Will people ever realise that ranks are replaced by grades and are irrelevant to matchmaking?

I think not.

Probably not, but there is a little bit of truth in the claims. If somebody manages to get to red rank grade and it's only like a week after reset, then it's clear that they play a considerable amount, and are dedicated or skilled enough to get there.

Of course this observation weakens as the month goes on, but I think it holds some water at least.

Worst part is the players that dont understand are the devs balancing point.

Of course not. Especially new players. Think about it, if they really dont have anything to do with matchmaking, why tf are they still shown after every single match? Makes no sense

It won't. Never. It should be shown in other way than emblem and name "survivor grade" sounds as if it is your rank. There is completely no indicstion whatsoever what is your skill anyway.

Thats why most of the community looks at killer/survivor grade. They have to change it abd give us overall information how are we rated.

Lets say Ash / Silver / Gold / Red. Hidden mmr doesnt have to mean you shouldnt know at all where are you belong to. At this moment I have no urge to play hard. After 20 won matches in a row I dont feel like I get better killers to play against.

No. I find myself explaining it several time per week.

Well, having older players with reset ranks being matched with players similarly skilled, but with higher ranks, seems legit. But the current matchmaking system matches low skilled players with low ranks with players who have higher ranks. Low ranks does NOT indicate low MMR, but high ranks DOES indicate high MMR, as players need to win games to get there.

Yes, my friends keep acting like grades have to do with MMR even though it's a completely separate thing.

No, because this is simply a dumb way to implement that system. You see the ranks and not the mmr. And ranks are meaningful quite a lot.

Should be replaced with the player character's portrait in the results screen. That at least removes that confusion.

Probably better. But it will be disappointing to have nothing to campare to...

Someone made a suggestion that the character icons should replace the grades at the endgame screen, which I think is a great idea.

    I don't know.

What I do know is that I will never forgive BHVR for removing Ranks.
