Why I don't run boons
Honestly, cant be asked finding a totem and setting them up when I could be doing an objective or helping the boys instead. Its also kinda redundant running back to keep it up when again, can be doing anything else. Also, I know killers find it somewhat unfair and cheap (personally when I play killer I don't) so I don't want to contribute to their frustrations. I rather use my perk slots for perks that help me in the chase (e.g exhaustion perks) and help my team (e.g prove thyself, BT, we'll make it). Anyways cheers.
Also, I want M.O.M, Flip flop buffs
and a buckle-up rework, make it usable.

I’m just glad survivors have another meta option tbh

Oh no. You need to use boons every game, especially CoH, because it's just busted, it ruins game balance and turn killer's walk in the park into Battle of Verdun.
The more you use it, the faster BHVR will realise it's completely broken and needs to be nuked.

CoH is basically better we'll make it for everyone in your team. Only perk better for your team is Borrowed Time.
I accept reason that you don't want to piss off killers more than they already are, but otherwise I think you just don't want to bother searching for totems.
I have pleayed Detective's hunch for a long time to learn totem spawns, so that is not really an issue for me...

Finding totems and easy, and if you really want to help your team, you should be doing them so there is no possibility of noed.
I use whatever perks I feel like, I don't stop using something just because the other side finds it frustrating.

It didn't really change.
You just have old meta perks + 2 players with CoH that makes it worse for a killer.

Yeah but it's not a very fun one, I rather they buff some shitey perk to spice things up (cough...mettle of man...cough)

"you should be doing them so there is no possibility of noed."
And meanwhile you are not on a Gen which means you might not even reach Endgame. NOED is a win-win for the Killer - either the Survivors did all Totems, wasting a lot of time giving the Killer a higher chance to win the game (if they cannot win with 70+ extra seconds, it is on them...) or giving a Speed Increase and Oneshot.
@Topic:
Yeah, I also dont run Boons because of that. I do not run Hexes for years since I dont want to deal with Totems and I wont start doing that as Survivor now. For me personally, my current build is better without Boons, so I just stick to it.
That Killers feel that Boons are too strong does not matter with that, there was some point where I actually cared for Killers having fun, but since they dont care either and dont hold back on their loadouts, I dont really see that as a factor anymore.

"I actually cared for Killers having fun, but since they dont care either and dont hold back on their loadouts"
It's funny, but they are still expected to hold back during the game...
Just for fun, what is your build?

I mean yeah I'll find em but, boons aren't fun IMO, even if they are quite helpful. I rather find other more engaging ways to help the team, just how I want to play the game. I mean if you enjoy holding left click, by all means.

Oh right, but prove thyself is so much fun to play against and not holding left click.

Iron Will, DS, BT and Adrenaline.
Back when DS was in its original state, I did not run it, because I thought it was unfair. But as I said, not that Killers care for something like that.

I do totems all the time in solo q. It has nothing with me doing totems if we dont escape, it has to do with people going down in 2 seconds and the other 2 not splitting on gens.
I will not do totems if they killer is facecamping, otherwise, I sure will.
0 -
Yeah, but if you know that others are not doing Gens, you are also not progressing the game. Especially since doing Totems is pointless, if you dont reach the Endgame anyway.
0 -
Well if the others are being useless it's a waste of time anyway so might as well get my free 1k+ BP

You don't want to piss killers off, but your running exhaustion perks, prove thyself, and BT?
1 -
I don't run boons either, the COH is really strong but I prefer SC and medkit.

You piss Killers off by not dying to them already. You can run 4 Meme Perks and they will be upset that they lost. Killers are super sensitive.
I got called a Tryhard by a Nurse for running No Mither. And a Clown-Player (with Exhaustion Bottles) in a game where a Jake dropped all Pallets at the start was raging because I got lucky and found Hatch. Also while using No Mither.
Everything is possible.

Mkay I'll give you prove thyself but cmon man Bt is essential for helping the boys, and how can a killer get pissed from not being able to tunnel?
0 -
They should rework mettle of man!!! I take protection hits and it doesn't count 🙄
1 -
Don't say it like that. Both sides are super sensitive. You have no idea how many times I was told to die... funny when survivors say that to the killer, I guess they didn't read the script.
If I see survivors with pebble, they are gonna live. After XX games with meta perks, I can definetly appreciate something funny for sure. I always had a rule, if you can make me laugh, you will live.
You are like "I play meta perks, because killers do", and? You play them because you want to. Only perk that I can agree is needed is BT.
Killer doesn't know what perks you are going to use. It's just super rare to see some interesting builds since SBMM and just because you might use meme builds, doesn't mean your teammates will.

Ouch....damn

No judgment, run what you like. I just prefer CoH to BT. I'll take the hit and they can go heal while I take chase.
But as @Aven_Fallen has stated, folks get mad for anything these days.

I’m convinced at this point that when posters complain about “boons” being overpowered they really mean “Circle of Healing” is overpowered because the other two Boons just don’t seem to be as good as that one. Yeah Shadowstep might help someone evade a killer in a chase sometimes, and maybe there’s actually a match where a down was recovered from Exponential, but Circle of Healing actually significantly changes how survivors play when injured since they can just take a bit to run and recover near it if they don’t have Self Care or a medkit handy. Its healing speed makes this an effective strategy against any killer that tries to spread injuries out rather than focus down on a single target one at a time. Of the three boons it’s the one that is actually meta changing in practice.
So it’s not the Boon system as a whole that’s overpowered or game changing, it’s this one specific Circle of Healing perk. Which just means that if he devs decide to do any nerfs all they have to do is turn down the healing speed of Circle of Healing to balance it out.

I mean , you shouldn't really generalize an entire group due to some specific cases.
We all play the same game, if we can't act one as a community then this game has an unstable future

Your actions are very honorable, mate.
