How do you loop The Artist?
Returning player after almost a year hiatus. The new killers are interesting, but I'm baffled on how to loop The Artist effectively. Obviously being unpredictable helps but that's not always possible depending on the loop you're at. Just wondering if anyone else has figured out an effective strategy? I just keep getting crowed through walls and its rather frustrating.

I don’t think you can loop vs a decent Artist. They just lock down the window/pallet.
I pretty much just pre drop, loops until they crow, hold W, run unpredictably to next tile etc.

You don't loop The Artist. Her kit shuts down looping, but struggles with Hold W.

Hold W and Pre drop maybe even let her mind game herself to get more distance also remember that you can't get damage as long as you're not within a certain distance to get damage by crows. Just accept that you're gonna inevitably get downed at one point either get zoned out or die trying to loop just take her away from the objectives getting worked on and you'll should be out with your last hook state.

You don't. You just run and try to waste as much of her time as possible so others can do gens. That's it.

You leave the loop pretty much

The best answer is that at a loop she has no counter play period.
Good artists can facilitate situations where you go down to matter what. What most people do is attempt to bait the power out and run else where.
If you are forced to play the loop then you could attempt to bait her power out but this creates a 50/50 of is she could to launch birds or is she just going to M1.

You chain tiles.
Simular to trapper trapping the pallet she slows down a lot setting up her birbs so you can make it to the following tile
If you have a good understanding of when her birds dissapate you can eventually even circel back to the loop you started at.
People refer to this as hold w against her ussualy

Which is a bit of a misuse of the phrase hold W, since chaining tile’s isn’t really the same thing as just running forward for distance. Chaining tiles is more like doing a figure 8 between two or three tiles than running in one direction, and it takes more general game awareness to pull off.

You can't, she's huntress and trapper combined.

Chain tiles.

If the player knows what they are doing with her, you don't. Seriously, you can't loop her if the operator is halfway decent.
Pre-drop, hold w, buy time.

You just have to approach her in a different manner but she can get looped. Most players have just not adapted to her and try the easy way of holding shift+w. This can help but you asked about looping and not about the general tactic. Keep track where she puts her crows and which direction they are facing. Keep track of how long the birds can remain and only run into them from behind so you only get swarmed by them. Repel the swarm as soon as possible.
Also chain tiles. While Hag and Trapper shut down a tile, Artists can only block it for a limited times. Thus chaining two tiles into each other is the way to go. Once she shuts down the first go to the seconds and once she shuts that down go to the first (depending on the tile).
You can also combine this with shift+w. Remember that she has to trap the loop first so you can usually run at least 1 round before leaving the tile. Letting her trap it and then leave if before you run into the trap. Artist slows down while trapping and this takes advantage of that.
Finally elevation is your friend. Her power can not deal well with multiple levels making loops with drops (Haddonfun, Swamp, Game) very good. Keep an eye out for those and use them.
So far I had no problems with this and only got downed by missing my tracking of her power or running into a crow from the front like an idiot...

You can't.

You move between two or more tiles. Instead of looping a single junk tile 3 times until you drop the pallet, you loop it until she starts setting up crows. Then, if possible, you run to a nearby tile - she's slowed while doing this and she'll have no crows/power to chase you with for a short period of time at the new tile. If she places crows again, wait for an opportunity and run to another adjacent tile - maybe even the old one.
You can loop Artist, you just need to link 2 tiles instead of just one. Much like how you can loop a Hag.

Just have to get lucky if you're gonna stay in the same loop forever. Probably better off pre dropping pallets and using longer loops for distance. Like the main building and shack. Also being unpredictable while waiting around walls will help shake off the birds. Most Artists I see will default all of their birds to corners or windows before throwing them.
