anyone wanna talk about how unpopular the oni is?
The oni is so underrated. he is a great killer, really fun to play and go against, and great cosmetics. why is he so unpopular?

Because the meta is healing and you can’t do that if they just keep on healing themselves as soon as they’re injured. Plus everyone just plays safe to try and not get hit while in chase

He is an M1 killer as long as he didnt got at least 1 hit in, so just predrop the pallets and youll be able to wzste ton of time with small looping, with à good surv team hes easy to counter and beat

I’m guessing it’s because his skill floor is very high and his skill ceiling even higher

cute steve pfp

You too g, guardian best perk 💀(I’m never calling it like that omfg)

Besides the fact that he spends a large portion of the game being an M1 killer, and besides the fact that we're in a meta that heavily favors tunneling, not slugging, he also suffers from pre-buff plague and post-nerf Deathslinger syndrome.
He just feels clunky. it's like you're swimming in molasses.

With healing boons he's really been hit hard.

Tbh the topknot nerf probably drove away some people

He's not an easy killer to use and can be downright useless if you get a bad map (basically anything indoors, Haddonfield, or maps where the RNG decided the survivors deserve 500000 pallets).
He can snowball something fierce but if you can't get that snowball rolling, he's completely impotent.
Then CoH once again pops up to wave at another killer who specializes in injuring survivors to spread out pressure, something CoH directly counters.

This is really no different from saying there’s hardly any good billy players anymore.

Thats why Plague is so strong right now.

Boon meta destroyed hit and run and slugging play styles. Oni is in that list.
You also just pre-drop pallets early in that game to prevent his power early and he gets screwed.

Because he's an M1 Killer the majority of the time, and CoH killed him like how Exponential killed Twins
2 -
Still maining him, as he is the only killer i have all perks unlocked on.
Also often found on the fun to vs and absent on the not fun to vs lists here.
But i also only play every other week and on low MMR and don't kill (aka a training dummy killer player)

Blight is just oni but you don't need to build your power

He's too hard to control for me. He's supposed to be this "S tier killer" while on his ability but the fov is so bad and survivors can just dead angle him, it's not even worth it.

It killed slugging Twins, which was the most efficient way to play Twins, which means Twins died at high MMR (as if they weren't already dead since CoH came out)

Oni is great, but like Billy, I think he got hard outclassed by Blight. Sure, Blight doesn't have an instadown, but he has high mobility all the time and his power always helps him in loops, which isn't the case when Oni's trying to get Blood Fury.
He's good, but his weakness is very exploitable in high level play and so he'll never be good enough for the meta.

Well, what did you expect? He was never popular before and people demanded nerfs for Topknot, which for how strong it might have been, the main counterplay to Oni is to delay him from getting his power in the first place.
He's another killer that has to deal with CoH on top of getting nerfed in the same patch.

I've never heard of STBFL on Twins, is it better than STBFL on Demo?

i wanna hear everyones thoughts about nemesis, please.

Good to know that chase Twins exists

I like playing him a lot, but people transitioning from loop meta to W meta hurt him a lot, and COH destroys him.

Because of the healing meta. Survivors not staying injured = no power for Oni. He needs a better passive gain on Blood Fury to actually be good now.
