Blocked audio chat during a game
For the games to be really balanced, you have to block the audio chat when the itch starts, whether PlayStation, Xbox, steam, as soon as the game notices that there is an audio chat, that it can block it, just for the game not for the lobby

And how do you propose this will work?
That would require the game to check all PC files not just game files which would be incredibly invasive. Also, people can always use Discord on their phones.

In-game voice chat needs to be added, with proximity chat & the option to mute players. The muted players could have an icon above their head or w/e indicating they're talking.

This really isn't feasible. When it comes down to it, you can be playing DBD in the same room as a party member. How are you going to stop that? You just can't. There's too many factors to consider. Stopping comms was doomed from the start.
Which means the game needs to allow some means of survivor communication in its basekit. Pings, voice, better HUD, I don't care; what isn't tenable is this huge gap between solos and SWFs (who are the only ones who can use comms.) The game can't be balanced when half of survivors are blind, half of survivors have coordination and info that surpasses all the info perks in this game at once, and the game doesn't differentiate between the two at all. We've seen repeatedly that the game can't be balanced for both at the same time. Pinhead's a fantastic recent example of this, where giving him addons to make his box useful against coordinated teams absolutely slaughtered uncoordinated teams, so they got nerfed, but now he has nothing to handle teams that reliably designate one person to handle the box, versus the ones where three players are going for it when it's five seconds away from going off, or the ones where every survivor thinks someone else will deal with it.
I really cannot stress enough just how valuable it is to know what your teammates are doing in this game, and how much time is saved by having exactly the amount of people needed to do a job trying to do it, not more and not less. SWF doesn't improve players' mechanical skill, and it can't turn weak players strong, but their team decisionmaking shoots through the roof and many of the mistakes you see in solo queue - the kind that buy the killer time and free downs - just don't happen in SWF.

Okay so you stop me having Discord open on my PC, I just have my laptop next to me and my headset has 2 different input methods (USB and 3.5mm). You're solving nothing for a massive invasion of privacy.

Ah yes, instead of using resources towards game health like fixing bugs and performance BHVR should use resources and time to block 3rd party chat on PCs and consoles only for people to just download the free Discord app onto their phones and continue to chat through there. Good plan.

It would be easier to add voice chat and balance around it.It wont be possible to balance between killers,SWF with comms and solo players without it.Its easier to make all survivors being able to have same tools.

Make SWF a separate mode out of the main MM queue (maybe with a separate set of game rules to balance things), so that the killers can choose who to play against: solos or SWFs. Problem solved.

Anytime a mod posts it's nothing of any substance.
Yes the Op's post is unfeasible, but the current game health seems to be unfeasible long term as well.

The OP's idea is probably one of the dumbest suggestions I've ever seen that literally nobody would agree to participating in.
