now, but yes if you trap someone that ignores Overcome for that hit.

Yes Billy and Bubba are instant down Killers but good loopers and the oh so nice hit boxes of killers will make connecting hard for said instant downs. I rarely get hit by the chainsaws unless I make a silly or stupid mistake in my escape plan. Which then leaves them with the option of weapon hits.

Myers I'll give that to you but a good Myers player is hard to deal with anyway.

Ghostface is just sad.....very Sad.....a survivor that gets a full exposed status from him deserves to get hooked.

Oni still has to get a weapon hit before he can get his instant down and then it's back to the Billy and Bubba response.

Now Addons you won't always have and if your going for a certain build and not put said addons in then those addons are useless.

Any perk is useless of a Killer is lame enough to tunnel off hook, but not all killers are like that.

Nurse, Blight, Wraith, and Spirit is who I was talking about in the handful and why did you even bring Legion into this that poor Killer has been beat down so badly he just wishes he was a good killer. But Billy can be added here because he can quickly make up ground with his chainsaw.

Devour hope won't last long enough to be a issue like all Hexs, any survivor that sticks around the killer while Star Struck is active deserves to be downed anyway, same goes for NOED, if the survivors dont want to do bones anymore that's their problem. Haven't seen anyone run MyC for a while but again if a survivor run BT the one who is unhooked will body block like normal.

So yes when I talk about Game Balance I know what I'm talking about because I have seen the counters and know them like everyone else.

Only the handful I mentioned can actually keep up with a Overcome player.

It counters tunneling garbage killer mains.

Looping takes no skill, camping hook takes no skill, throwing pallets takes no skill, doing gens takes no skill, Holding W takes no skill also just like running around rocks. People think this game is skillful LOL!

If you get trapped by trapper and put in the basement you also aren't overcoming over any traps.

If a billy and bubba can't connect chainsaws they are doomed to lose no matter the perks the survivors run.

Oni doesn't need to get a down for his ability so you don't need to catch the same survivor again.

That it's lame doesn't take away that tunneling of hook makes this perk useless. Not all killers are like that but survivors are not going to take that gamble. Sprint burst and dead hard work of hook. Why bet on having a nice killer or not if you don't have to.

Legions biggest problem is downing people and dead hard is a huge part of it. Legion can easilly keep up with overcome. That they are low tier doesn't change the fact that overcome is bassicly a dead perk vs them.

Forgot to mention plague too in my first post. Also completly circumvents the perk unless you give her one of the strongest ranged attacks.

The tunnel of hook is the biggest thing that will make overcome dissapear in a couple of weeks. That it's lame doesn't mean that it doesn't happen and survivors are not going to take that risk.

There are just to many situations where this perk just straight up becomes dead.

Tunneling off hook hasn't made BT dissapear and many killers have tunneled the receiver of BT and the one who used it many times, I have seen the threads about it many times.

Legion is still one of the worst killers now and it's not because of perks like DH. Even with with ability he is still a basic M1 killer that can easily be looped to death.

But that's your opinion and I have mine. We will see in time who is right and wrong.

I'm sorry i'm not following the BT argument. BT actually helps against tunneling. It even helps if it's not in play. Killers wait 12 seconds before hitting. In that time you can get somewhere or someone has time to bodyblock. And if you do get hit the speedburst you get from it is enough to reach a safe tile 9/10

Overcome litterally does nothing in that scenario. Every single other exhaustion perk can do something.

Maybe this is just me having a pessimistic mind. But all i can see when i look at overcome is all the situations where it doesn't do anything.

We'll see who's right but i believe Overcome will end up alongside build to last, power struggle and all the other perks these forums said were going to be op and dissapeared in a week

It's just nice to see someone with actual smart responses not just the normal cookie cutter responses. It's been awhile since I had a good conversation like that.

Absolutely. Looping is much more enjoyable. But since half the killer's now get guaranteed hits when you get locked into an animation at a window or pallet... What's the alternative? This supposed "hold w" meta is a direct result of all the ranged and "anti loop" killers.

Actually, my queue times are pretty good as long as I leave cross play off and don't have to deal with console players.

Overcome is not that big of a deal. Killers on this forum like to scream that any perk more useful than useless is the end of the world and bad for the game. I could make similar claims for several killers themselves being bad for the game.

I'm surprised it's taken me this long to finally meet a survivor main this entitled and holds the ######### mindset of "pc players > console players".
