Has free epic game store created a new army of toxic smurfs?

Survivors I've played against have been particulalry obnoxious and toxic the last few days.

I see the same thing over and over again, a base game survivor with 1 to 2 perks unlocked who has amazing map knowledge and very competent looping.

They also play the highly obnoxious card with the Bm'ing and the flashlight clicking, also lots of noise/vault spamming.

It reeks of the old days when you'd get 3 reds and 1 grey trying to game the MMR to get newer killers just to be obnoxious and farm points of them.

These so called "bully" squads are often in your face and not focused on completing objectives at all.

I'm a casual player these days and my MMR has probably nose dived due to just playing chill and often letting everyone escape for the heck of it.

Sadly for these bully squads instead of getting a new killer they get me, who trolls them a lil first just to make sure it is what I suspect it is, then ######### destroys them because hey they aren't focusing on objectives.

They then meltdown like you wouldn't believe in endgame chat, the salt oh my god the salt.

Now even if you 4k these people it isn't fun to play with them and there seems to be a never ending army of them lately.

Making the basegame FTP just seems like another really foolish idea given just how pathetically toxic this game's player base can be.

    It created the an army of everything really. Smurfs, cheaters, baby players who watched too many youtube videos so I'm gonna bring clicky clicky.

    Not much you can do about it other than knowing these people are serious losers in real life. This game just synergizes too well with the internet bullies given the 1v4 nature and the million second chance perks and pallets the survivors have

    I'm convinced that toxic bully squads never get banned no matter how much racism they exhibit or how many times they tell you to ######### in endgame chat because they buy neon cosmetics hand over fist

    Yes I noticed them. Especially spamming in lockers then coming in my face (the killer) instead of doing the last generator.

    I noticed the same thing over the weekend. I sometimes do the archive tasks for my wife for killers that she can't manage. Her MMR is much lower than mine, so I usually play without Perks to make it a little fairer. 


    And yes, nearly every other game I then had those bully squads. They didn't really get anywhere with me then and I can only agree, the salt in the chat, was so sweet. XD


    But I can understand why my wife often has no desire to play DBD more. She is pure casual player, mainly because DBD is one of my hobbies and mostly she has no desire after 2 rounds.

    I had a game Sunday night. I was The Pig and I was against 3 Claudette and 1 Meg. I should've known then and there to skip the lobby but I didn't. The survivors then proceeded to hide the ENTIRE match, on the swamp map, without completing a single generator. They never even bothered to repair one. Why? Ffs, why be so damn petty? That match took me forever to find and hook them. After a long time, I finally killed 3 of them off with the Meg sitting at the hatch doing the usual butt dance. Why taunt and gloat? They played like legit trolls and got massacred without a single gen ever being started. I'll never understand why people, especially in DbD, are so ######### petty and obnoxious. I do understand actually. Some people exist in life only to ######### annoy others.

    Its really off putting isn't it? I totally get why some of the folks I played have said you know I don't want to game with these people anymore and quit DBD.

    It should be short term. Smurfing is less impactful because of MMR. If these "new" players win their games, their results will soon raise them up and they will be competing against good killers but won't have the perks they need.

    Yeah that's why I've called it for a bit.

    Give it a week or two and it should drop off again. Shame is I'm sitting around with a broken hand this week so was trying to get a few games in but I think I'll focus on something else instead.

    I can understand my wife not feeling like it especially with killer rounds. She wouldn't have been able to handle those guys. 


    But there will always be Smurfs and we can't stop people from using them.


    I'm sadly lost and way too addicted to the game to give it up. 


    And the good thing is, I don't have chat on my PS4 so I don't have to dry salty tears. XD
